I read this book when I was in my 40's and really enjoyed it. Although it didn't have the same impact on me during the re-read, I still thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a love story set on the North Dakota prairie during the first World War. I loved all of La Vyrle Spencer's books and was so disappointed when she retired from writing in 1997.
