A Brooklyn Love Affair: Vixen & Gino's Story #2

A Brooklyn Love Affair 2: Vixen & Gino's Story

Rate this book
With a table of their enemies prepared before them and Charles sitting at the very head, Vixen and Gino find themselves battling not only for the preservation of their love, but for their lives. With allegiances destroyed, family has become the enemy and if Gino and Vixen hope to escape harm’s way unscathed they have to choose between saving those who continually damn them or to stand behind each other, even if it means dying together. But what happens when these enemies share a common goal? That an unlikely alliance is formed to not only take Vixen down, but also to drag her back to the roots she worked so hard to evade. Or the person who knows Gino’s kryptonite uses it to destroy everything he’s worked so hard to build. And at the center of it all is a greedy Mahogany, whose boss remains the almighty dollar. With their lives hanging in the balance, will Vixen finally be able to combat the one man who has sought to make her life miserable, or will she succumb and return to the habit that once claimed her life? Can Gino battle the brother he must now call his enemy and come out on top, or will the skeletons he’s buried deep resurface with an unfortunate outcome? With enemies as far as Atlanta and some one cab ride away, the second installment of A Brooklyn Love Affair is certain to shock as well as teach the lesson that some wounds run too deep to close.

In A Brooklyn Love Affair, Vixen has suffered through a great deal. Worst of all, she’s done so at the hands of her parents. And when her mother resurfaces, all those childhood memories come back to haunt her. I could have nothing but respect for her. She survived a whole lot and she’s strong, intelligent, and caring. Despite all that happened, she still manages to care for people, and I found that astonishing, and very brave too.

Gino is quite different from her. He’s cold, locks others out, and he’s afraid to let anyone in. But he too has suffered, he too has dark demons hiding in his past. Together they form an unique, unlikely, but intriguing pair. I loved how their relationship slowly developed, and how we got to see more of both of them. Each of them is interesting in their own right, but together…Let’s just say I couldn’t put this book down.

The ending was a surprise for me, and I can’t wait for the sequel. This is an amazing start to a new series, and it’s about more than love – it’s about people, their past and future, and how they’re struggling to come to terms with demons of the past.

Woah!!Wat I whirlwind lol.I wasn't expecting all of that to come about.I swear Vixen is always the target and she doesn't deserve to be.I felt bad for Serena because she was just like Vixen. Finally Trey got some sense and kicked Sarah and his father to the curb.Gino I love he has always been there for Vixen and I'm glad they are happy.Damn that's crazy about Jay and Sam but glad they did wat they did.So glad Charles and Payne got wat was coming to them they deserved everything and Karma is a bitch.Mahogany ugh I swear I hope she was in that house.Im so happy for Vixen to find some family and then to have a family of her own with Gino was so great. That ending was crazy I can't wait for part three

Sad and amazing

This another book that had me in tears as i f I knew Vixen personally. The hate that feel for Mahogany is like she too is a real person. I am sure its someone like her in this world. Even with the crying and cussing the good ones for forgiving what I believe unforgivable acts I truly truly enjoyed it. I hope thus book helped the other Vixens and Serenas in this world.

Vixen and Gino are everything together ❤

Wow. I don't know what I'd do if I had that many negative forces coming at me. Thankfully Gino and Vixen were able to make things work. Love and determination kept them together.

The love affair continues

The story picked up right where part 1 left off. The action and drama continues. Gino and Vixen went through a lot, but somehow they always overcame and they got the happiness that they deserved. But it's not over yet. There's still the question of what Charity is up to. Hmmm.

Good

This was a OK read although drama filled. Poor Vixen couldn't catch a break from the drama even ending with drama she tried to rid herself of.
