Concise down to earth techniques for setting buy and sell rules
Written in a very easy to understand manner, the author gives terrific directions in how to properly manage your stock portfolio. Using readily available technical indicators and proper money management as explained in the book, you should be able to obtain terrific results.
While I have used many of the indicators mentioned in this book...and I continue to use a few of them. I have also found incredible value for trend trading in the Aroon oscillator and the ADX/DM/DI, which give me near pinpoint accuracy with trend reversals.
Overall, this is an outstanding little tome. I highly recommend it.
A quick guide to the basics of setting up an amateur trading system for trend following strategies. Some hints on which metrics to use (exponentially smoothed averages, X-day quotients, how to use them to set up triggering events, what the standard visualizations are with respect to charting etc. Because of the brevity of the program, these will only be useful if you've already attempted (and probably lost) a bit experimenting with your own setup. Not sure how useful this really is, will have to revisit later.
It has some excellent points for beginners, but those points are very hard to understand without charts to illustrate them. This book has very few charts. It would be a much better book if it had the charts to explain all it's points.
One of the best books I read on the subject but unfortunately it lacks sufficient charts to explain various strategies visually. Maybe the authors can provide this in future updates.
Signals give the edge over will guess... and no matter what signal you use they cant predict the future Price action and volume are the ultimate truths
not a book for beginner, had to research abit to understand the terms. still not sure with: Enter on a 20-day breakout in price and exit on a 10-day breakout in the opposite direction.

This won't teach you how to trade but you will start your journey in technical analysis. I will suggest you read How to Day Trade for a Living by Andrew Aziz if you are looking for a start in stock trading.
