L'histoire commence en 1291, en Terre sainte, alors que les Templiers s'apprêtent à livrer leur dernière bataille. Elle se poursuit à Istanbul, au XVIIIe siècle, où l'on retrouve le Scorpion en fâcheuse posture. Elle s'achève en Cappadoce, " pays où l'eau et le vent ont tracé leurs méandres ", sur la piste d'une croix qui suscite bien des convoitises. Et qui offre à celui qui la possède l'accès au fabuleux trésor des Templiers... A condition de ne pas rester prisonnier d'un sanctuaire creusé à flanc de falaise, comme ce pauvre Scorpion !

This was more fun to read than the last volume. The story features the search for a lost ancient chapel that holds a secret that will rock the Vatican. There are puzzles and traps and double-crossing allies.

Tohle je čisté dobrodružství. Indiana Jones a poslední křížová výprava. Bez klobouku a biče, zato ale s kordem. Škorpion se svým parťákem a dvěma zrádnýma ženskýma cestuje blízkým východem, aby nalezl kříž svatého Petra. Za nimi se žene několik vzájemně nespolupracujících skupin pronásledovatelů. Přepadení střídají zrady a tak pořád dokola. Situace se neustále mění, ale čtenář se v ději neztrácí a stále se baví. Mariniho kresba je úchvatná.

Ač si už od první knihy říkám, že další knihu už si nekoupím, tak mám zatím všechny. Na jednu stranu se ten příběh může zdát jednoduchý, ale není problém dát všechny dosavadní knihy na jedno posezení. Některé z nich už po několikáté. Pořád to baví a hrozně dobře se to čte.

Man, Mejai is really starting to be a piece of work: she must be an antihero since she can’t seem to pick which side she’s on. The adventure of finding St. Peter’s cross is well done! Ready for the next issue!

Unlike the first two volumes, The Devil's Mark and The Devil in the Vatican , this third one in Cinebook's publishing of writer Stephen Desberg and artist Enrico Marini's series The Scorpion only offers one of the original albums.

The Scorpion and his friends, as well as some sometime allies and a few enemies, are now in Istanbul, searching for information on where they may be able to find cross from Peter's crucifixion, in order to prove Pope Trebaldi's claim of already having it in his possession false. It is more swashbuckling adventures, with betrayals and strange turns, as the quest goes on.

Still looking forward to seeing where these adventures will eventually take the characters.

Notre héro est à la recherche de la croix de Pierre. L'intrigue commence peu à peu à s’éclaircir. C'est vraiment une série que j'adore!!.
