L'ho scelto con la consapevolezza che sarebbe finito presto a) sullo scaffale dei libri poracci e b) nel dimenticatoio.. Diciamo che gli elementi per essere una pataccata® c'erano tutti, a partire dal protagonista mutaforma in drago (...).
Diciamo pure che la trama è inesistente e il fatto che suddetto protagonista possa trasformarsi in drago compare sì e no in venti righe al massimo (con richiami del tipo "Il mio boss era un essere pericolossissimo e spaventoso" o "Come potrò mai riprendermi dallo shock di aver scoperto questa cosa") e che è tutto piuttosto ridicolo e surreale..
Però non so, è riuscito comunque a piaciucchiarmi abbastanza da beccarsi due stelline e salvarsi dall'ignonimia del tag 'Pataccata rara" (non dall'opzione b), finire nel dimenticatoi.. Ma non si può aver tutto dalla vita!).. PENELOPE, TI SENTI FORTUNATA??
Vabbé, la storia è la solita cretinata dell'instant-ammmore, con picchi di demenza e idiozia rari, ma ho letto molto ma molto ma molto ma molto di peggio. E almeno qui ogni tanto l'autrice mi ha fatto ridere :D

I love dragon shifter stories but this just didn't work for me. For one, I didn't feel any chemistry between the two characters, and for another, even though it's in 3rd person POV, I felt like I knew nothing about Xavier and his thoughts and feelings through this story, which I think is part of the reason I could never get into their relationship. I would have loved to know more about him being a dragon and his thoughts towards Declan.

I finished it,so it gets two stars... I didn't feel the connection between the MCs. Xavier was too much of a mystery and the shifter thing was pointless. It wasn't horrible, but I won't be re-reading it either.

A small aside: I hate it when someone is immortal and their love interest isn't. Xavier is going to have to watch Declan age and eventually die. That isn't an HEA for me.

I'm sorry, but this didn't work for me at all. I hated Xavier and I thought Declan was dumb. What was the point of the dragon shifter? If I had to read the word "siblings" one more time I might have broken my Kindle. ARGH! So yeah, this didn't work for me.

3 stars. This was a nice little guilty pleasure of a story, but the dragon shifter plot just didn't work for me. There wasn't really a need for it. Still, I liked the characters and the romance.
