I tried so hard to get into it but I just couldn’t and had to abandon it. The story seemed more on the teenage-fantasy for me and that genre has been left behind by me years ago. Hopefully I’ll be able to pick it up later if the TV adaptation catches my interest at least.

Who knows that reading in wattpad can be sooo good?

I already be in insane condition because of this book. Not in negative way, but in positive way!

I attached to this book because of its cover, glass high heels like in Cinderella because this book is like get quote from Cinderella movie in 2015. And when I read the beginning, I know I will love this book.

The beginning is anti-mainstream. Unlike another book. The beginning has short synopsis and caution of something inside like there will be swearing or kissing, etc lol. I love it! And I love the way writer make the title of chapter with piano lesson (music), it's soo UNIQUE!!!

Isla Moore is a girl who loves fairy tale so much, her wish is she wants her life to be one.
Her 16th birthday is the way she fall in love with someone she slow dancing, Kaden Bretton, who is her brother (Parker but not related in blood)'s bestfriend with his look alike her imagination of prince charming.
Until, one day Parker told her that Kaden is temporarily blind because car incident which is make his gf die. Isla voluntaried to be his fake gf and made Kaden not hear-break. But, Isla know she will fall in love over and over again to Kaden even tho Kaden doesn't know her. And, the story of her own fairy tale is begin.
But, not like another fairy tale without such a complicated problems. She must to face the problems and solved it to reach her HAPPY EVER AFTER.

And I cant, I cant get enough of this bookkkk!!
KADEN BRETTONNN MY BOY! UWAHHH

I think it will not enough if I write 1000millions or billions characters. Because, I love this book so much. It does not have flaw. ITS FLAwLESS

My expression when read this book is vary. From smile, crook a smile, screaming until crying. My screaming is like happy screaming, my smile is like lovey dovey smile HOHOHOHO.
I JUST ALWAYS THINKING ABOUT IT EVEN THO I"M IN MY MID TEST LOL

when i read, i always imagine that the girl is me. not different with this. i imagine i'm isla and have brother parker who is love me, handsome, rich with his bestfriend Nolan and Kaden who are handsome as hell, kind, rich as heaven.
ISLA IS SOOO LUCKY HIKS. too much for fiction hiks. if i were isla:(

I hope there's the sequel but writer has announce that there will be none.
So, next i just read Cherry Knots, which is tell a story about Parker and his good friend Harte and Harte's gf. I just know this. Ah, i know Slow Dance first ya before this, if I knoww I will read Cherry Knot first;)

SO MUCH RECOMMENDED TO READ THIS NOVEL with romance and a little bit mystery.
RECOMMEND
RECCOMEND
to me, to you, to everyone!

(I think I will re-read it soon, my Kadennnnn mwwah)

Slow dancing (or more like Playing Evangeline as it was called when I read it the first time) was the first book that completely unhinged me. It threw me off my emotional equilibrium and made me yearn for something that drives you mad as well as touches your heart. Rereading this after so many years reminds me of the feeling of absolute gut-wrenching love. The love you would skip continents to find. The love you would never let go, hold tight until it consumes you. This was the book that made me truly believe how beautiful love can be. It's just like slow dancing, you see?

Everytime something went wrong, my heart was in my mouth. They're both such fucking martyrs, I swear to god. Always trying to save each other. Always blaming themselves for the other's problems. The trajectory of their relationship was like a sine curve. Everything about it was immensely perfect and my heart is in shambles. Kaden was, is, and always will be the man of my dreams. He's everything I wish for and more. He's literally my happily ever after and I know all this sounds cheesy because of the incessant fairy tale comparisons in this book, but it's true. He's perfect. So perfect it breaks my heart sometimes.

Noelle is just,,,an amazing writer. She's always been one of my absolute favourites even when I was driven up the wall when her books got deleted. She has a way of telling stories that leave you wanting more. I feel hollow after finishing this book. Hollow but so happy. I feel like I've come full circle somehow. The first book I fell in love with, couldn't reread it again for YEARS then I finally got the money to buy it on wattpad and finished it. My relationship with this book is very similar to the relationship between Kaden and Isla. This is the first reread of this book and will most definitely not be the last. It's a book you can never get enough of, you know?

UPDATE 15-05-2016

Sadly, I can't put any quote or memorable moment here but I don't really think I'll need that to convince you to read this masterpiece.

How it felt reading this book

There comes a moment in any person's life when they read in Wattpad. Yes, if you haven't got to that moment already, it will surely happen in the future. Don't worry. And, if you happen to be pondering between reading on Wattpad or not, choose yes.

And choose wisely by reading Slow Dancing.

It was magical. This book was pure magic in words. It started as a slow, gentle rain until it became a full storm of mystery, emotions and -of course- love and hate. In fact, I'm somewhere between love and hate towards this book.

Noelle's (hepburnettes) writing is elegant, yet simple. Her characters are well built and the world is as normal as it get's. You'll find many similarities to Cinderella's story, which is what made this book so magical and enchanted. In fact, this book is a fairy-tale and I feel like the fairy god mother, just watching while baby Kaden and Isla feel deeply and madly in love. *sighs*

Aftermath: GO. READ. THIS. BOOK. please

FIRST UPDATE

Damn you Noelle...

I don’t usually write reviews for wattpad book but my favourite book on wattpad is an exception to that rule. I don’t have a start date or a finish date and I’ve read this more than twenty five times (I can literally recite dialogues at this point). This book is something I open when I feel the worst about myself and this never fails to lighten my mood, drown me in the story again and again and again.

I love how the beginning is so sweet and how Kaden found out in mere seconds after Isla pretends to be Kaden’s dead girlfriend. The way he kisses her to find out. I love the sweet moments of how she recites the movies to him and his soft laugh or my favourite time when he tries to use the gym and she stops him and presses ice to his abs. That’s hot. I almost cried when he begged for her to stay in the last meeting and when Kaden says that she couldn’t kiss him like that and say that she doesn’t love him.

The grief that follows is heart wrenching my absolute favourite part starts after this. It’s when Isla sees Kaden in the elevator and she can finally see him - his eyes, his lips and everything - but she can’t say anything. She has to stand there and pretend that she’s standing next to a stranger when in reality, she just wants to kiss the daylights out of him. Moreover, the stranger has no freaking clue about the inner turmoil of the girl standing beside her (who he has been looking). It’s so genius. I adored it. Then, when Kaden slaps that lawsuit and Isla just says “sue me” and the myriad of emotions that go through thin - OH MY GOD. and then the kiss in the balcony. I love everything about this book. I can recite it.

I loved how each character was given their individual persona and flaws. For example, Kaden was the most eligible bachelor in the country and yet on his birthday, he didn’t want to face anyone. When Kaden was sick, he didn’t have anyone to take care of him although he had all the money in the world. This shows so much about Kaden and probably how lonely he became due to the amount of people who truly cared for him and the people he could actually trust. Kaden is my favourite. His taunts, his cold hearted ness that sometimes slips when Isla is too close, his compliments, the way he teases Isla - I adore everything about him. He’s just amazing. Isla too had her flaws and her quirks. She might be hiding it but Isla loved Kaden and she never tried denying it to herself. And due to circumstances, she had to lie a lot but at least didn’t lie to herself. And she surely had a lot of guilt after she lied. That in itself shows that she has goodness in her that Kaden sees and loves.

One of my favourite things is how both of them love each other so fiercely that loves becomes anger. For example, when Isla asks him to eat or she would shred the papers. Or when Kaden must know her address and then when she asks him about him, he says that’s he doesn’t want to loose her again. I love it.

The book is written beautifully. Its written in a way that makes your heart race and stomach churn. It makes you feel every single emotion that the characters are feeling and draws you into its world so swiftly that you forget the rest. Noelle has done an amazing job on it.

I would recommend it to everyone and anyone. I have recited this story to my best friends on phone when they couldn’t read it. This story is lovely. I’m glad I read it.

The moment I found this book, I screamed with tears because I definitely fell inlove but I can't read it immediately because I don't have the time then and when I already have the time, the author deleted/unpublished it. I was so sad, so devastated. But after a few weeks she uploaded it again on Wattpad! I was so happy, I squealed then ran into my room and read it but after a few minutes of reading, I found out that some chapters are deleted. Again, I was left broken but I went on. It's better to have some than none at all.

I wasn't disappointed in this book. It's the kind of book that will keep you interested until the end. I spent the while night reading this book, every letter, I didn't get to sleep at all. I couldn't put it down, it's just so awesome for me.
If you're a sucker for sad love stories with happily ever after, I recommend you to read this.

Still hoping, waiting that the Author post the second book.

I love books that make me cry. This one definitely did. I instantly fell in love with the entire story on Wattpad, and even paid to read more on Radish. I've reread the story around 3 times, crying over the love story over and over. The author definitely lets you get a feel of the true feelings of Isla Moore, and finds a way to get you wanting to read more.

"I just wish you could be a little more selfish and think of yourself for a change. Happiness is something you fight for, even if it means being a little selfish at times."

"At the expense of other people's unhappiness? I don't think so."

"So you'd rather be completely selfless and keep the people around you happy, but hurt the one person that means the most to you time and time again?"

After Kaden got into a car accident with his girlfriend Evangeline, Isla pretends to be her to save the temporarily blind Kaden from knowing that his girlfriend is dead. Only, he doesn't know who Isla is, or that she's been in love with him for years.

I was crushing HARD on the brooding mysterious billionaire Kaden when I was 16, but now I don't think he and Isla would last after the ending. Too many unsolved issues and attachment wounds that keep pushing them apart from each other. Their solution to any problem is to lie or self-isolation. That would get tiring after a while.

I love Nolan however! He's fun, funny, attentive, and I love his friendship with Kaden and Parker. This book subverts cliché tropes really well (rich guy poor girl, damsel in distress) without making it read like a soap opera that makes you cringe. I'm forever grateful for Noelle for making my angst-filled teenage years enjoyable.

I always enjoy reading anything by Rainbow Rowell. Her quirky style makes for a very hilarious read. Slow Dance brings you back and forth between high school and adulthood in such a wonderful way. I couldn’t put this book down. I’m sad to not have more of these characters to follow.
