Dear Miss Evans, My aunt's attorney has assured me that the best solution to the problems facing us would be to marry...
Nick Silverman needed a mother for his orphaned niece, and Caroline needed money to pay her Grandma's hospital bills. It certainly wasn't a marriage made in heaven, but Caroline was determined to make it work - for baby Amanda's sake. But whilst Caroline - a Texas girl, born and bred - knew plenty about cattle ranching, she knew very little about lean and sexy Outback ranchers...but she was going to find out!

The extra star because of the amusement provided by OW. Yes she really was a piece of art, so nasty and meddling, poking her nose and creating every possible misunderstanding between H n h , but she was too predictable, so that became an amusement.

Descriptive Imagery specially pertaining to eyes and the emotions, both perceptible as well as imperceptible, in their depth never fails to tickle my fancy and captivate me!!
Caroline looked into his clear grey eyes. His light eyes were startling.
Her own eyes were blue, a smudgy, smoky blue. Nick's were the color of storms and steely dawns.
Caroline wished she had sunglasses to offer her some measure of protection from the penetrating gaze of the man beside her.
His silvery eyes seemed to touch her very soul.
She felt exposed and vulnerable beneath his penetrating gaze.
The glimmer in his silvery eyes evoked sensations that threatened her precarious balance.
She shivered at the hot desire in his eyes.
She blushed as she met the dancing lights in his steely gaze.
She was mesmerised by the shimmering silver heat of his eyes.
All the descriptive eyes apart, the story was very good. It had a predictably troublesome wannabe other women. A sweet innocent little baby girl. A grumpy and truculent grandpa. A little too friendly for comfort waiting in the wings cop.
The book began with a letter from the hero to the heroine and ended with a letter from the heroine to her grandmother.
An Aussie rancher needs a mother for his orphaned niece and he mail-orders a wife from Texas. The plot is run-of-the-mill but what makes this book ticklish good is the jealousy scenes.
From the onset, the relationship between H/h is one of cooperation and partnership. The guy is gruff but I liked the way he makes it clear to his interfering grandpa that he and his bride are a team and if she can’t be accepted, he’ll move themselves out. The chemistry between the two is out in the open. They share physical intimacies not only in the bedroom but also in caresses and embraces in private moments during the day. The heroine would seethe and confront the hero about the OW-wannabe while he would fume when his wife was given rose-bushes by a friendly neighbor. I liked that he cut roses in the pouring rain despite his avowal of being non-romantic.
The only push that they need to make their relationship into a normal marriage was the verbal admission that they’ve grown to love each other despite their awkward beginning.
Taka to proza kobieca z lat 90. Urocza.
Things I freaking hate (in books and also in real life -though I never seen it in rl before): when a man thinks he's been "macho" by ordering at the restaurant without the woman permission, not even asking her what does she want. Seriously? Are you freaking kidding me?! And this is a pattern in a lot of books, I hate that. What will you find in this book that's different than other books: two people that actually talks to each other, and so no misunderstanding between them (if you exclude the L word). Whaaaaaateeeeeeveeeeer. =___=
Carloine needed the money that aunt Edith - her long grandmother's friend - lefted her in her will to treat her ailing grandmother. But, unfortunatley, there was a stipulation! She had to marry Nickolas Silverman who made it plain from the start he wanted no money nor romance, but a permanent wife and mother to his niece! Caroline fell in love with her husband almost immediately, but had to hid her feelings! It was no easy task for Caroline especially when she adored little Amanda and now her aunt was here not only demanding full custody of Amanda, but claiming Nick as well!
A well-worth read. Intriguing events and likeable characters with a romantic warm ending.

I have never felt so much anger towards a fictional character before. I thought Nick was a jerk that treated Caroline like crap. Another woman flirty and causing problems in the relationship and Nick stood for it. And Grandpa was just something else! I think I was so angry because I have been in that situation and it was horrible and I think that is why I felt so bad for Caroline.

It was decent read Few hiccups: 1)The H didn't seem to show much appreciation and feelings of love towards the h 2)Even if he was not interested in the OW the attention given was too much 3)The family was to be supposedly rich but didn't feel like it.

ككل روايات عبير مليئة بالرومانسيه مازلت احب قراءة روايات عبير رغم التكرار فيها لكنها لا تمل تنتهي من الروايه بسعاده لا توصف
Ok I thought it was actually pretty good, though there were times I wanted to hit the male lead. Overall I enjoyed this quick read, it was funny and of course romantic.
