First of all I am going to quote my friend Dilek here:
👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇

“That's just horrible...
The writing, the characters and the plot line... Just horrible.
Everything about this book is unbearable!

The heroine has an awful family and they treat her like crap and because she is a doormat, she lets them treat her so badly. “

The books are not the same but the outcome was the same.
It’s been a long while since I picked up a book because unfortunately there’s nothing out there worthy reading lately. With every review I read the will to read vanishes a little more. I picked this one up while waiting to board my plane thinking as if it was a novella and by the blurb it seemed to be a light romantic friends to lovers romance.
Misleading burb much??
I felt so much disdain for both MCs.
I feel zero empathy for people with “poor me attitude thinking the world owes them something”. Female mc was just like that with mom/dad issues who used daddy’s money ( conveniently rich girl) to jump from place to place and never staying anywhere since she graduated high school and left her small hometown ( always a small town 🙄🙄🙄) and never went to college. A real gem of a person. Her next stop would be Paris so she could be close to mom dearest. 🙄🙄🙄
Hero was no better living a life dictate by his father. Weak is not a strong enough word to describe this boy.
Anyway, they were college age kids ( yes, Kids) who acted like 14 years old with dad/mom issues. They liked each other but none of them confess their feelings. Heroine because “nobody never stays and afraid of rejection, and hero because his father planned his life ahead for him and he couldn’t trust heroine to stay because she was a coward and never faced her problems (I agree with him here).
Heroine is a “rebel” doing tattoos and a bed hopper. I don’t like double standards but as much as I don’t like manwhores, I also don’t like heroines whoring around. This has nothing to do with having a good sex life. Hero slept with heroine best friend a year before they get together.
Heroine uses booze strength and goes to hero’s college to confess her love for him but she couldn’t do it sober ( she lost 90% of my respect here). She went to his apartment and jumped into his bed naked to wait for him, keeping in mind he had a girlfriend then. Because nothing says “I love you” more than offering your body in a platter. “Unfortunately” hero and girlfriend caught her in his bedroom and she flew the scene.
Their path to get together was an immature unpleasant one.
I have to agree with another GR friend who says some authors need to find a new job. This book is a good example of it.
I feel so cheated when I feel misled by the blurb.
But the joke is on me for not reading reviews and thinking this would be a light romantic read because it’s a novella.
Here I am for another long hiatus again.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Aubree and Kennedy have always been friends. They grew up together and he’s been there for her. In his arms she found solace when her mother abandoned Aubree and her father and when the nightmares kept her awake at night.
But their relationship changed one night when she found the courage to act upon her wishes at the bottom of a glass and he had been unable to say no.

Now, Aubree and Kennedy are stuck together during her visit home and they have to figure out how to behave and make decisions that will probably change the course of their lives.

If you have read any of Lexi’s books you know she has a talent for creating original characters and captivating stories that capture the reader’s attention from the beginning and hold it throughout the entire book.
It is the same with All Or Nothing and, even if it’s just a novella, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

4*

Happy Reading!

If you love a short and sweet friends to lovers story with a small town feel, then you won't want to miss All or Nothing.

Aubree Baxter is back in her hometown of Abbott Springs for the town's annual Winterfest before she leaves for good. After years of disappointment, Bree's mom is finally going to come through for her and they're going to be moving to Paris. But first she must get through the embarrassment of seeing her best friend, Kennedy. A man she has secretly been in love with and who she threw herself at just a few short months ago to only be humiliatingly rejected by.
Kennedy Hale is the town's golden boy, but not by choice. As the Mayor's son he has a lot of expectation placed on his shoulders and sometimes the load is more then he can bare. His best friend, Bree, is the only one that seems to understand him and what he truly wants in life. Not what everyone expects him to want. And he can't risk loosing that friendship, no matter how much he may be attracted to Bree and her free spirit. But when that camaraderie is threatened for good, can Bree and Kennedy set aside their insecurities and risk it all, or will the end up loosing everything in the end?

All or Nothing is a short story that is featured in the ALL I EVER WANTED anthology, a book of four stories centered around a group of friends in the quaint little town of Abbot Springs.

All or Nothing is a story about two best friends, Bree and Kennedy, who fight an attraction for one another to keep their friendship strong. Due to a not-so-stellar set of parents, Bree has abandonment issues and leads a bit of a roving lifestyle because of it. Kennedy is the complete opposite and has always played it safe in life. Bree's free spirited ways and Kennedy's steadfastness balanced each other out well. The progression from friends to lovers wasn't as fleshed out as it could have been due to the short length. But there was no denying the bond these two had from the beginning.

Bottom line; While not as emotionally intriguing as I have come to expect from this author, All or Nothing was a nice, quick story that I enjoyed.

Kennedy Hale's life is planned out and he usually does what he is supposed to do. He is the popular jock, town golden boy and destined to follow in his father's footsteps in town politics and business. His best friend, Aubree Baxter is free-spirited, impulsive and unpredictable, she changes plans often but also a bit lost.

One incident put a strain on their easy going friendship. But now at Winterfest in their hometown of Abbott Springs, they have a chance to reconnect and deal with the fall out.
Both are afraid of rejection and ruining their long time friendship, but at the same time want more. But they walk a fine line between need and fear both in relationships and what they want to do with their future.

I really liked them together. I could tell they had such a bond, but their fear and confusion was chipping away at it causing hurt and miscommunication. But they were struggling not only with what they wanted with each other, but also what their next step was in their own lives. She often put her faith in the wrong people and took chances, while he made safe choices. But despite their issues getting on the same page regarding their romantic relationship, they know each other so well that they each can see the other's flaws and strengths that could change their future path and are really the only ones that can encourage the other to branch out. It is a journey of self discovery for them both in various ways.

This a sweet novella about friendship, love, your true home, and finding your own way. It was originally part of the All I Ever Wanted: An Abbott Springs Anthology anthology and there are three other three companion novellas about their friends Maya, Sami and Everly around the town of Abbott Springs. But this story works fine as a stand alone, while making you more interested in the others..

Kennedy and Aubree have been friends for a long time. Aubree surprised Kennedy by showing up at his house ready to give herself to him. After Kennedy “rejects” Aubree she has tried to stay away. Aubree has had a crush on Kennedy for a long time and his rejection had hurt her. Now Aubree is back and has no choice but to run into Kennedy. Kennedy has his own reasons for rejecting Aubree that day.
Kennedy is the golden boy now expected to be the future mayor of their hometown in Abbott Springs. Aubree has been carefree with life and men. I love stories about friends who take a risk and try to find love with each other. I understand that Aubree’s issues come from abandonment from her mother and father. It was very hard for me to connect with her or initially understand why Kennedy would want to be with her, but she was a good friend to him.
Lexi Ryan did an amazing job explaining the characters’ situations in this short novella. I did not have any issues with the writing. I will continue to read more by Lexi Ryan.
This is just a start of the series where it will tell the story of the three other friends in their group.

Lexi Ryan knows how to develop characters quickly and she does a fantastic job in this novella and is part of the All I Ever Wanted Anthology. The story is set in Abbott Springs during Winterfest with a group of friends that grew up together and even after graduating keep up the same traditions. Aubree moved away from Abbott Springs right after graduation and can't seem to find a permanent home. She is carefree sometimes reckless in her decision making. Kennedy is the polar opposite. He is the town golden boy (future mayor) who only left Abbott Springs for college but is expected to return to take over for his father. He always does the right thing and overthinks all decisions about his future. The two have been best friends there entire lives but something has happened between them that has caused a pretty large rift. Will they make amends? The two clearly care for each other but can they figure out a way to have what they both want?

There was a ton of character development packed in these few pages and I wished it could have been drawn out longer. I guess by now I shouldn't be surprised that I would love even a novella from Lexi Ryan. She is always a one-click for me!

This novella can be read separately or as part of the anthology All I Ever Wanted. It was a sweet novella but I think it would have been better read as a whole with the anthology. The book is based in a small town called Abbott Springs and I think with each story you would get more immersed into this town and the people in it. Since I didn't read the book as part of a whole it felt random and quick which lost some of its pizazz for me.

In this novella we have Kennedy who is the town prince with large familial expectations on him and the town. Kennedy wants different things but is scared to rock the boat so it's easier to give up his dreams and play the safe card.

Aubree is the gypsy of the town with big abandonment issues. Her mom left her for bigger and better things and her dad is never around with both breaking promises. Continuously she starts to make poor decisions and runs away constantly. The one constant in her life is her best friend Kennedy whom she has loved since she was a kid.

Kennedy has always noticed Bree but she's not the safe bet and it's too much of a risk to lose their friendship. However, now that they're forced to be back in their small town, Bree is just about to run again which forces Kennedy to act upon his wants and desires.

"Does she love you too?" I shrugged. "I don't know, Mom. But I'd rather take the risk and fall than never have a chance with her."

The road is not smooth sailing for these two but since it is a novella it was too quick to really get the feel of growth between the two. I'm always a big fan of friends to lovers. That part was sweet but once they found each other it all ended too fast in the conclusion of how they dealt with their families while their HEA left me wanting more from them.

Lexi has a way with her stories that immediately draws you into her books - whether it be because of her captivating writing or the characters that you immediately root for, I I enjoyed this short novella about friends from a small town called Abbott Springs attending their annual Winterfest party. I want to mention that though All or Nothing can be read as a standalone, it was a part of the All I Ever Wanted Anthology. The other stories in the Anthology feature other friends mentioned in All or Nothing and I think it would have enhanced my reading experience if I had read the entire anthology rather than just the one book because at the end of this short story, I did want MORE.

All or Nothing features an unrequited love story focusing on Kennedy Hale and his best friend, Aubree Baxter. Kennedy has his life planned out for him though it's not the life that he wants to live. Always wanting to keep his parents happy, he never truly speaks up for himself to voice his opinions and doesn't live the life that he so desperately wants. Kennedy grew up with Bree, his family being almost a surrogate family for her, as her mom left to pursue her dreams when Bree was a teenager and her father is a non-existent workaholic. Bree has a go with the flow mentality and doesn't always make wise choices when it comes to her life.

The one thing that they could always rely on was their friendship....but what happens when feelings begin to grow and you want more? Can these two characters who have such fears of really stepping outside of their comfort zone be willing to risk it all in the name of love?

Well since it's a short story I will not tell! :)

So what I enjoyed....I love Ms. Ryan's characters; always so well developed and likeable. I also think that she writes some pretty hot scenes *fans self*

My reading schedule is always so jam packed...I wish I had realized this when I agreed to read this book because I think that I would have liked to read the entire anthology as a whole as several characters were introduced that I would have liked to know more about. Additionally I know that this was a short novella but I wanted more...I wanted to feel their connection, see their friendship and when everything fell into place, I would have liked to see what the future would be for these two.

Ms. Ryan does the alternate POV really well and I always enjoy being in her character's heads.

All in all I enjoyed this novella and as Lexi Ryan is a must click author for me, I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

ARC Review: All or Nothing by Lexi Ryan

Publisher: Lexi Ryan
Publication Date: November 3, 2014
Genre: New Adult
Source: eARC via Author

~Synopsis~
**ALL OR NOTHING is a short, sexy, new adult romance and is also available as part of the ALL I EVER WANTED anthology.**

After years of placing the wrong bets, all Aubree Baxter ever wanted was someone to take a chance on her. More specifically, she wants golden boy Kennedy Hale, her good friend and unrequited crush. After a seduction attempt gone terribly wrong, she knows pursuing anything more than friendship with Kennedy means sure heartbreak. If they're going to make this work, it has to be ALL OR NOTHING.

~Review~

I'm a huge fan of Lexi so I was super excited to read her novella, All or Nothing, when presented with the opportunity. All or Nothing is an Abbot Springs Romance that was previously part of the All I Ever Wanted anthology.

Lexi's story is about Kennedy and Aubree. They have been best friends since childhood but Bree has always been in love with Kennedy and when she takes a chance and her feelings aren't returned, she is heartbroken. She decides to still come home for the Winter Festival, with the hope that her mom will make an appearance this year. She comes face to face with Kennedy and they are forced to work out their feelings for each other.

Bree is a wild card; always running to the next town or next adventure. She doesn't hold down a job or a boyfriend easily. I think she gets restless because she has a mother who make absent promises and a father who wasn't around much. On top of that, she's always loved Kennedy so no other man can capture her heart.

Kennedy is the golden boy of Abbott Springs, expected to be the Mayor like his father and take over his father's business. However, he wants to be his own man and pursue his own dreams but can't seem to find the courage to tell his father how he feels. I feel like he is a bit clueless because it seems so obvious that Bree loves him but he can't see it himself.

I liked that Bree and Kennedy are so different that it make them perfect for each other. Bree needs Kennedy to ground her and Kennedy needs Bree to free him. When he finally opens his eyes and discovers his real feelings for her, I think that it really opened Bree up a bit. I feel like she never really felt loved because of the way her parents are so having someone who she loves genuinely love her back really opened her eyes. She could finally stop running because she was back where she always belonged.

All or Nothing is a fast paced, character driven novella providing a solid basis for the start of a new series by Lexi Ryan.

Told in dual, first person narrative from the perspective of Kennedy and Aubree. Childhood friends whose chemistry is undeniable to all around them, yet they’ve held back afraid to destroy the friendship they have in favor of a romantic relationship. that is until Aubree makes the impulsive seduction attempt that not only shakes the foundation of their friendship but also shatters her hopes for the future.

While they appear complete opposites, Kennedy and Aubree balance each other. Whereas Aubree can be seen as impulsive, Kennedy is governed by others, specifically his father, and feels he has to live to these expectations at the expense of his own happiness. I’ve got to be honest and say Kennedy isn’t my fave book boyfriend, at times he is incredibly selfish and a bit of a man-ho. I really didn’t like his previous dalliance with Aubree’s friend. Seriously, Aubree’s heart was pretty much on her sleeve, how everyone failed to notice I have no idea.

On the other hand I really liked Aubree, I felt every bit of her heartache, embarrassment and humiliation with her. Her impulsiveness was merely a veneer to hide her vulnerability behind. Having grown-up in a cold and distant household with her mothers desertion at an impressionable age; Aubree craves comfort and security. Roaming the country looking for a place to call home when really home is the person that has your heart.

For all their barriers I really liked how the relationship between Kennedy and Bree developed through the narrative.

I really looking forward to seeing where Lexi Ryan takes this series next.

'tis the season for holiday novellas and if you're looking for a sweet and sexy one, Lexi Ryan's All or Nothing should be on your list. I originally read and reviewed this story last year as part of the All I Ever Wanted anthology, but I jumped at the chance to reread it and review it on its own this year after it was released as a standalone.

I absolutely adored this story. It was a great friends-to-lovers story – and a second chance story of sorts. Aubree (Bree) had a crush on her friend Kennedy for as long as she can remember. One night, a couple months ago, she offered herself up to him and he devastated her when he rejected her. There was more to all of it than met the eye, and now that they're face-to-face – and living under the same roof while she's in town for the holidays – all she wants to do is hide. All he wants to do is make her understand why he acted as he did. I connected with Bree immediately, but Kennedy took a little more time. (That could be because I just read about another side of him in one of the other stories.) But regardless of my initial feelings, there was no denying he and Bree were perfect together and their feelings were genuine. I was hooked on their story and a little sad when it ended.

Whether you check this story out as a standalone or as part of the All I Ever Wanted anthology, just do yourself a favor and read it. Lexi writes great characters and sexy romance and that combined with the amazing setting that is Abbott Springs at Christmas, will make this a holiday favorite for sure.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Sweet, short, steamy must read!

Kennedy Hale’s life has always been mapped out by his father, he’s a good boy and always does as he’s told even though he wants everything he’s not suppose to. Unlike Aubree, he has always been afraid to take a chance. Can Aubree change his mind and make him see that sometimes going after what you want is worth it.

“I feel like I’ve spent half my life talking myself out of kissing you… I was a teenage boy with a sexy chick sleeping on the other side of his bedroom wall. If you knew how many fantasies your proximity fueled, you’d file a restraining order.”

All Aubree Baxter really wants is for someone to love her unconditionally and accept her for who she really is. More particularly she wants her best friend, Kennedy Hale, to be that person. She’s taken the chance once with him once and things just went really really bad why should she try again?

“Your right about me. I take chances on people who are going to le me down. I set myself up for failure again and again. Because what if I take a chance on someone who can be trusted and even they let me down? At that point, I have to acknowledge that it’s not them. It’s me. I sabotage life by betting on the wrong things. I know that. But you have to understand that being let down by the wrong people is less painful than being let down by the right ones”

This might be a short story, but with Lexi Ryan as the author you will not be disappointed. I loved the way she brought Kennedy and Aubree together. I loved the way you get just the right amount of history to make you understand the characters and why they do the things they do. This was a fabulous short, sweet and steamy read.

I couldn't wait to read this story but I'll admit some how I missed it back in January when it was released as part of an anthology. Boy, am I glad that I read it.

Ms. Ryan writes such intelligent New Adult. They can be a bit angsty but in Ms. Ryan's hands it always makes sense and you don't want to throw your ereader. Her characters always make sense and you want them to be together. It just takes time but in All or Nothing Bree and Kennedy have such a wonderful back story that from page 1 you are cheering them on.

Bree is like any other rich kid...abandonment, trust issues and is flighty. But dig deeper with her and she does have love, a sense of home and she does trust people. Kennedy is the complete opposite of Bree. He has been handed everything in life but its NOT the life that he wants.

The family issues are timely and well thought out. Kennedy's mom is a rock for both Bree and Kennedy. She knew they belonged together and didn't push them. She let them figure it out but it was almost too late.

I also liked the secondary characters that have the other books in the anthology and I will be going and purchasing the whole book because I have to know how they get their HEA. :)

The dialogue between Bree and Kennedy is smart and sexy. Oh yes, the smexy times are good but that's NOT the basis of the book. Getting these two knuckleheads to finally admit that they love each other is and what they are going to do about it.

I highly recommend Ms. Ryan to anyone and of course, All or Nothing doesn't disappoint. Its sweet, sexy and poignant when you finally figure out that the love of your life is right in front of you but letting go of all our insecurities is a scary thing. Ms. Ryan handles just perfectly.

So do you ever feel like just being impulsive and going for what you want will get you what you want? Or will it just complicate things more? This is exactly what happened with Aubree Baxter pursuing her childhood friend Kennedy Hale. So will it be all or nothing?

I say “I want it all or nothing it all…” This book is another one of Lexi Ryan’s fabulous reads. Her books always keep you focused, loving them, getting hot and bothered with the characters and begging for more of them.

Kennedy Hale is the town’s golden boy. He is from money, his dad is the mayor. Everyone expects him to be his dad’s rightful heir, but is that what Kennedy wants? Does what he want matter when he has such a powerful father dictating what he will do with his future?

Aubree Baxter is used to being disappointed in her life, most commonly from her mother. Aubree “takes chances on all the wrong people, because she sets herself up for failure.” All she wants is someone to take a chance on her. She needs a steady and strong anchor to hold her down. Will Kennedy be what she needs or nothing at all?

I absolutely loved this novella, and I look forward to many steamy additions into this series. I am so glad I was not left with a major cliffy that Lexi ties you into. She knows how to get you so absorbed that when the going gets good, BAM, you get hit with “the next book will be out…” I gave this novella 5 stars because I fell in love with the characters, their story, and I just totally love Lexi Ryan. She is one of my favorite authors and I look forward to every new addition she adds.

Kennedy Hale and Aubree Baxter have been best friends since childhood. But their personalities are complete opposites. Bree is impulsive and a bit of a free spirit. Moving from city to city, she hasn’t settled since leaving Abbott Springs and moves where the next adventure leads her. Kennedy stayed nearby, attending a small, private business college rather than attending a larger school with a better recognized football team, where his passion lies. He is a planner, needing to think out even small decisions before he can act on them.

Their families couldn’t have been more different either. While her father was never there and her mother continually choosing other people over her daughter, Kennedy’s father had his whole life plotted out.

This was a fast, sweet story. I love friends to lovers stories, and this one had a perfect amount of miscommunications and missed opportunities while still keeping the best friend feelings. Each has to jump out of their comfort zones in order to persue anything beyond friendship, but they also aren’t quite sure how to do it in such a way as to not lose the friendship if the other isn’t interested in more.

As one of an anthology of short stories, the other characters are introduced and referenced without being fleshed out completely. The small town setting fits well with this type of collection, and I am curious to see the other stories in the anthology, particularly All I Need by Casey Quinn.

When I see a Lexi Ryan book, I no longer read the description, I just 1 click it. She is without a doubt one of my favorite authors. And if you're in the mood for a quick, steamy read All or Nothing is your book. Aubree and Kennedy have been friends forever. But their friendship hits rocky territory when she decides she wants to take it to the next level. This book has a lot of loving and learning. Aubree and Kennedy could not be more different. She lives life with reckless optimism, while he lives the life his father wants in perfect order.

Yet, when they reunite their attraction will explode and along with it will come the need to be something more. Aubree and Kennedy show each other the allure of living life they way the other does. She tempts him to take control of his own life. And Kennedy will show Aubree what it means to put roots down, on a sure bet. In the end, all they want is a hopeful future and each other. The problems arise when the balk against the changes coming their way. They both show their stubbornness at the most inopportune time and it takes unlikely allies and courage to pull through.

This book is everything I love about novellas. The ability to pack in the punch of a full-length story, and get me thoroughly engaged in the characters' lives takes talent. Lexi Ryan has this innate ability to suck you and make you care more about her characters than you thought possible. Aubree and Kennedy will steal your heart. You'll empathize with them and they'll also want to make you wring their necks. Overall, All or Nothing is a sweet and steamy read that did the trick for me this weekend.

ALL OR NOTHING by Lexi Ryan

ARC provided for honest review.

I think it is safe to say, I am a forever fan of Lexi’s. I LOVE her books. The way she writes, the way she breathes life into her words, the way she can evoke emotion, it is all astonishing!!

It is no different with her latest piece, ALL OR NOTHING.

I’ve never wanted to live in “middle America,” okay, I live in the Midwest, however; if ever given the chance to move again, I’d jump on it. But the way Lexi describes Abbott Springs makes me want to road trip to the middle of nowhere and set down roots…as long as it had a Target within fifteen minutes.

This quaint little town has just about everything a girl from the country moved to the city needs. The only thing missing…the losers she left behind. Bree has bounced from city to city following one douche after another. She’s jobless and miserable and the last thing she wants is to go home for Winterfest. An occasion she told her best friend Kennedy, she planned to miss. The memories of what she lost in her little town a bit too painful to go back and relive. And the embarrassment of what she did in October played a part as well. Accept, her other best friend Everly’s band is playing and she’d never miss that performance.

During the Dirty Dancing contest, Bree and Kennedy move and touch one another that is probably illegal in some places. Kennedy brings up October, but Bree doesn’t want to discuss what happened. I wonder why??

Feelings mount and things happen.

I laughed, teared up, banged my fist on the arm of the chair in frustration, and loved every bit of it! The emotion is worth it!

5 coco filled stars!!

Once again, Lexi has created a world I would love to be a part of...if only in my dreams :)

After years of living with an absentee Father and a Mother that preferred the bright lights of Hollywood, Aubree comes home to an empty house. She ending up spending her high school years with the Hales and grew closer and closer to Kennedy, but a failed seduction caused her to run away from Abbott Springs and pursue art. Aubree is back in Abbott Springs, just in time for the yearly festival of Winterfest, with an unrequited love for Kennedy and a body full of tats.

Kennedy always had a thing for Aubree, but the timing just never seemed right for the two of them. He has been patiently waiting for her to stop running, but can he finally stand up to his parents and live the life that he wants and not the one they have envisioned for him all this time? If both of them are worried about ruining their friendship instead of going after what they truly want, they may both lose. Sometimes, you have to take a leap of faith and go for it.

If you have read Lexi's other books, you will know immediately that this is the quintessential Lexi that we all love to follow. As always, her characters become part of your life and it's like you are right there with them. Since this is part of an anthology and there are three other authors writing about other characters, I'm not sure if they will be based in Abbott Springs or not. There are so many great characters that I would love to see get their own books, so who knows. We may not have seen the last of them yet.

This was a great read. I want to read more about the people of Abbott Springs. I was hoping it was a new series for Lexi Ryan, but it isn't. It's part of an anthology All I Ever Wanted and three other authors write about the other characters,

Aubree or Bree is struggling through life. She is constantly moving around and living on the fly. She doesn't need plans so just goes where she wants. She has wanted Kennedy for years, but didn't want to lose his friendship. She doesn't want to face him after the rejection, but she has to go home one more time before she moves to Paris. Can she convince him to give them a shot? Or does she run away?

Kennedy has a plan for his life that isn't even his plan. His life is napped out by his father. All he wants to do is play football. Can he get his father on his side? Will he stand up for what he wants? He has always wanted Bree, but he wouldn't tell her because he valued their friendship too much. He didn't want to lose her for good. Can he finally tell her how he feels? Or will he let he walk away?

This was a great story about love and how we all make mistakes. We may think we are doing the right thing at the time when really we are hurting ourselves and the people we love. I absolutely love this book and definitely recommend reading it!! Lexi Ryan is an amazing author and she makes you feel when you read her stories. It's like you are living the story!

All or Nothing by Lexi Ryan is the perfect read for a quick romance fix. While short in length, this story doesn’t skimp on steamy scenes, loveable characters, and drama. Aubree has always crushed on Kennedy, but their relationship has remained in the friend zone their entire lives. Taking a chance on her desire for more, Aubree attempts to seduce Kennedy and fails. Miserably. Their paths cross again, and the twosome must navigate the awkwardness to salvage the closeness they once shared.

Poor Aubree. Unrequited love is heartbreaking, embarrassing, and provides some seriously entertaining situations in All or Nothing. I was mortified for Aubree, but couldn’t help but laugh at her horrible luck. The chemistry between this pair is both electric and familiar. Scenes between this duo were laced with witty banter and thick with sexual tension. It was humorous to watch Aubree and Kennedy fight to get the last word and have the upper hand in arguments.

All or Nothing is the anecdote for anyone who has been weighed down by emotionally heavy reads. While I enjoyed how brief this story was, I greedily want more from these characters. Lexi Ryan never disappoints and always delivers thoroughly enjoyable stories from start to finish.

Yet another great read from Lexi Ryan. All or Nothing is a novella that was previously featured as part of an anthology but if you are looking for a sweet engaging read full of love and some angst then this is one for you.

It is no surprise for me to get get caught up in the characters that Lexi brings to life between the pages that has me routing for them to find their way.

Kennedy's life has been mapped out for him by his father. He knows what is expected of him and he has a plan. That being said he doesn't like to venture outside of his comfort zone. Aubree a/k/a Bree is more of a free spirit. She doesn't have the stable home life to keep her rooted so she moves around a lot following sometimes even just to follow the current man in her life.

Kennedy and Aubree have been best friends for years and have been hiding their feelings for one another almost as long. But one night Bree decides its time to take it to the next level and is harshly rejected. When fate reunites them a few months later only to separate them once again will Bree and Kennedy finally be able to admit their feelings for one another? Will they find a way to take their friendship to a new level without losing it? Will it be "ALL or NOTHING"?

I have read a lot of Lexi Ryan books and have enjoyed every one of them. This was a short and sweet romance that will definitely give you a quick fix :) A story that has a little bit of everything that keeps you captivated until the very end.

Kennedy has always done what his father wanted him to do. His father's plans are to have Kennedy run his company and one day become mayor. So why wouldn't Kennedy want that?? But deep down, Kennedy has his own dreams. Aubree is a free spirit and doesn't like to stay in one place for too long. Well, that's what she wants everyone to believe but how does she really feel?

Aubree and Kennedy have been friends for as long as they can remember. There were many nights that Aubree stayed with Kennedy and his family when her father was away (which was a lot). Kennedy's family became Aubree's family quickly and there was never a time when Kennedy made a move on Aubree and vice versa. Until one fateful night in October...

Can friendship turn into a full blown romance? Will they finally tell one another how they truly feel?

This was a quick read full of romance and yes...even some scenes that will make you squirm just enough ;) Kuddos to Ryan for giving us another great story!
