This is the complete collection of the Liberated series, containing parts 1-3. Etta Brossetta is nursing an injury when she decides to take Anson Gable into her Bed and Breakfast. When he makes her laugh for the first time in months, she begins to let her guard down around the handsome stranger, despite his many eccentricities. Bonds form beyond a fleeting kiss, but Etta wonders if it will be enough to overcome her past, and shed a little light on his. They face life's challenges, and eventually have to decide if they will spend forever together or apart.
I absolutely loved this book by Tuesday Embers. Two broken people who come from vastly different worlds, find each other and discover that together they can conquer their demons. There is so much love between Anson and Etta. Their relationship develops at a very natural and believable pace. Etta is a combination of completely naive mixed with overly prim and proper. Anson is suffering from a nearly debilitating case of social anxiety. Both of them have huge hearts and so much love to give. The story has wonderful character development for our hero and heroine and, it was a breath of fresh air to see them talk about their problems like adults instead of creating unnecessary drama. A well written, perfectly paced novel. Definitely a keeper.
Rich overworked guy takes his first vacation and ends up snowed in with an innkeeper with troubles of her own. The heroin does not have self-preservation instincts (after all, she invited a completely stranger to stay with her during a snowstorm ). But everything turns out just great. She is the only person in the world to see him as a real person and he is her first kiss. It is too formulaic. I stopped because I was choking on too much cuteness all the while thinking 'this relationship is moving too fast'.
I loved reading this book. In fact, I started it one morning and couldn't put it down until I was finished. The characters were expertly defined and it was wonderful to see how their combined insecurities were given closure. I especially liked seeing the tender interaction between "brother and sister" worked into a successful conclusion. I highly recommend this book.
Anson & Etta may have come from two totally different worlds, but they helped heal each other. Love knows no bounds, and what they had was definitely true love. I absolutely loved the ending. You will not be sorry if you one click this today.
She runs a B&B in a remote mountain town. He's a movie star that running from Hollywood. He has OCD, panic attacks and anxiety but finds Etta calming and a safe harbor.
