Jacob Have I Loved

Rate this book
This book is a 30 day devotional. It contains inspirational nuggets and poetry. There are scripture references for each day. The devotionals are short and inspirational. This book would make a great gift for someone who is traveling or perhaps a busy housewife who has only snippets of time for reading. It can easily be tucked into a purse or suitcase, to be pulled out and read while waiting at the airport or doctor's office.

This was one of the first books that really affected me as a reader. I think any middle schooler can identify with the main character's feelings of loneliness, isolation, and invisibility. Yes, it's a junior high classic.

I hated this book.
It probably has to do with being a second child, but I really didn't like it. It was sad.
