Train-obsessed boys and girls ages 3 to 7 will love the Thomas & Friends stories featured in this illustrated hardcover collection—all of which can be read in five minutes or less. It’s perfect for bedtime or anytime!
We added this to our collection for our son who loved cars and trains, however, he never seemed to latch onto this series. The stories are okay, but unless your child loves the series, probably not big hits.

This is without the doubt one of our favorite books from Thomas & Friends series. My son loves whole page illustrations. Sense of adventure and camaraderie is really strong in these stories and most of the time there is some sort of moral lesson at the end. Recommended for all little train lovers!
My two year old loves being read these stories and looking at the pictures. The pictures look to be screenshots from the original show (which he watches). Cute, short stories about all the engines.
I was disappointed to find that these stories are just episodes of the show in written form. Or vice versa -- I saw the episodes first. Now don't get me wrong, I grew up reading episodes of Star Trek in book form without seeing the episodes first so I am capable of enjoying it, but ehh. Ozman is obsessed with the story of Kevin Meets Cranky, wherein Cranky blames all his problems on Kevin and Kevin is such a doormat starved for attention that he doesn't mind and almost gets in trouble for helping.
Anyway, it's a good collection to read to the kiddies though.
