I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I have enjoyed writing it!
My friend, Tony, who blogs at Frugal Fountain Pens, with this book has provided a kind gift to people who are entering the very enjoyable world of fountain pens. This little volume is enlightening, enjoyable, and entertaining. It's like being in a fast-paced seminar with a knowledgable leader who knows his topic and loves introducing the newbie to something he loves. You don't get the feeling Tony is talking down to you. Instead, he is inviting you to share in his joy. Included in the book are some very solid links to websites to help you learn more. If you are ever seeking to introduce a family member or a friend to the wonderful world of fountain pens, this would be a nice gift to give in addition to a good starter pen and a bottle of ink.
Recently I got interested in writing with a fountain pen. Years ago I used a fountain pen some. MostlyI have up because writing in medical charts and order sheets in particular had to be done with a ball point of some sort. As I no longer do that the idea of using a fountain pen appealed to me. Also I listened to a podcast that suggested daily writing can be a form of mindfulness Another plus os’s that a collection of fountain pens takes up a very limited amount of place. If you are just getting into fountain pens you will find this book a useful resource.
I loved Tom's book. It is a honest look at a passion he found again. It is well organized and easy to understand. I only have one criticism. I wish he had more pictures of his collection. I am also getting back to pens. He speaks about certain brands or nibs or inks, but I associate better if I see the items he is talking about.
