**The full-length second book in T. S. Joyce’s new Bears Fur Hire series.**

Lena Rhodes is a professional runner. Life is a lot easier when she is throwing everything she has into being a nature photographer for an elite outdoor magazine. And now, she is on her biggest assignment yet: Alaskan brown bears. She’s been training for years for this opportunity, but the growly, sexy outdoor guide charged with taking her to the bears is turning her world on its axis. She had everything figured out. Eat, sleep, take photographs, and never let anyone get too close. Too bad Jenner is making her forget all her rules. But his secrets are deep and dark, and as it turns out, the dangerous Alaskan grizzlies she is here to photograph are the least of her worries.

Jenner Silver is just trying to get from one day to the next without his inner bear shredding him. But when a feisty, beautiful wildlife photographer shows up at his lodge begging a tour to find brown bears, his protective instincts go into overdrive. The harder he tries to stay away from her, the more he wants to know about the woman, but both of their survival depends on him keeping his head out in the Alaskan bush. Torn between maintaining a professional relationship, and the bone-deep desire to claim her for his own, Jenner will have to decide if he’s ready to share his secrets. And only if Lena can stop running.

Content Warning: Explicit love scenes, naughty language, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

This was my chosen Valentines Day read because I was in the mood for a sappy romance and nothing gets sappier than a 'chosen mate' story. I devoured this book along with the 1kg of chocolate my beautiful best friend gave me (also known as frientines day lol)

It was completely unrealistic (I mean come on, it was a bear shifter romance, no matter how that's written it will never be realistic) and a little too short for my liking but it had all the things I needed for my Valentine's Day read.

It was angsty with the lead male a brooding giant, who slowly falls in love with the fiery female professional photographer despite his best efforts.

Honestly nothing groundbreaking but it was set in Alaska and within the first chapter, the description of the beautiful land had me addicted. There is a lot of nature trekking and Alaskan wildlife in this book and I know I'll be rereading this story just for another look at the land.

🔸Uuhh I liked this.🔸

Started so strong, lost a bit of shine in the middle, but picked it right back up near the ending.
Relatable, and funny characters, nice chemistry, a little dose of cheesy love, but it’s Joyce, so I fully expect that. Luckily it’s the good type of cheesy. I don’t feel like puking when they get all sappy😂

It’s a light and sweetly uncomplicated paranormal story. Joyce really nails these.

Cover: 1 star - he looks all nice and all,but it’s not very creative. If I didn’t know how Joyce wrote I would 100% pass this book up.
POV’s: Dual -3rd person (Lena & Jenner)

I have to admit, I found the first book in this series a bit disappointing and depressing. This one though, just wow. I fell in love with the characters. The storyline and plot flowed flawlessly. Very well written. I made the mistake of reading book 3 before 2, and I have to say, as a series this is a solid 5 star read. I'm going to have to re-read book 3 now so I can fully appreciate it. I love how everything played out. Can't wait for book 4 (Links story)!

I don't remember the details of the first book, cause it's been awhile since I read it, but going by my glowing review for that book, I clearly loved it to pieces... Now reading this one, I do know that this 2nd book was a lot less intense. And it had a very simple, easy resolution to the plights of our MCs. VERY much insta love. But this can be easily overlooked and embraced since we are talking about Bear shifters and instinct.

With that being said, I still really liked Jenner and Lena and their HEA.

I think it's time I actually finished this series, however 😄

I really enjoyed this Bear Shifter romance. The characters were well developed, and there was enough action to keep the story going. It was a great 2nd story for the series.

Can't wait to read the third book in the series!

I liked getting to know more of the Silver brothers with this book. Jenner and Lena were interesting and Lena great for hardly blinking at all when she learned about Jenner being a bear.

But the best part of the book for me was towards the end, when Lena went to Ian and Elyse's place to put her plan into motion. I do find I'm very intrigued by the very end, it makes me want to read the next book right away. and so I will.

I definitely want Link to get his happily ever after, but most important I want his craziness to be cured because he's a good guy and deserves it.

Ms. Joyce did again you got me totally hooked on another of your series!

Excellent book 2

I really enjoyed this next story of the 3 Silver brothers and how different their shifters are in the paranormal story telling. All the characters are written so well it makes want to travel to Alaska and hang out with them...except for the whole 'outdoor experience' with ticks, man-eating creatures etc. Ms Joyce has done an amazing job with her Fur stories and will be now an auto-buy author for me. I'm now on to read the last Silver brother!

Great continuation of the bear shifters series. The H is mad about the h from the time they meet. He can't help but fall for her. She's a competent person and she has to fight him to be her mate. He tries to protect her from himself and and she is a wonderful person. Loved this couple.

Loved it

Loved the grit and out doors. The ending was a bit of a cliffhanger but not bad. I love it and can’t wait to start the next book. I will say I love how the brothers seem to be getting closer.

I can't help feeling this book was written by a completely different person. It's not like I hate it, but I didn't find in it the care and attention I saw in the first book. So... I think I'm mostly disappointed.

Jenner, 2nd bear brother to get a story couldn't hold my attention at all, but maybe it's just me. I saw him "flat". There was little to no real information that I didn't know from the previous book that said anything about him and his personality, mainly pointers that did nothing for him and didn't translate into actions or situations. I also didn't like the way he's introduced in the story, how he's decisions or limits are worthless a couple pages after. How there were, by the end of the book, a couple decisions he could've made as a product of his self-growth but because there was no growth they felt unimportant, just... expected because it's a romance and it's fiction.

Lena, the main female character for this book was ok. She has such a cool nickname and a rather interesting profession. Her introduction in the book is sort of funny and at least for me it gave me some expectations about her personality, since a sort of duality was mentioned about the way she lives and how she feels because of her past. But again all is left in assertions that never become actions. She says she's independent but doesn't act independent, she says she is used to and comfortable with silence and solitude but the first moment this is put to the test she shows the complete opposite. And the book pretends to say it's because of Jenner, of her attraction to Jenner, but because there's no base line, no past actions to draw from she simply ends up looking like a needy, whinny, immature woman.

The plot is quite simple, and that's not something I disagree with, on the contrary, I really liked the simpleness of the previous book, but this time the book doesn't take advantage of the plot, instead it feels like it's nothing more than an excuse to get our characters together. I also never felt chemistry between the characters, while their words were about love and passion their actions felt forced, mechanical, meaningless. It was weird to read them fall "in love" in a couple chapters when they hadn't share more than a few words and a sandwich. Their time together seems more about their desire to be together than the reasons why they feel this way or the way they develop those feelings. Even at some point I was wondering why the hell Lena was overstepping or encroaching on Jenner's space without invitation and while he was clearly desiring privacy. I would even dare to say... is this a cultural thing? Don't North Americans respect the privacy of others? Or is it because he was a male not a woman? Funny that such abuse becomes love, the obvious awkwardness becomes attraction.

By the end of the story I was quite disappointed and uninterested in the couple. A couple mentions about the following book perked my interest and I was pleasantly surprised about what happened at the end because I liked the previous couple, but also because saddly, I couldn't care less about Jenner and Lena. Some lines and descriptions in the book felt copied and pasted from Elyse and Ian's book, in sex scenes as well; they felt so cheesy AND repetitive as if taken from book 1, distracting most of the time, cause they were glaring.

Positive points... I liked all 3 side characters, Lennard and the wolf brothers were fun. Titus was interesting as well, gave the book a nice action sequence. The mention of Lincoln, a character from book 1 was interesting as well and I actually found him endearing.

Anyway, I do not recommend buying the book, unless you're the kind of person who can't help but buy an entire series and not just the books you like. But you might need to read it to get some info for the second book. This series is not meant to be read as a stand alone.

This is the second book in the series. They are better read in order. This book focuses on Jenner and his mate. Jenner is a wilderness guide. His is just trying to make it from one day to the other. Lena is a nature photographer. She is going to Alaska to get photos of Alaskan brown bears. Jenner knows right away that Lena could be trouble for him and his bear. Lena is attracted to Jenner right away. She doesn’t understand the immediate attraction right away. Jenner can’t believe that this woman wants pictures of brown bears. He is going to take her but it isn’t going to be easy for him or his bear. He knows she is her mate but plays hot and cold. She deserves more than he can give her. A man who hibernates for six months out of the year. This book sucked me in right away. I loved it. I feel for these characters. They fall in love but only get to spend half the year together. Then there is everything Elyse went through last winter protecting Ian. I can’t say enough about this series or recommend it enough. Fantastic job T.S. Joyce. I can’t wait to read the next book.

Photographer Lena Rhodes is guaranteed a promotion if she does well on this assignment… pictures of grizzlies in their actual Alaskan bush habitat. As excited as Lena is by that she’s more excited and fascinated by shifter enforcer/nature guide, grizzly Jenner Silver.

Jenner knew he was in trouble as soon as his protective instincts went into overdrive when Lena plowed into his room. Before Lena’s trip is done, feelings between these two want to share a ‘happily ever after’. While Lena gets her pictures, they cross the roughest grizzly in the area and Jenner jeopardizes his secret to keep her safe.

The pacing was quicker than the previous outing and if possible, this woman was less concerned about the reality of shifters, the relationship she was in and/or the annual six-month separation than she was about her hair being out of place. There is nothing wrong with the outings per se but this reader would appreciate more character depth.

Bear Fur Hire is book two in the series and is Jenner and Lena’s story. Ian, Jenner and Tobias Silver are triplet grizzly bear shifters and main characters in this series.

Jenner is a broody and sexy tour guide at a lodge called Silver Summit Outfitters in Alaska. Lena is a photographer with an elite outdoor magazine sent to take pictures of grizzlies. Jenner is her guide and those two have sparks flying before they even leave the lodge.

I adored Jenner and swooned over his sweet and protective side he only showed Lena. She is also a great character. Lena’s strong and stubborn and accepted Jenner and Bear immediately. I loved how she was determined to make their relationship work and find a way no matter what.

The ending leaves us anticipating Tobias’ book and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

This is a well written book about a wildlife photographer named Lena who needs a guide. Her goal is to get never before pictures of Alaskan brown bears. The guide she chooses is Jenner who happens to be a bear shifter. At first Jenner doesn't want to be her guide but he changes his mind. His bear insists she is his mate. He fights his attraction to Lena but finally succumbs. Lena gets the pictures she needs for the magazine article and falls for Jenner in the process. Jenner decides to take a chance on Lena and tells her about bear shifters and that he is one who hibernates six months out of the year. Can they have a relationship with all the obstacles in their way?

DNF @~80% I started on this book on accident not the first one so I might have missed something. I am confused by the hibernation concept so they fall into a sleeping beauty like sleep? They mentioned the first books FMC having to protect his sleeping body. If it is suppose to be based on real bear hibernation, bears are able to wake up. They just sleep a lot more to reduce energy expenditure. But they aren’t like in a coma for 6 months.
It’s a small thing but it threw me off.
Other than that I just didn’t really love this couple’s chemistry. I have read a ton of her books and this won’t stop me from reading more. Just wasn’t a favorite.

Jenner Silver and Lena

Wow! Such a amazing read. This series just get better and better. T.S.JOYCE is a fantastic storyteller with the gift of capturing your attention and imagination. Jenner is a bear shifter and the best guide in Alaska. Lena is a wildlife photographer and she needs pictures of the elusive and dangerous brown bear. And according to everybody around, she also needs Jenner Silver. Couldn't possibly explain how entertaining this book was. Packed with action and romance, raw emotions were so palpable you could touch it and romance. Highly recommended

Secon reread of this series... Just a great as the first time...

I really loved rereading this book, the second in the Silver Brothers series. Jenner is a big game guide and hunter, with a monster grizzly inside. Lena is a photographer for a big game sporting magazine. They have both been dealt tragedies over the years, and they are perfect for one another! Great to catch up with the characters from the first book and see how everyone is doing. Looking forward to Tobias' book next!

I had trouble getting started reading these because I have read some of her other books where bear shifters exist elsewhere in the world and do not have to hibernate. I just found the hibernation aspect difficult to accept - too disruptive to a human life or relationship. As always, T.S. Joyce delivers beautifully and her heroines find a way to handle the hibernation issue. There are some great twists as the series progresses. I get so much satisfaction from seeing these hurt tough guys get their acts together and find love with fantastic women.

*WARNING* intended for mature audiences
Book 2 has an exciting ending that leads right into book 3, so you really have to read the next book (at least I do!) I have read many shifter books and none have every had to hibernate like real bears, so that a bit different. I didn't read book 1 (that I remember) and I don't feel like I missed anything essential. I like the story. It makes me think of "if you love something, set it free" well Lena says that's crap! This is definitely a story of Insta love and a HEA, but it's got more than that and is more than worth reading.

Fast and easy read

The story had potential, no complaints about the writing style. Though since it was quite a short read, the delivery definitely could have been better if the story along with Lena and Jenner's development was slowed down and lengthened out. Besides the beginning few chapters everything in this book felt a little too rushed for me, so I wasn't really able to fully appreciate or enjoy the romance or storyline.

So after meetin' Ian of course I wanted to meet Jenner and see what was up with the next Mr. Growly Grizzly. Lena I love because she's just so sweet and even though Jenner is Mr. Mtn Bear Guide Recluse who has no hope or belief that mats would work out...he is still open and wants it...not to mention he's willing to do whatever needs doing to make Lena happy. I love that she gave him no quarter at the end too!

nature photographer gets up close to a grizzly

Great story. A nature photographer has been running or actually looking for where she belonged. Her next assignment leads her to danger and to a path for finding her home. A guide who knows animals because sometimes he is one helps her find the perfect pictures and they both find their hearts home as long as they will give in to what fate has in store. Good read but there is a cliff hanger in the epilogue. Enjoy!

Bear fur hire

This book seemed too short. There just seemed the attention to detail was not nearly as great as in the first book. In my opinion a good author brings the words alive when there writing talent puts you right there as you can see each word live in your mind. As I read on..,

I forgot how much I liked bear shifter stories. This one was a little unique because Jenner, the bear shifter, has to hibernate. That could make life challenging. He is a grumpy old bear until he meets and becomes guide for Lena, a photographer. I will set her traipse around the Alaska outback. It is too dangerous for me.
