Some demons really should just stay dead. It would make Xoe's life a lot easier. She'd still have to deal with werewolves, witches, and a crazy, murderous demon, but all of those things were doable. Her new problems were a little less clear. With her life hanging in the balance, Xoe may finally have to admit that she needs a little help, and it might not come in the form she would have guessed.
Sara C. Roethle is a Fantasy author and part-time unicorn. She enjoys writing character driven stories in various fantasy realms with elements of Celtic and Norse myth, humor, and metaphysical ponderings.
Her series include:
Tree of Ages The Thief's Apprentice The Moonstone Chronicles Xoe Meyers Bitter Ashes
Good book but also knew how it would go about three chapters in. Editing is distracting again. Example she meant to use the word "peace" but used "piece" instead. Some sentences didn't make sense because of editing. For example changing a sentence but didn't take out what she wanted to change. Stuff like that.
This book was fantastic! The character development and plot were both excellent, and the book both started and ended in a satisfying way. I enjoyed this one even more than I enjoyed book five, which - until I read this one - was my favourite of the series.
Gone Ghost is book 6 in the Xoe Meyers series. I love the interaction between Xoe and Chase. I'm glad they have finally given in and decided to give their attraction a chance. I love that she gets to have a form of closure with her father at the end of book and that her tells her what he was working on even though we the reader have no clue what it is, which means there will be another book....YES!!!! I love this series. As far as I'm concerned Ms. Roethle can write 20 or 30 or 40 books in this series and I will buy every book as long as she keeps it interesting and keeps showing character growth. I would love to know how Xoe pulls things from the Dream world she isn't supposed to though i.e. Dorrie and now the spirit guide. This series is a worthy read and is safe enough (meaning no real nudity or sex scenes) for its intended audience (young adult), but exciting enough to draw in even the middle aged.

I loved the story, but it left so many questIons. Maybe I just didn't get it, or they will be answered in upcoming books. I'm excited for Chase finally getting his chance. I feel they are better together than Jason. And I hope it works. The Dalmatian is so confusing, nice addition but I don't understand why he's there or how he got there. Like I said many questions came up at the end, while exciting and a decent ending it just makes me all that much more impatient for another book. If you haven't read the series, please do, it is a great one. it's made me laugh, cry, and really feel for the characters.
