Get ready Outlier fans...this is the one you have been waiting for and OMG...it's another epic, massive book about this fantastic future world created in the insane mind of Daryl Banner.
It is a beautiful, poetic, dark, imaginative, creepy, sexy fantasy and just full of so much action, passion and humanity that it will leave you breathless. I love these people and their hard, broken lives but fair warning...get out the tissues and have a good stiff drink because you're really gonna need 'em!
I received an advanced copy for review.

I got to read Legacy early (be jealous), aware that there could be some small changes since Daryl still had some tweaks to make. When he asked for my feedback I had almost nothing to give him other than to say how amazing it was. The flow and balance is near perfection. It’s fast paced, exciting, and the climb is intense. I loved every second of this book, even the parts that had me screaming “nooooooooo”... especially those parts! There is literally never a dull moment, yet I never felt overwhelmed, and I could not put it down (though I was forced to a couple times, doing so was torture).

I wish I could comment on parts of the actual story, and I’ve tried a couple different ways, but even the smallest, seemingly un-spoilery remarks felt like revealing too much. So, I’m just going to say: READ IT!!! If you’ve read Rebellion you will get everything you wanted out of this book, and if you haven’t then you need to go do that RIGHT NOW and then read this one. Don’t let the size intimidate you... it goes by FAST, and when you turn the last page you’re going to be begging for more.

First off, as a disclaimer, I love everything Daryl writes. But this is by far the best series I've ever started. The points of view are not super confusing, and even though there's a ton of characters, I find myself caring about and loving everyone. This is the second book in this heart twisting story, and at the end of both I felt...broken. I don't know what to do now, living my life is just too damn boring. Please let the next book come soon.

So many things i need to say about this book and no idea where to start.

First of all this book is an "interactive" book!
You know whn you watch a movie and you start screaming at the actors???
Well this happens in this book.
I found myself many times screaming "No no no this can't happen" and "don't go there.." or "no no no you really don't want to do this".

Then there is the mount of emotions you go through in this book.
I have to say that for a couple of days i had to put the book down cause if i kept reading something bad would happen to my favorite character but if i didn't read it it wouldn't happen!(silly i know)
Then i had to face the music cause the agony was killing me and read the book to see what happens.

I laughed and cried,i had my heart broken,i had tears and anguish .The anxiety was killing me and i spend sleepless nights thinking of what in the world would happen.

I runned in the slums and visited the Lifted city .
I was a Guardian and i was a slumboy and a Lifted Lady and a King.
I was death and life and i was everything and nothing.

It never stops amazing me how Daryl Banner twists and turns his stories.
It never stops amazing me how Daryl Banner is a freaking magician in writing his stories.
He has a unique talent in wrapping the reader in his stories...taking you out of your house and in his amazing universe.

Every time i feel like i am switching bodies with every one og his characters
5 stars are not enough for this book but since its all i have they are well deserved.

Once more i am amazed!
I can't wait for the next book.

OMG, Daryl Banner did it again!
Amazing me with his creativity and imagination. I loved it. Mwah!

Legacy is book #2 in the fantastic Outlier Series. It’s fast paced, emotional, with lots of interesting discoveries, surprising twists and what-the-fuck? turns! We finally find out Anwick’s legacy and Athan’s. I love those 2, they’re adorable and their legacies are very, very promising in the wake of the coming war between slum and sky.

What about the other characters? I love them all, especially Link, Kid, Kendil, Ruena, Halvesand, Rone, Edrick, they’re all gifted with very special skills and abilities. And all characters means all characters, even the bad ones, because they’re so, so good at being bad, like Mercy eh eh…

I really enjoyed reading Legacy. And the epilogue? Ugh, it left me begging for more, more, more. Very soon? I hope so. I can’t wait for Reign Of Madness to be released.

Bravo. Bravissimo for this massive work.

Outlier: Legacy is amazing! I would probably best categorize it as dystopian urban fantasy. I would place the major traditional themes as man vs. man, man vs. himself and man vs. society and the major updated themes as overcoming the monster, quest and tragedy. It deals in many areas including adventure, mystery, death, family, romance, friendship and more. Examples of many common life sayings can be seen such as you reap what you sew and the world isn't fair.

The setting is Atlas, the last city at some point in the future. People no longer sleep after toddler age, and everyone has a Legacy (sort of like a superpower). The range of the legacies goes from almost insignificant to practically godly. Most of the populace live in the slums. High society, including the king, lives in the Lifted City, which is actually located in the sky over the slums.

There are several characters of interest so the story changes between the points of view of each. This gives the reader a true perspective of what's going on all around Atlas. The actions each character takes or doesn't take affect them all. Everyone is connected (it's like Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon). The Lesser family is a major focal point (kind of like the Starks, with hopefully a lower death rate). I could never help but feel that everything centers on them, but they aren't the sole catalyst of the series. Many impressive and disturbing citizens rise and fall during this battle for survival and power. Everyone has their own agenda so it boils down to several basic questions for the reader. What lengths will someone go to protect their family, be with their lover or get revenge? What makes a villain? How far is too far to be justified? What/who is important? What are the Legacies?

I want to discuss so many details, but this is one of those types of books where almost anything is a spoiler. I can't express enough how much I loved Outlier: Legacy. Everyone should read it.

First of all: This is not a stand-alone. You will be completely lost if you don't know what happened in part one.
And that's the crux of it for me: I did read part one, but that was many years ago. I remember the overall story arc, but no details and definitely not enough names. I know I really liked part one, though, and I'm sure I would have liked this one more, if only I had remembered more from part one. As it is, I was quite lost, especially at the beginning. There are so many POVs and characters, it's rather confusing. Which is a real shame, because, as I said, I did really like the first installment of the series.
It's my own fault and I shouldn't let so much time pass before continuing series I enjoy...

Absolutely mesmerizing. Taking place in an amazing and very strange world, the story has many characters, but each and everyone is fully filled out. However, you have to keep careful track because each of them tells his own first person story, each chapter changing the perspective. The story keeps your attention by having many twists and turns and constant unexpected events. The character of Wick is absolutely delightful. The book stands alone, however it won't make any sense if you don't read 'Outlier: Rebellion' first.

Very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Of course, I'm going to start on book three: 'Outlier: Reign of Madness' right now.

I loved this book. It was easy to get right back into the book after reading the first one. This one is even better. I loved getting to know more about each of the characters. And discovering what their legacy is right along with them. This book makes you think and keeps ya on the edge of your seat with its twists and turns. I'm always wondering what is going to happen next.
Its really hard to say the things I love about this book because they all include spoilers. This is a book you defiantly don't want spoiled for you.
It is book 2 in the series and you must read book one first. It leaves you wanting to know what happens next in book 3.
Great job Daryl!!

The story progresses further and has some really cool plot twists. Unfortunately it doesn’t quite flow and is disjointed. Just like the last book, some of the sex is unnecessary and doesn’t really have a place. I’m not sure if I’ll read the next one.

Revelation Madness

This is one of my favorite dystopian style novels. There are many intersecting POV to follow. Secrets are revealed and the madness just keeps going.. I look forward to what comes next.

Great Expectations meets X-Men with some M/M romance and surprisingly good character development. Perhaps others can see where these books are going but there are enough surprises to keep me going. Great fun.

This took me a long time to read, I got half way through and couldn't do anymore. Daryl likes to take you on an emotional roller coaster ride and you'd better not get too attached to characters because he makes them go through the wringer. It was too much for me, at heart I like happy stories of heroes overcoming. I hate to love this book and I finally picked it up again and finished it.

Boy do I love this world and concept. Everyone in the story has a different legacy making a diverse range of characters and an interesting story. I'll be anxious about reading book three because I know what Daryl is like, but I will because I have to know how it all turns out.

This is an action packed story with the poor characters never having much time to rest between one event and the next. Its fast paced and there isn't a dull moment to be had. I'm definitely interested to see what happens to some of the characters. This is in my opinion the best series Daryl has written.... even if I don't always like the events.

Where is the third Outlier book when you need it?

Why is it only available early to Facebook users? I refuse to use Facebook for many reasons, just like I stay away from all of the other social destructive media forums. So I will stand on principles and wait even longer. So Facebook fools, enjoy it while you can.

While building a fictional world that feels all too real, the author gives us very short glimpses of people and events with the focus of each chapter being on one main character. Sometimes, it takes forever to get to the continuation of what is happening, often through different eyes. Much is revealed as the ethnic, social, and political structures are shattered while physical property is damaged and destroyed. New Legacies are displayed and the powerful try for gain as The Minister of Madness makes his derogatory title real. The story is not over yet, and it is going to be big, but not what you are expecting.

Another great installment to the series! This book takes the successful aspects of the first and expands upon them. The universe grows in scope and depth. There was one little detail that irked me, althogh it was nothing serious. Wick and Athan seemed relatively uninterested in whatever was happening to Wick's father. It seemed inconsistent with their characters for Forge to be so glossed over. Anyway, great read!

Great series. Given the rest of Mr. Banner's books on Amazon (and the cover), it might be easy to assume that this is M/M romance shlock. However, this is a fun dystopian read. The characters sometimes are naive, but that is line with their age, as they progress through the story. I like the approach he uses with "legacies". I will leave it at that to avoid spoilers

Wonderful continuation of the story! This book is fast-paced and intriguing with a cast of many fantastic characters. And what I said about Rebellion applies here too: touching love story and wonderfully heart-wrenching story overall. I'm very excited to read the next one!

An Amazing Next Installment!

This book starts off where the last left off. The Rebellion is strengthening, as the discontent of the slumborn grows.

Wick and the rest of Rain are making their move to infiltrate the Lifted City and return Cintha and Athan to the slums.

Ellena mourns the loss of Forge who is wasting away in the Keep, where we get a further peek into the terrible conditions its inhabitants endure.

Link is healing at the Brae, where he learns of the secrets of Braxton's society, as well as discovering himself.

Mercy is on a mission to bring down the Banshee King and avenge her lover Dran.

Ruena is slated to become the next queen of Atlas, looking to bridge the gap between the Lifted City and the Lower City. But at her coronation chaos ensues, and the state of Atlas is forever changed.

Amidst all of the turmoil, Wick finally remembers a part of his past that he was forced to forget, ultimately leading to the discovery of his true legacy.

This book took me on an emotional rollercoaster throughout the entire book. There were feelings of true love, betrayal, loss, confusion, bliss and turmoil.

Some new characters were revealed, and we were allowed a deeper look into some of our favorite old characters. Every character has been written to enable the reader to relate to them, whether you love or hate them!

The storyline is wonderfully written and kept me captivated throughout. I cannot wait to see where this story goes!

Outlier Legacy is the second book in the series. It is very well written by Daryl Banner who knows how to keep his readers at the edge of their seat. He had me hooked in book one and I had to purchase book 2 and 3, and trust me it was no mistake. The web he weaves in this book is even more intricate than I could have imagined. It was a true roller coaster ride and my head is still spinning from it all. There are so many twists hidden within, so many secrets and only when the author is ready for you to know, will you find out what he wants you to know.

There are many different story lines to follow, each from the different characters perspective, which can make it a bit challenging at times, but you will have the hang of it soon. The author leaves you often with little cliff hangers and he knows how to use those well. There are quite a few surprises and many I did not see coming, come to think of it pretty much most of them. This book is definitely on the longer side so don't think you can read this in one sitting, even though you will try. The pace does not drag on nor do you feel rushed, even with those the parallel story lines going on. There are many characters you can't help but cheer for from both parts of the city, the lifted and the lower, and quite a few you can't wait to get what they deserve. There is so much going on that I have a tough time giving it the credit it is due, so what are you waiting for, get the book and start reading!
