His daughter is back home. His relationship with her mother is stronger than ever. The three of them are living under one roof, eager to start the next chapter of their lives together.
But one mistake is about to shatter all of that.
One mistake. A lie told to John Anchor, the dangerous man responsible for helping Joe reunite with Elizabeth. A lie that comes back to haunt Joe.
When John Anchor asked for repayment, he didn’t take no for an answer. And when he discovers now that he has been lied to, he makes sure the consequences are personal for Joe.

I've read all the books in the Joe Tyler series. They've all been exciting, interesting books with a great story line. This one did not disappoint. I had a hard time putting this book down. Just loved it, even though it has some sad parts. I thought introducing a character from another series of the author's such a clever idea. Now I feel I have to start reading the Noah Braddock series as well. Lol! I'd recommend any book by this author! I'm a big fan!
I keep thinking that Jeff Shelby can't get any better and he does. This book is an amazing story with the continuation of Joe. Elizabeth is doing well and now running track but Joes lies are going to catch up with him. For those of you like me who also love Jeff's other books this one is a sort of cross over and includes Noah and Carter as well. This is a must read.
The last book of this amazing series from Jeff Shelby, gets 5 stars, hands down!! Definitely didn't see the outcome coming so I definitely think that this whole series is just super awesome because there were so many twist and turns and that's what I like!
Literally read this book in a few hours while sitting in the back seat of a car on a road trip. Could NOT put it down! It hit every emotion... these books are a great series to delve into.
