College girl Tabitha Stam has her life all planned out. She’s almost finished with her degree in English and she’s planning her wedding to the man of her dreams. She’s known for years how her life was going to pan out and everything is going according to that plan. But then Tabitha wakes up with a bruised face and a bump on the head. She’s in a cabin in the mountains and she has no idea how she got there. And, she’s not alone. With winter quickly approaching Tabitha has to decide if she trusts the man in the cabin and, if she does, together they must plan their escape and their survival.
Wow! I love this original idea- it's the History Channel show Alone plus one, with a clean romance thrown in the mix. There's a devious subplot broiling under it all, which brings a creepy element of psychological terror. Imagine being kidnapped and waking up in a remote cabin with a classmate from your past, but no real recollection of how you got there and no way to escape. Survival is key, but romance blossoms even under extreme adversity. The Cabin has all the feels!
This story evolved into something completely different than what I anticipated. I was nervously anticipating with each page I turned. The words just flowed smoothly and weaved a wonderful story of unexpected survival and sanity.
Not usually a fan of abduction stories but this one is unique and involves both a man & a woman who have to rely on each other to get out of their situation. Good story.
I liked this book so much that I read the entire thing in 1 afternoon!! I especially liked the ending, I won't give any spoilers lol!! I love the journey that all of the characters took in this story and there were no disappointments!! Loved the characters, especially miles and Tabitha!! Great job Bridget Nash!!! Good length to the book, I sometimes like shorter books.
