BOUND TO ME: 2.5-3 Stars
This was an okay story – I really wanted something with more of a bang to start off this anthology to really get my full attention. Although well-written, I just didn’t find myself connecting to the story or the characters.

HICKEY: 4 Stars
So I adored Hickey. Cricket finds herself face to face with Matthew “Bran” – someone she hasn’t seen for quite some time. He’s a long ways from the little boy she met on the playground, the teen boy that had all the girls’ attention and the man who broke her heart. But now he’s back. And Cricket just isn’t sure if that is a bad thing or a horrible thing.

This second chance romance was all kinds of unexpected. When we jump into the past to see just what when wrong I had zero idea of what I’d get and I loved the start of their story, even if it didn’t end well. It made them finding each other that much sweeter.

I will definitely be checking out more from this author in the future.

SAINT:
I had previously read a Lana Grayson title so I was expecting a bit of a darker MC type read. I didn’t really expect it to start off with such a bang though! Gold loves two things. His baby girl and his club. Well three things if you count Annie.

Annie hasn’t lived the life of the club for some time. But when Gold shows up on her doorstep she finds herself being drawn back in. She thought she had found the one, but all that changed when a woman showed up pregnant with his child. And she knew that Gold would not walk away from giving his kid a family, even if he lost the woman he loved. But things have changed. His kid deserves better than a drugged out whore.

This was a gritty MC read and although I liked Gold and Annie – I wasn’t a HUGE fan of this. It was okay. MC reads for me take longer to get into. The guys are usually not good guys and the story is usually darker, so I often need more than a novella to find myself able to look past some of the elements of the lifestyle. Like I need to fall in love with the guy first, then be shown the dark underbelly of his lifestyle. It is really just a - me – not the book – moment.

CRAVED: 3.5 Stars
So let’s just say that Sabre was certainly all alpha. From seeing Annabelle on the side of the road, to taking her home, to returning and then taking her to bed. He was all out on a MINE.MINE.MINE. quest right out of the gate.

Annabelle has escaped the grasp of her abusive and religious father, only to find herself giving into temptation to the first man who dares to lay a claim to her. Virginal to freak in the sheets is 2.3 seconds flat!

I actually really liked this one. It might have to do with the over top possessiveness, three-way and the virginal heroine, but who the fuck cares right? We like what we like. But Sabre was oddly fare more sensitive than I expected. He was hard and rough edges, but he had his moments.

TORMENTED BY A DANAGEROUS MAN: 3(ish) Stars
Audrey is one third of her family’s investigating firm. Tracking bail jumps and bounties but with their company a bit in the red, she really needs to get this next criminal if she can save the business. She could just ask Corbin, but she’s already leaned on him enough.

It’s not that I did not like the story. It just was a bit of too many things. The relationship of Corbin and Audrey felt like it took a backseat to everything else. Hell, maybe it was in a different car, heading in the opposite direction. I don’t mind a good suspense read and I love a romantic suspense, but this was not really a solid genre – it wasn’t suspenseful enough to be just that and it wasn’t romantic or steamy enough to fall into the latter.

BITTER RIVALS: 3 Stars
Magnolia was looking for a relaxing weekend in the Hamptons at her boss’s house. She got more than she bargained for when she discovers Xavier already making himself home.

For years these two were real estate royalty. Close friends who one night took it to the next level and then the next morning it all shattered. When forced to share the same space both anger and lust boils over.

One weekend reminds them of what they had, but it isn’t quite enough for her to let go of what forced her to walk away.

This is another one of those, if the characters would just talk to each other reads! But that would be boring. I liked the dynamic of these two. I liked that Xavier was the first to make his move and say how he felt, still felt. I liked the story overall, just didn’t love it.

CAPTURING LIBERTY: 2 Stars
Liberty is a waitress with dreams of being a model who gets swept off her feet by the mysterious and wealthy Stephen. A quick relationship starts and Stephen begins to open a few doors for her but she isn’t ready to put all her eggs in one basket, accepting a modeling contract with the sleazy guy who harassed her at her job seems like a smart choice (insert sarcasm). But Liberty soon realizes that the man with the camera doesn’t want to just take her picture, he wants to sell her to the highest bidder.

So a few things. Liberty was so asinine. From the instant love (which usually doesn’t not bother me) but with coupled with stupidity (not just being naïve) it can ruin a story. A love story that includes a captive/sex slave type theme really needs to have a heroine with the right dynamic. Liberty was the type of character that showed zero common sense. The kind that would never survive that kind of situation. It was far too big of a stretch for me.

POINT OF ORGIN: 5 Stars
I might have a slight crush on this author. After devouring her Flight & Glory series, I was excited to read more from her.

Emerson has given everything to the town of Legacy. Including her family. It took years for the town to recover from the loss the fire delivered. But when a request to build a new outpost for a new Hotshot crew the town isn’t easily swayed. After all just six years ago the fire took out the old crew. But Sebastian needs to rebuild this for his father, for the legacy of the others who were lost.

Emmy never knew the reasons why Bash took off all those years ago. She only knows that he took her body for one night and left, taking her heart right along with him. For Bash, the town of Legacy holds far too many painful memories for him to have stuck around. But when the town issues an challenge – he has to stick around long enough to see it through and maybe long enough to get Emmy to forgive him.

I loved this story. I had read a prior romance that had featured the theme of fire jumpers and it’s certainly not a common job in these romance books. I loved Emmy and Bash instantly along with the rest of the gang. I really hope she has plans to expand this story with the supporting characters.

5 passionate stars

This review is for Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros.

Point of Origin – After six years, Sebastian Vargas is home, fighting to restart the elite team of firefighters known as the Legacy Hotshot Crew, but it’s the girl he left behind that could leave him burned.

Point of Origin was a great start to the new Legacy Series by the talented Rebecca Yarros.

From the first page I was hooked, I couldn't put it down.
The storyline is entertaining, emotional and heartfelt with great relatable and likable characters . It will bring out all the feels...

Point of Origin was Emerson and Sebastian/Bash's story.
Both are passionate and fierce characters that you can't help but fall in love with.
I loved watching these two come together and open themselves up for love the second time round. Bash and Emerson had such a deep connection, I could feel it from the first moment they see each other again. And the chemistry between them? SMOKING!!! *fans self*

description

You will definitely want to read this one, I highly recommend it.

Can't wait to read what Rebecca Yarros has planned for the rest of the hotshots in the Legacy series.

This is a fantastic anthology full of amazing authors and new stories that are awesome-several of the authors here are Winter Renshaw, Lana Greyson, and Joanna Blake –there stories about blew me out of the water. There are a total of 8 authors here and every author in this anthology has a rockin’ story so sit back, get your kindle ready and you will be ready to enjoy your downtime to read.

Bound to Me-Joanna Blake:: Francesca and Daniel had a love/hate relationship . She came to his family’s place to have her horse bred and mistook him for someone else which led to a comedy of errors in the beginning. Their sexual chemistry was electric. She was Ms. High and Mighty and issued a “command” for Daniel to service her thinking since he was in the stable of the farm, he would be ok to come to the room where she was staying and be grateful to do this for her. LOL It is so funny since Daniel is a part owner of the business and Francesca doesn’t know this. Oh the fireworks when she finds out . The story goes on with a sudden twist & turns and we get to meet the real her and find out who she is and see them fall in love. Loved the outcome of this story. My rating :4.5 stars
Hickey---CORA BRENT :::Bran and Cricket have a complicated past and this is their story. It’s a second chance love story of love , loss, betrayal, loss and hot sex between the MC. I really enjoyed the interaction between the MC . I wished this was a bit longer but for a novella , it has great flow. My rating: 4.5 stars
Saint: Lana Grayson:: An Anathema MC Novella—Gold’s story –full of heartbreak and struggle. Loved baby Silver. His ex-girlfriend is so nasty..Annie, Gold’s true love is one feisty lady and I totally appreciate her making Gold work for their love and their relationship. My rating: 4.6 stars
Bitter Rivals- Winter Renshaw:::- wow, loved this story so much. This is the story of Two rival Manhattan real estate brokers who were good friends who ended up spending one night together and then miscommunication caused one to immediately separate and not speak for several years until they were forced back together. Awesome story and cant wait to read more in this world again. Love Winter’s writing, it flows so well together. The scenes, especially the lovemaking is so hot and spicy. My rating:4.7 stars
Capturing Liberty--DG WHISKEY:: An aspiring model meets an enigmatic billionaire and falls into a whirlwind romance. Great love story with interesting MC. My rating:4.4 stars
Point of Origin--REBECCA YARROS:::After a number of years, Sebastian Vargas is home, fighting to restart the elite team of firefighters known as the Legacy Hotshot Crew, but it’s the girl he left behind that could leave him burned. –good love story with a huge emotional storyline. Keep the tissues handy. The author paints a great picture in this story which is great when reading to picture. Loved the MC. Ending is good. My rating: 4.5 stars
Tormented By a Dangerous Man--CLEO PEITSCHE::-- A desperate bounty hunter finds herself tricked by a dominant, bad boy billionaire. –Oh I loved this story because of the heat between the MC and the sexual chemistry. From beginning to the end, it was a roller coaster ride. I loved it and for a novella, the flow was great. My rating: 4.4 stars

It’s about to get hot in here!

This entire anthology rocks, but seeing that Rebecca Yarros is one of my all time favorite authors, I read POINT OF ORIGIN first.

And holy hotness it is INCREDIBLE!

If you’ve read anything by Yarros you know she has a talent for creating out of this world heat and pairing it with an amazing amount of emotional depth. And somehow she found a way to perfectly construct a balance between these two and manage it all in half the pages!

The town of Legacy is a character all its own, with an authentic small town feel of everyone-knows-everyone and everything going on. It makes for a strong emotional trigger, because the characters are rooted in the town so much, when it hurts, they do, and so do readers. Legacy has a tragic past it’s still healing from and in the center of it are main characters Emerson and Bash.

Emerson is a remarkably strong and smart woman, who has had her heart ripped out twice. Once when her father was killed in the fire that destroyed the town and took 18 members of the hotshot team with it, and second by the love of her life Sebastian Vargas when they were young. Through it all she has used her skills to help the town heal, and built walls around her heart along the way.

She never guessed they’d come crashing down when Bash returns to Legacy to rebuild the hotshot team.

With one look, their chemistry is on fire! I kid you not these two are electric and I’m still fanning myself days later. Bash is so delicious, the perfect combination of sexy, confident, and heart. He’s as strong willed as Emerson and the two of them together is a recipe for no-holds-bar passion. They’re a match in every way, but the past haunts them, and the future is a big question mark. One thing is certain, wherever they go, there will be plenty of heat.

I devoured this novella in one setting, unable to get enough of these two powerhouse characters, and the town they both love. Within the span of a hundred pages, Yarros managed to break my heart, piece it back together, cause me to catch my breath, and then lose it all over again. I don’t know how Yarros does it, but POINT OF ORIGIN is the start to a captivating, passionate, and emotional world I can’t get enough of.

Review and rating (4 stars) ONLY for Lana Grayson’s novella “Saint”. I haven’t read any other story from this anthology, so the overall rating may change if/when I do!

I’ve become such a fan of Lana Grayson’s Anathema MC series, so it’s no wonder I had to check out this anthology containing a very surprising (at least for me) Anathema MC novella called “Saint”. I remember him a little from book 1 but didn’t think he’d have a chance of telling his own story. Well, surprising or not, I loved it!

I’d recommend not reading this novella out of order, for you may find some confusing bits of info and spoilers in it. If you start with the Anathema MC novels, from book 1, Warlord, you also get to meet all the characters! To my estimation, this novella falls right after Warlord, when the story of Exiled, book 2, was still not completely realized. Why am I saying this? Well, you just have to read and figure it out for yourself. ;)

Now Saint or Gold as he’s called, is the treasurer of Anthema MC. He was a minor secondary character in book 1. Unfortunately, I had forgotten about him until I started this novella. But the whole arc of the plot and storyline of this series came rushing back once I did.

Gold is in a bad relationship with a stripper of Anathema MC’s bar called the Sorceress. He didn’t want to be in this relationship all that much except for no strings sex. However, when the girl came to him and informed she’s pregnant, he couldn’t just drop her. Besides, even though he was hesitant about the whole matter first, little Silver has already lightened Gold’s bleary world with her baby gurgles and smiles. Sadly, that can’t be said about Alexis. She’s more and more getting under the influence of drug and becoming a neglectful mother. It took a drastic turn one day, as we find Saint coming home from days of running “errands” for Anathema, only to find Silver crying on the top of her lungs, hungry, wet... hell, she hasn’t even been cleaned up for who knows how many days! Then he finds Alexis had also cheated on him and that was the last straw for Gold. He finally has had enough, so he up and leaves, leaving a kicking and screaming Alexis behind.

Sounds cruel but trust me it wasn’t. She had it coming! Did you think she’d just let him just walk away? Oh no, she went and tried to stab Gold, injuring him on one arm. So yah, she had it coming. After leaving that trailer, Gold somehow manages to get to Anathema’s prez, Thorne’s house to leave Silver with Rose, his girlfriend. Then Gold knew only one place where he can turn to, even if the person would be irritated at him. Hopefully she won’t ignore him even though she had every right to do just that.

Annie is the daughter of an old, now deceased, Anathema MC member. But she has tried her best to stay away from all that MC business and the danger that inevitably comes with it. She has gone to school, studied and trained as a vet. She loves animals, even has her own little chamber in her home. Annie thought she had her life planned out nicely. Never did she expect to find Gold in front of her house one day, in the middle of the night, dripping blood from his shoulder. Damn!

Annie and Gold had known each-other since they were teenagers. Gold was probably a bit older than her so the relationship, whatever it was, didn’t go far. Annie was totally a goner; she was absolutely in “crush” with him. Gold was attracted to her too, but the time just wasn’t right. Over the years, somehow they keep slipping away from each-other for one reason or the other. Gold even joined the army and was away for a long time. Annie tried to move with new relationships but she couldn’t forget Gold. When the opportunity finally came a year or so ago, Gold and Annie were both single again... or so Gold thought because Alexis returned the same time to inform Gold that their months ago “fun night” has resulted in a pregnancy. Annie could nothing to do but watch Gold walking away.

Right now, Annie doesn’t want him anywhere near her. She was hurt, disappointed. Looking at him only makes her think of what could’ve been, if only.... She, at first, tries to ignore him but when he’s dripping blood all over her porch, how can she turn him away? Annie knew instinctively that he’s in some kinda trouble and letting him in means bringing that trouble to her doorstep. But tell that to her poor heart! So, she not only lets him in, fixes him up but chats up with him inspite of herself. Then she also finds out that Gold has just became single again; this time for good. But why should Annie care? Well, it was apparent that she cared very much.

Despite all her doubts and misgivings, this meeting, alongside her introduction to cute little Silver paves the way for Annie to get to know Gold even better. She already knew he was hotter than ever, but knowing that he’s an amazingly devoted father only served in intensifying her long buried feelings. Then there was the fact that Gold finally acknowledged that he’d always wanted her and if fate hadn’t put so many obstacles, they’d be together long ago. This time, Gold means to be with her for once and for all, if only she’d give him a chance.

However, trouble comes calling, turning all of Annie’s apprehension and nightmares into reality. She knew that the members of The Coup will find them. This enmity has been going on for so long, with so many dead, yet either side doesn’t wanna back off. They’d already tried to hurt Gold, thanks to Alexis who has shacked up with one of them and put that a$$hole on Gold for taking Silver. But the question was, will this jeopardize Annie’s newfound relationship with Gold once again? Most importantly, will they be able to get out of this latest mess alive? Annie doesn’t know but she knows Gold will keep her and Silver safe no matter what.

“Saint” was sweet and hot and lovely; a total package. What I also loved was the fact that I didn’t feel that “something missing” vibe that novellas usually give me. Annie and Gold’s relationship felt complete, though I’d have loved to see more of them together. Well, I hope to see them in future installments!

This novella only whetted my appetite for the newest Anathema MC novel (long time coming if I might add), Knight. Love the world of Anathema MC and can’t wait to find out what happens next! I’m not a huge MC novel fan, so that says something, doesn’t it? 4 stars.

This review is for Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros.

Okay. I don't think Rebecca is capable of writing a male character that I hate. Even the ones that I disliked, I eventually liked. She's like an Alpha male writing, wizard! First the Flight & Glory boys, and now Bash.

Six years ago, a forest fire changed the lives of everyone in Legacy. The town was completely destroyed and loved ones were lost. Fast forward to the present and Emerson has played a vital role in revitalizing Legacy and Sebastian is back to reestablish the one thing that a lot of the townspeople don't want: the Legacy Hotshot Crew.

But here's the thing: Six years ago Sebastian and Emerson were in love. But they were also very young and going through something that no one should ever have to deal with. They consummated that love, but the next morning Sebastian was gone and Emerson was left with a lot of questions and a shattered heart.

And even though Sebastian left town and Emerson never once heard from him, we learn that he never forgot her. He knew exactly what she was doing every step of the way. It was painfully obvious that neither of them had moved on from each other and no matter how much time passed, they never would be.

This story is a fantastic second chance romance! There were some light moments that made me laugh (Ryker is hilarious!) and some serious ones that made me all emotional. And of there were those moments that made me want to take a cold shower! But I think the most important thing about this story is the idea of the power of healing. The town rebuilt after the devastating fire, but it never really dealt with losing the hotshot crew. Sebastian return allowed them to not only do that, but also do what needed to be done to prevent a repeat of history.

I'm so glad that this is going to be a series. Rebecca introduces us to some great characters that I loved and want to know more about (Uhh, hello...KNOX!). Bring on the Legacy Hotshot Crew!

Bound to me by Joanna Blake:
I loved Daniel, he had confidence, he was bossy and his thoughts quite dirty, "I piled my plate high. Francesca was keeping me busy and I was sure I would need my energy later on. I planned to spend the night in her bed. And on the floor. And the shower. Maybe bent over that chair again..."
Hickey by Cora Brent:
I loved seeing that romantic side of Bran, just that I am knock-down drag-out in love with you, baby.” He cups my face in his hands and examines me closely. “No one’s ever come close. No one ever will. I’m asking you, Cricket, will you live with me?”
Saint by Lana Grayson:
When Gold is happy and carefree his woman is playfully busting his balls, but I don't think he'd have it any other way, "her breathing panted the instant I ripped the panties over her ankles. “We’re supposed to eff after dinner,” she said. “It’s dessert or something.”
Craved by Jordan Marie:
Sabre can be a very jealous man, “peaches!” Sabre snarls and stops my crazy thoughts. I go to him immediately and he pulls me back against his body. “You’ll pay for that later, sweetheart,” he whispers into my ear." Sabre is a wild man I loved him.
Tormented by a Dangerous Man by Cleo Pietsche:
I loved Corbin he was just so damn sexy and demanding, “do you understand, baby? We’re together now. What’s mine is yours. I want to hear you say you understand.” Slowly, he removed his hand."
Bitter Rivals by Winter Renshaw:
This was an alright read, it wasn't one of my favorites but I liked it I wish that it had, had a little bit more angst.
Capturing Liberty by DG Whiskey:
Stephen was a sexy beefcake I loved him.
Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros:
This was a good read, I liked it.

Read the full review on Bookaholics Not-So-Anonymous.

Note: This ARC was provided by Sassy Savvy Fabulous PR in exchange for an honest review.

Possess is an anthology of contemporary romance and erotica romance novellas from eight various authors. My favorite thing about reading anthologies is that the stories are short enough that you can finish any number of them but don't necessarily need to finish the entire book because you can always go back and read the rest later on. Of course, being the anal person that I am, I need to finish everything before moving on to a new book because I hate leaving things hanging so I purposely set aside four books that I had slated for Friday so that I could concentrate on this newest anthology with its very alpha males.

While I do admit that what drew me to Possess was one author in particular--Rebecca Yarros--I discovered seven other authors in the process, which is another good thing about anthologies. Most of the stories are different, though a couple of them both have motorcycle clubs as part of the backdrops, but the one thing that ties them all together are the alphas that serve as their heroes. I fell totally in love with one story, adored two exceptional ones, and enjoyed the five others. As always, my individual reviews for each story can be read on my blog. My overall average rating for Possess is 4.25 stars, rounded off to five stars. ♥

This review is only about Bitter Rivals by Winter Renshaw one of the stories in this Anthology. If you read Arrogant Playboy then you know Xavier Fox is Beckham King's best friend if you haven't read it you should cause it's really good. Two years ago Xavier Fox & Magnolia Grantham were best friends & business partners who were dominating Real Estate sales in New York City. They confessed their love for each other on a business trip & finally had sex but something happened the next morning & Magnolia began to hate Xavier & the two haven't talked to one another for two years. Magnolia quit working with Xavier & went to work for another firm & Xavier never knew what happened. The two were bitter rivals for two years until a mistake had them ending up spending the weekend in the same vacation house in the Hamptons.

Point of Origin de Rebecca Yarros

So far I've only read Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros, but OMG IT IS AMAZING (which I wouldn't expect any less from Yarros). Bash is exactly what a book boyfriend should be--confident, sexy, and sinfully amazing alpha. He was a great match for Emerson and their chemistry is off the charts. *fans face* I am SO excited that this is turning into a series, because I can't wait to get Knox's story!

This book had a bit of everything! There were a couple of stories I really loved and had me check out other books by those authors. Especially Point of Origin! I HAD to read the next book right away, so I left this one for a bit to do that. All the stories had different kind of alpha’s, from firefighters, to bikers, to billionaire and criminals. All delicious. Definitely a nice anthology to pass a couple hours! Four stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This collection is aptly named, it is filled with alpha's who are fiercely possessive, loyal, and oh so very sexy. There wasn't a story that I didn't like, I fell in love with all of the stories and cannot wait to read more by these talented authors. This is a collection that will “possess” the reader and them begging for more. Just enough from each story to stimulate, satisfy, and yet keep you hungry.

Bound To Me by Joanna Blake
Daniel and Francesca take each other through the paces, learn when to rein each other in and heat one another up from the bedroom to the barn. Francesca flees home from a broken heart and Daniel is there to pick up the pieces and mend them back together, one scorching ride at a time. She has to learn to trust and give up control to this sexy, brash, stallion and see where their passion will take her.

Hickey by Cora Brent

Cricket and Bran melted both my body and heart into a pile of goo. This was the first story that I have ever read by Cora Brent and she had me hooked from the beginning. She captured the essence of second chance romances and I quickly wanted a Bran of my own. Cricket has a shattered heart and leaves home to pursue her dreams at college and bury the broken pieces of her past behind. That is until a hot piece from her past shows up at her door. This delectable athlete and pensive bookworm burrowed into my heart with their heartfelt emotions and scorching passion.

Saint by Lana Grayson

This suspenseful, explosive, story about loyalty, sacrifice, need and love was my first experience with this author. It is all about the dark world of the Anathema MC and the turbulent lives of Gold, Annie, and Silver. Gold and Annie have had a emotional and physical connection since they were young. The timing was never right whether he was being deployed or she was in college. The last hurdle ended with a beautiful sapphire eyed baby that has completely and truly stolen Gold's heart. When circumstances drop a bleeding Gold at her door to patch up, their passion cannot be denied. Saint kept me fascinated from beginning to end and was filled with betrayal, off the charts chemistry, and the danger of motorcycle chases and flying bullets.

I highly recommend for powerful love, commanding alphas, and the fierce women that they possess and protect. These are stories that captivate, titillate, and dominate the reader and will inspire love for new authors.

5 STARS FOR JORDAN MARIE'S CRAVED

This was a fantastic novella related to the Devil's Blaze trilogy, a series that is fast becoming one of my favorites by Jordan. This is a quick glimpse into Sabre's life and what's happening with him in the background of all that's going on during Captured and Burned.

Sheltered, preacher's daughter, Annie, takes a job in Kentucky as a librarian where she meets Devil's Blaze MC member, Sabre, one day when she's broken down on the side of the road and he helps her. Their attraction is immediate and off the charts. While the pace of this novella is fast, it didn't feel at all rushed to me. Annie has never had a relationship with a man, she's starved for love and affection, and all of those qualities, wrapped up in the package that is Annie, call to Sabre on several levels. Both of them seem to plug huge gaping holes for each other so completely, that I felt the quick pace of their relationship was natural and organic for them.

Craved was a fantastic complement to the Devil's Blaze MC series. It adds another layer of depth, more richness and a deeper development of the club, the club members and the intertwining plot of that series, and yet it still manages to be a great story in it's own right. Everything we've come to love about a Jordan Marie story is there - on-point writing, a great plot that is well developed and, of course, enough sexy steaminess to have your Kindle smoking in your hands. Well done, Jordan!!

This review is for Craved by Jordan Marie. It's the only one I read because it was the main reason I bought the anthology but I will read the others later.

I loved Annie and Sabre. I didn't think it was possible but I think I love these guys better than the Savage Brothers. There were a few things that I wasn't crazy about but had this been a full length book I believe Jordan could have made those things work better for me so I didn't let how quickly Annie, um, found herself take away from the story for me. It was fast paced since it was a novella but it had enough build up that it sucked me right in and then left me wanting more.

I really loved Latch too and I agree, I'm thinking there may be more to their story. I felt bad for him at the same time I was glad Sabre was totally possessive about Annie, if that even makes sense. Because I will admit I saw a teaser alluding to that scene and wasn't sure I would be crazy about it but it totally worked, in more ways than one. lol!

Wow Skull, I love him, I need him I mean I need his story. Actually I liked all the guys and can't wait to read their stories. I already wanted more about Beast after Claiming Crusher but I have to admit I wasn't crazy about what was hinted at in this one. Hopefully that was just a random thought on Annie's part because someone like Beast deserves awesome and that whole thing was just um no for me, sorry.

Needless to say I will try my best not to stalk Jordan while I wait on the rest of this series. But I can't say I won't be dying over here waiting for them....

I always love coming across a good anthology. I think their a great way to discover new authors and read really good short stories.

Bound To Me by Joanna Blake- 3.5 stars

Francesca, an Italian Countess who has been recently jilted comes to the Delancey Farm to breed her mare. There she meets Daniel who she mistakenly took for a stable hand. They share a night of passion and later the truth is revealed. Daniel wants forever with Francesca, she just needs some convincing.

This was an enjoyable short read and my first from Joanna Blake.

Hickey by Cora Brent- 5 stars

I love Cora Brent and is the reason I wanted to read this anthology. Cricket and Bran went to school together but never really connected until school was over. Bran was the football hero of the small town of Hickey and Cricket is the quiet girl working at the diner after her father ran off and spent her college money.

Following a whirlwind romance they get married at 18, but not everything is roses. Following a misunderstanding they separate only to run into each other seven years later at University. I loved this story and the relationship between Cricket and Bran was really special.

POINT OF ORIGIN by Rebecca Yarros:
4.5 stars -- Oooooo!!! I sincerely hope this is the start of a new series by Ms. Yarros, b/c I want to know ALL THE STORIES!! This little novella was a great introduction to the town of Legacy and the Hotshots.

And Bash and Emerson were fantastic! Lots of angst and heartbreak, but also lots of great sexy times and genuine love. I started this one late last night and actually had a hard time putting it down and not reading until the wee hours. And normally a novella just leaves me unfulfilled, but their romance just fit perfectly. I think if the drama had been drawn out more it might have gotten annoying.

I loved how strong Emerson was...the way she stood up for herself and up to the council impressed me. And the way she handled Bash especially. Bash was actually the more screwed up one of the two. But he pulled it out in the end (and wow, that sounded dirty).

And now I just need to wait for more in what I'm hoping is a series. Knox and Harper??? YES PLEASE!!

This review is for Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros.

Even as a novella there was nothing short in this story. We learned of the past and history of this small town and their hot shot crew. It wasn’t hard to keep track of things like some first books but was the perfect start to the new Legacy Series. From the first page I was hooked. I needed/wanted more.

Bash was sex on a stick with a hint of arrogance while Emmy was a smart and confident woman. Together they ignited into a wildfire. They were both fierce that you couldn’t help falling in love with them.

There was love and lust with a mix of sexual tension with a great storyline. In the short amount of pages, I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation for what was to come. I couldn’t put this down. I’m now invested in the town of Legacy.

I can’t wait for more of the town of Legacy and these sexy Hot Shot crew members!

**I only read Point of Origin by Rebecca Yarros**

Sebastian "Bash" Vargas has returned to his small hometown in Colorado after being away for six years. He's back to fight to rebuild the fire department after a fire ten years ago took the lives of eighteen fire fighters. One being his father.

Six years ago Bash left not only his hometown filled with painful memories but he also walked out on his first love, Emerson Kendrick. Emmy is assistant to the mayor and she's been instrumental in restoring the town. She also lost her father in that fire.

Emmy's old wounds reopen when she sees Bash again but she also believes in what he's doing.

Such a unique story. Great writing. It packs a punch in the short time we're given yet nothing felt rushed. I'm happy to read more of the Legacy series in the future but we're left at a satisfying place in this particular story. No cliffhanger. Well done!

I Was Provided A ARC For A Honest Review
(Possible Spoilers)

Posses was such a fun Anthology. A great mix of authors, who bring us some sexy alpha's and their captivating stories. And I have found alot of new authors to follow. Like every anthology I read, I wish each story were longer and that it wouldn't end. Right when I was falling for some of these characters, it ended. These short stories are so fun to read, that I want a full novel of each.

Cowboys, Old Flames, Firefighters, Bikers, Millionaires, we get a bit of everything.

Each story is unique, and fun, and sexy. Their is suspense, and danger, lies and secrets, love, lust, romance, and so much sexy.

If you want a great, sexy and quick read, grab this anthology, you will not be disappointed.

(Point Of Origin by Rebecca Yarros)

I'm sure it's no surprise to anybody who's been following me that I love Rebecca Yarros' books to pieces and this little novella was no exception. If you love second chance romances, then this is the book for you. It follows Emerson and Bash who have crazy ass hot chemistry as they get a second chance at love and healing together. And you get to watch the formation of a new Hot Shot firefighter team. I can't wait for the next books in this series, I can already tell it's going to be amazing.
