Interesting Times #3

Rate this book
It's been six months since Sally Rain shattered Earth's timeline and was banished by Artemis to the Island, a mystical prison, to live out the rest of her days alone. Oliver Jones, once called the most dangerous man in the world, still hasn't forgiven Artemis for her decision. Things are bad enough at the office when Oliver is sent to investigate two killings that seem oddly familiar to Artemis. She suspects that Jack the Ripper, who her team defeated more than a hundred years ago, may have escaped from his own mystical prison and returned to Earth.

But Artemis hasn't told her team everything. Shattering the timeline had consequences none of them could have foreseen, and Jack the Ripper isn't the only threat on the loose. Artemis is being hunted, and she's going to need all the help she can get if she's going to survive.

4.5* rounded down to 4*, because of the slightly rushed ending.

Good. Appearances by characters from his other novels, too! :)

Like the development of the characters in this one. And finding out some of Oliver's back story, and Artemis' too, was good, also.

Edit - Ohhhhhhh! Just noticed, when checking to see other published titles, to see if there was a note about when the next title in the series might come out, that two of the characters in this book are characters from others of his authored books!

Detective Nevada James is from a series with two currently published books, and the dragon is from his young adult/maybe childrens fantasy novel, Riley Flynn and the Runaway Fairy, currently with only one title published, but seems like it's intended to be a series, perhaps...

Entertaining as always with this series. Every book so far has had summaries of what happened in the previous book, which is fine if there was a break between reading the books, but can be really distracting and unnecessary when reading the books back to back.

Book three in the series has even more teasers than the first two

I enjoyed this as much as the previous books, the characters have evolved and there are hints of where it's going to go. Not certain, but I think I'm going to have to buy the next one to make sure 😁

A fun read like the others before it, we have a more serious Oliver in this one, more intune with his new situation and actually showing some backbone of course still under the paw of Jeffrey that someone how manages to guilt trip him into pampering him, but the guy wanted a pet so thats what he guets. We learn more about Artemis and the fate of Sally, we understand more of her mindset, and uncover more mysteries surrounding Oliver excistence. In resume a good book the adventure continues and things seems to take on a more brigth future by the end of it.

Is there a book 4?

I do enjoyed this series! I can't help but feel that the author could continue it even more. If he does I definitely want to read it. I read this book in one day because of the edge-of-the-seat action. I just couldn't put it down. I want to know more about the character's, especially about Oliver.

Another enjoyable book.

I really enjoyed this book. The author did a great job developing the main characters and bringing it to a fun climate. I have enjoyed reading all three book in the series so far.

The story continues.... I like the way we are getting more background information on the characters. There's plenty of life left for more books in this series. Can't wait for the next one!

No Jeffery at the end? He likes Thai, he'll like Chinese.

I enjoyed this book, but at the end, I wanted more which quickly led to frustration and many bad words. I look forward to the next in the series.
