Nathanial Miles and Adelaide Winston had been best friends since they were ten years old. They may have been as different as chalk and cheese but they were always there for each other. Addy's life was going as well as could be expected of any twenty five year old. She had a fine job and a new apartment with her boyfriend of going on a year, Stanford. The most important thing in her life though was still Nate. Stanford often complained that she spent more time with Nate than him but Addy couldn't help it. Nate had seen her through a lot of her life, whether good or bad. He was her rock, the one person she could always depend on. So when Addy finds out that Stanford has been sleeping with one of her co-workers, she of course turns to Nate. The one person she knew she could trust more than anything. Her wonderful best friend offers her everything from the keys to his front door to a new job. Between ex's trying to take from them, they stand together as always. She knew that her heart had been with her best friend for many, many years. All she could wonder was if Nate felt the same for her.
Sandra Corton has been writing stories since her teenage years. She now writes for her many followers on Wattpad and for the sheer pleasure of writing. She tends to write romance that sometimes exists in the realm of fantasy. She writes both teen and adult fiction. When her characters want their story written she is expected to write it, no matter how young or old they are. She lives on the Central Coast of Eastern Australia (so now her odd spelling might make sense) with her husband, her cat and her husband’s collection of pythons (now around twenty).
From childhood to adulthood, this amazing book travels alongside Nathaniel Miles, a rich boy in a high social class, and Adelaide Winston, a young but poor girl who's parents want her to fit in in a social class they can't even afford. My favorite part of this well-written novel is how people of different backgrounds can get along. Even people on different parts of the social latter can hold hands. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a "sit down and don't look up" type of book. This isn't just a story, it's reality. The style of writing Sandra Corton uses makes you feel like you are really there. The humor in this and the confusion between these two best friends is something that I will always be able to laugh about. The blindness of the characters about many topics was the highlight for me. When I look for books, I look for something that I will truly enjoy inside. This was definitely something I enjoyed. I recommend reading it as soon as possible.
A perfect wonderful love story of two best friends. Nate so gruff but loving, while Adelaide both feisty and shy. This tale showed how the best friends moved to love with a beautiful ending.
