Always tricky when I read it's a pit story as grandfather lost in mining accident but this was fine, almost kind of believed it, the closeness of village life came through strong and that feeling of mine closure
I enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick read and I was thoroughly engaged. The names of who people were got confusing at times as some called them by first name others by last name. Also having Merrick and Maddox.
