Summer Scribes
Welcome to Summer Scribes, the third anthology created by the students of Central College's Creative Writing and E Publishing course. Here, you will find seven short stories, plus a compendium of poems, from seven promising authors, all from Nottingham. The anthology is sumptuously diverse, both in genre and amongst the creative team, with something inside these pages for everyone. Readers will find contemporary fiction, travel, romance, revenge, humour and more. Summer Scribes also includes poetry that is both raw, confrontational and sometimes simply laugh out loud funny, calling to mind such luminaries as Pam Ayres and the dark visions of Sylvia Plath. Poetry is making more and more of a comeback and the movement is well represented in this anthology.
