I enjoyed this book, but it left me asking a LOT of questions.

This is a guitar making book where the builder makes two different guitars and one bass. He goes into the various aspect of tools, cutting and shaping the wood, parts, finishes and electrical issues. He does a good job in explaining the process. However, even after a number of years playing and having a basic woodworking knowledge, the knowledge gained from this book does not make me feel confident enough to attempt to build a guitar through the process he describes. This books would assist someone like me in repairs or maintenance to existing guitars or upgrading parts to one.

A good intro to guitar making, but it is very dated, very British, and often tells you to do things without explaining HOW to do them... which is sort of the point.
