Something Understood: Reflections on Discipleship and Disability

Rate this book
Something Understood combines theological insights, elements of autobiography and a sprinkling of humour to produce a series of reflections on one person's Christian journey, particularly from the perspective of someone who is now a member of the world of disability. The author hopes that his shared experiences might resonate with others whether they see themselves as able-bodied or disabled. Graham Evans served as a Methodist minister for nearly thirty years, working in a variety of inner-city, council estate and suburban appointments. He took early retirement on health grounds at the age of fifty-two and lives with a progressive form of multiple sclerosis. His home is in Chester where reading, writing and following the fortunes of Manchester United are high on his agenda. Something Understood is his second book following on from the 2010 publication of Disabled Church? (Church in the Market Place Publications).
