When DeQuan Sanders first met Malaysia Norton in church, he knew he had found his angel. Though they were only in the sixth grade, they both knew that the other completed their souls. When DeQuan would suffer horrific nightmares, he ran to her and she would take him in, comforting him in the best way her young heart knew how. As they grew, so did their love. He was her protector, her confidant and she was his haven – the quiet in a restless storm of pain and sleeplessness. When his passionate talent for music emerged, Malaysia made plans to advance his career, yet the industry is hard and life is cruel… When a mistake costs Dequan her love, he vows to win her back – even if it takes the rest of his life. Malaysia only allowed one man into her bed and that was DeQuan. What started as puppy love, grew into a teenage love affair and bloomed into an un-denying love for one another. Her only regret in life was giving her virginity to him and the fallout that resulted. They should have waited. They mature together in life and in their careers. She thought nothing could separate them or their love. But she was wrong. Their love was still strong, but there was no going back. One broken heart for her was enough to last a lifetime. She had to move on, or die trying. In the music business, unconditional love is hard to hold on to. But little did they know they were Rapped in love from the start.
This was a very refreshing love story. I enjoyed both DeQuan & Mal. From the first time they laid eyes on each other they knew they were going to be together forever. Asia was petty and trifling. If she couldn't have she was going to make sure who he truly wanted couldn't have him. Enjoyed the HEA ending. 👍👍👍👍👍
I love how the author showed they were destined to be together. I also loved that every relationship has its ups and downs it is how one handles them is what is key.
