Hellions Ride #6

Simple Ride

Rate this book
After surviving the heat, the torture, and making it out of the sandbox one mission at a time, I have spent years on the ride, going mile after mile to escape the past. I thought I had left hell behind. Only, it is hard to run from the demons inside you.
It all changed when I found the Hellions brotherhood. My nightmares were chased away with the daylight of my new purpose in the club.
I’m a whore, born from trash; that’s what he always told me. Well, sugar, if you can’t beat it back, you might as well stop fighting and make the best of it. The Hellions take care of me as long as I take care of their boys, and the arrangement works…
…until he finds me.
Nathan “Boomer” Vaughn—Hellions MC’s newest member, former Army Special Forces, and overall badass—is brought to his knees when he finds out the secrets his favorite barfly has been keeping.

Purple Pussy Pamela should have brought her problems to the club first, but she didn’t. Now it’s up to Boomer to keep her and her secrets safe.
What happens when two people with a simple understanding complicate things? Can they find their way back to the simple ride?

I've always been a fan of this series and I was so excited to get Boomer's story. He is one tough badass biker and a former Army Special Forces so of course that made him even hotter. He was one true alpha male and after being with Pamela off and on for awhile, he knew he wanted more from their 'relationship'.

Pamela was running from her past and trying to keep a low profile. Danger was closing in on her but she knew she had to keep her secret safe. I loved seeing Boomer step in to protect her and how once he knew about her past, he wanted to keep her safe.

As danger closed in on her, I loved seeing Boomer's protective side. He finds out her secret and that only pulls him more into her. It wasn't easy and I liked how their story really worked out. My only complaint was that I actually wanted more. This was a quick read and I wouldn't say it was rushed but I was so hooked into their story that I just didn't want it to end so quickly. I'm still a die hard fan of this series and I'm ready for the next book.

I'm gonna be honest here. I really didn't see this story coming. Usually when I imagine a MC Club "barfly", my mind automatically substitutes the word "whore". I'm just sayin. So when I saw this book was about one becoming a real part of Club life, I was all like "WTF?!" But Chelsea Camaron seems to make it a habit, within this series, to surprise me. SURPRISE!! She found a way to make it work. I wasn't thinking "whore" every two seconds, so I think that means the story was a success. So while not altogether believable (I'm a skeptic), the story made for an enjoyable read.

Boomer and Pamela, underneath it all, were two broken pieces that magically fit and created oneness, with the power (I believe) to heal each other. The author made their pain real and what they could potentially have in the future a thing of wonder. Until the next ride!

I have loved all the books in this series, until this one it was just a miss for me. I didn’t feel any connection to Boomer and certainly not Pamela. I honestly didn’t remember who Pamela was until she was called by that awful nickname and then I realized why I wouldn’t remember her, she was a side character I wouldn’t want to remember. I really didn’t want to remember that awful tattoo either, I don’t know it just sounded hideous to me. I know, I know that makes me bad because of the reason she got it but it just sounded like it would look even more horrible. Not to mention if it was about feeling the scars, well you can still feel scars with a tattoo on top of it…so just nope not for me. I think the fact Boomer constantly mentioned that tattoo made it worse for me too, I was trying to forget it but nope he mentioned it repeatedly....I felt bad for Pamela but I didn’t really like her or connect with her at all. Boomer wasn’t much better until the end, but he still wasn’t great to me. He was certainly no Shooter and maybe being hung up on Shooter didn’t help me get someone like Boomer. I didn’t feel much for him and his attitude either. I also didn’t really care for his actions after the little fall out with Pamela. So unfortunately this just wasn’t good for me like the previous books. It honestly had a different feel from the other books in the series for me and I just couldn’t get into it, sorry. So I will just continue on with the next book and skip this one on re-reads.

This is the 6th book int he Hellions Ride series by Chelsea Camaron. This one has a bit more of the MC flavor to it. Violence but also sticking up for the innocent. Brotherhood and doing what is right to protect one of your own.

We have met the two leads in previous stories. What we don't know is that Boomer and Purple Pussy Pamela have had an ongoing s3xual relationship. She is part of the club but is Boomer's current go to girl. Both parties have TONS of baggage and have know business jumping into a relationship without airing some of that out first. Boomer thinks he wants more but Pamela is ready to run.

One of the reasons I enjoy MC books, is the idea of brotherhood. These guys may not play by the same rule book that much of society does, but bottom line...if you are one of us, we have your back always---no questions. It helps those guys on the fringes more than they possibly know.

I have enjoyed these last few books hanging out with the Catawba chapter. It was a nice tie in to have Pami seek refuge at the mother chapter. Loved seeing all the previous couples and catching up on the Originals. Looking forward to more from this author.

As you know by now, I’m participating in a blog tour for The Hellions MC series. Last year I binge read the first four and now I’m sorta binge reading the rest LOL and it has been a phenomenal ride from the beginning #TRUTH

Boomer and Pamela made for a captivating read together and also on their own. They are both characters with a lot of past. Pasts that I really do not think they could get past with each other had it not been for the MC environment. You see, in this world, brotherhood is all that matters. No matter what, once you are one of them, they have your back till death. It is the way of their world and it is the way that Boomer & Purple Pussy Pamela survive their journey together … (that may not make too much sense to you right this minute, but as soon as you read about these two, it will!)

This particular installment has more grit and mc world than the rest of the series so far, imo. Club business plays a big role here which solidifies my belief that if you’re going to read about this club, you really just need to start at the beginning and work yourself forward. It is the only way to truly enjoy each couple’s journey as well as the Club’s itself.

It's no secret that I love Chelsea's Hellions, these men are so damn swoonworthy. When I first read about triple P I was so damn curious how she got that tattoo. Her story wasn't easy, but reading about Boomer and his need to be her man was great.
Their love story wasn't sunshine and roses, but not every story is. I love how this author tackles real life head on and doesn't hold back with the punches.

An excellent story but a bit short. I would have loved more of Boomer and Pami. Two very complicated people looking for a simple life.

Simple Ride is another heartbreaking instalment to the series as we finally get to know newly patched member Boomer and Pamela both hiding a life time of pain and suffering from everyone. Boomer is ex military and is haunted by the past he left behind. The demons, the fact he made it back and his friend didn’t. He found a home with his old buddy Shooter and the Hellions. Whilst the nightmares went away with the promise of a new start with the club have brought some closure.
He can’t forget he made it and his friend didn’t . Until Pamlea changes the game.
Pamlea has been mistreated to the point she thinks she is a whore and trash thanks to her ex-husband. Escaping him was the best thing that she did but still she can’t stop him. The Hellions are the best thing that has happened to her. Giving her work and a place to live even if it means she is a barfly.
Until the past captures up and her secret is revealed and Boomer the man she spends the time most with wants to help. As he feels he needs to be knight so to speak as she one of them as he has claimed her.
Claiming with no obligations but what starts a simple agreement into turns something more deeper and dangerous. Far from simple.
Will they return to the simple way of things or will her secrets change everything?.
Secrets have turned out never to be a good thing when it comes to the Hellions and this book was no exception. Pamela will defintely tug on your heartstrings once you get ot know the true her and her heartbreaking story.
Another heartbreaking instalment but this one didn’t quite touch my heart like Tessie. Maybe it because I don’t have any children and understand what a difficult discussion she was forced to make to protect herself and her kids.
I understand tough decisions and my heart went out to her. She need a gentle soi; who be the man she need and father figure that her boys need desperately. Boomer was perfect he was all that and more . They were made for each other and I loved getting to know these two in this instalement.

4.5 couples

I’ll be honest, when I saw that this book was about Boomer and Pamela I wasn’t sure what to think. I bet you are wondering who in the hell is Pamela. Well let me refresh your memory. Purple Pussy Pamela is who I am talking about. I am the furthest thing from being a prude and it takes a lot to offend me so it wasn’t her nickname that bothered me going in, it was that I wasn’t really wanting a story about her. Yes I was being judgmental and I shouldn’t have because when you read about her past, the reason behind the tattoo that caused her nickname, and how she protects those she loves from someone at the risk of her own life will quickly make you never want to judge someone ever again.

Boomer is suffering from his own demons and pains, but when he is with Pami all that seems to go away. Even though they are in a relationship at the same time they are. He wants more from Pami and when she walks away he doesn’t take it very well. When he learns of her past he goes from pissed off to alpha protective male when he sees what has happened. I am going to note there is abuse in this book but not from Boomer to Pami but I didn’t want anyone to go in blind.

Simple Ride is anything but simple. There are secrets, heartbreak, betrayals, abuse, friendships, love and loyalty. Boomer and Pamela’s story is anything but simple but at the same time something as simple as the ride they take together bounds them closer than anything else could. Each book has dealt with danger, pain, and emotional situations and Simple Ride in my opinion had a little more of all of those things. It also reminds you that sometimes what some make fun of or consider ugly, is beautiful in the eyes of others and covers scars that are unseen.

I love Boomer and PPP...they are the perfect match...both of them suffering from their own form of PTSD and attempting to heal themselves while putting those around them at risk for the fallout.
Pamela is protecting those dearest to her heart while trying to find some form of "normal" peace in her life, but her scars (both internal and external) are sometimes too painful to live with...while Boomer lives with guilt and the shame of not being able to protect his "brother-in-arms" as he lives his life flying by the seat of his pants. When these two broken down souls come together in their misery, it is both gut wrenching and wonderful to watch and my heart was breaking for both of them as I read this book.
I love these Hellions so much and just marvel at Camaron's ability to write such serious and universal issues in her books that so many readers can relate to...while also giving us an exciting and sexy biker romance with a ton of awesome characters.
A must read addition to the Hellions series as this author never disappoints and her stories stick with you for a long time!

Purple Pussy Pamela, what a name, is by far the strongest woman character Chelsea Camaron has written in this series. She overcomes so much and still protects what is her without the help of a man, especially a Hellion. When help is offered she pushes it away determined to stand on her own two feet and keep those she loves safe. Pamela’s story is by far the most horrendous of the women stories. The scars she has, both internally and externally, are the worst imaginable. Yet, I love how she just goes on with life doing what has to be done.

Boomer broke my heart. His half living life was shameful for an ex-military man. It was sad that no one was able and willing to step in and heal him until he met Pamela. The way she changes him and makes him whole, without even knowing was wonderful and everything he deserved. I was cheering for them to make it together and heal each other.

Once again, Chelsea Camaron hit a home run. Simple Ride is my favorite so far. There are so many more characters that need their stories told that I hope this is a series that will go on for quite a few more books.

I was pulled right into this story. This story contains heartbreak, pain, secrets, abuse, and sweet healing love.

If you have not already read the below I recommend reading them first:
One Ride (The Hellions Ride, #1)
Forever Ride (The Hellions Ride, #2)
Merciless Ride (The Hellions Ride #3)
Eternal Ride (The Hellions Ride #4)
Innocent Ride (The Hellions Ride #5)

This is Pamela and Nathan “Boomer” Vaughn’s story. Pamela is one of the club whores. She has been at the club a while and has been with Boomer most of the time. While Pamela and Boomer have been together they were no with other people. When he wants more she pulls away. She has secrets she does not want to reveal and that could cost her everything. When the secrets do come out will Boomer push her away and move on or will stick by her side and help her deal not only with her problem but all her secrets? Will she finally have the life she had to run from? Or will she lose everything?

I highly recommend this story and this series. Can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Shooter has a past that is full of tragedy and loss, and it has made him the tough as nails yet softhearted man he is today.

Pamela is a barfly with a walk in closet full of secrets, and it’s the most heart-breaking thing to see, because she’s so much more than what she portrays.

Boomer and Pam have been “bed buddies” for the past year, but Boomer wants more and flat out tells her that, which basically sends her running for the hills.

She finally sees light at the end of the tunnel, and it’s Boomer who gives her that hope. There love is unconventional in so many ways, but it’s one of the most beautiful.

Simple Ride Forever!

Nathan "Boomer" Vaughn is trying to find his place in this world and the Hellions MC can give him that. Pamela is a barfly and will go home with one of the Hellion brothers. But for the last year Boomer and Pami have been getting closer. But keeping their past from each other is getting harder. When her past finally catches up to her, she knows it's time to run again. And that is how she is keeping her boys safe. When Boomer and Shooter save her she has to tell them the truth and thinks that it will run Boomer off. Will Boomer will give her the time she needs with her boys or will he give up on them altogether? Can Pami get past what happened and live for the future with Boomer? This series just gets better and better.

I gave this book 4.5 PPP Stars!

Ever wonder why Pamela had a butterfly on her p¿ssy? Then you need to read Simple Ride. When Pamela was introduce to us in Mercilessly Ride, we learned that she did indeed have a butterfly in certain place. I always knew there was a story there but never did I relize that this happen to her. I really love how Boomer takes claim to her and never really turns his back on her. I also can't believe someone else that's been in most of the books betrayed the Club and Pamela.

I have read all the Hellion Books and I can honestly say that you need to get a glass of wine, comfy chair and hold to this ride that these bad ass bikers give us.

This is the sixth book in the Hellions Ride series, and in my opinion, each book just gets better and better. This is Boomer and Pamela’s story. Boomer is trying to find his place in the world, and has found it with the Hellions. Pami is a barfly, who will go home with any of the Hellions. Over the past year these two have been getting closer and closer. Once Pami’s past catches up with her, she knows she has to run in order to protect the club. Will Boomer stick around when secrets are exposed? You really need to read this for yourself.
If you have not read this series already, do yourself a favour and don’t miss out, this is one hell of a rollercoaster ride! I recommend all of this authors work for all MC lovers, and cannot wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

As a mother, this book makes you so sad that Pamela did what she had to to keep her kids safe. My heart broke for her because of that choice. She is such a strong woman and I felt my self drawn to her.

The plot was a hard one to read, because there is the factor of an abusing husband. That being said, the author did an amazing job and telling Pamela's story.

I loved boomer. His dedication to her was amazing. He kept it, like the title states, simple. He kept it real, and gave her the life she deserved.

Overall, this was a good, shorter story, giving us the ending to two characters that we cant help but root for. So glad they got their HEA! 5stsrs #2OCCJD

Pamela's story was really hard, emotionally, to get through. My heart was breaking throughout this book. And Boomer, knowing what he went through in the military and his feelings of lack of self worth, broke my heart, too. Basically this whole book was a big cry fest, with topics that are a bit touchy for some people. However, like I always say, it's life, and every story needs to be told. Especially the bad ones. People who can relate to this will find a voice through the story. :(

Another great addition to The Hellions Ride series! This one was quick, but full of "feels"!
Simple Ride was well written, of course. This author never fails in this category! I loved the characters and the way so many interesting ones are developed so that nobody is too much alike. Pamela is definitely interesting!
I will definitely continue this series and recommend it to anyone that likes Biker/MC Romance!

Disappointed

I love the Hellions series, but this one not so much so 3 stars only. I needed more than this girls story. I get the author wanted a barfly story but that's not a Hellion story sorry. And the excerpt from the next one doesn't have me thrilled. But I do Love all the Ravage books.

I must say this one kinda missed the mark for me. I really have never been a fan of PPP, and getting to know her in a different way, getting to know more of her background, well, it just kinda fell short for me. I also didn't get as much of the Hellions as I would have liked. Yes, I do like Boomer, but I needed more. Looking forward to Vida and Ruby!

Simple Ride was a great 5 star read.

This is Boomer and Pamela’s story.

Boomer is a new brother to the Hellion’s MC and is looking to fit in and work on getting past his demons from the military.
Pamela is a club whore that is trying to move forward from physical and emotional abuse from her ex-husband. My heart went out to her.

They develop a friendship and when Pamela’s past comes back to haunt her she want’s to run again. When Boomer and Shooter save her, she finally breaks down and tells Boomer the truth.
What will Boomer do when he hears the truth?

I have to say I was emotionally exhausted and my heart went out to Pamela. Boomer was so great with her. I had a few ugly cry moments. The secondary characters were great. The books in this series are getting better and better. I highly suggest you 1-click and get started on this whole series today. Thank you Chelsea Camaron once again for another great read.

This book was a short, quick, hot and to the point novella. In this book we get to follow Nathan "Boomer" Vaughn and Purple Pu$$y Pamela.

I liked both of the character's in this book and thought that they worked well together for this book. I thought that even though they both had demons sitting on their shoulder's that they were made for each other.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like Pamela or not. Especially with the likes of her nickname and what she does for the club. But early on in this novella you learn that there is so much more to Pamela than the eye can see. That she has had to make choices in her life in order to get away from a situation and protect people in her life. That you can't help but feel for her. I did end up really liking her.

I really liked Nathan "Boomer" Vaughn. He's got his own demons of guilt sitting on his shoulders that he hasn't dealt with fully. But he's sweet, caring, and loyal. And he definitely fell hard and fast for Pamela.

I really enjoyed this novella and it brought all of the regular heat and action a full length Hellions book would bring.

I'm giving this book another 4 Stars out of 5!!!!

This is the sixth book in the Hellions Ride series. These are stand alones. We have briefly met both Boomer and Pamela in the previous book though.

Boomer was special forces with Shooter. He does have a lot of guilt because of their last mission…a failed mission.

Pamela is a barfly, but she is also the only one Boomer has been with in the past year. She’s also known as “Purple Pussy Pamela”. Why she’s called that, I won’t go into detail, but it’s tragic.

Pami has some major secrets. They all come out. Luckily the Hellions, especially Boomer, find out.

“You’re mine, Pami. You’ve been mine since the moment I breathed you in and you made my heart beat again. I’ve done bad things for stupid reasons. I’ve done good things for the wrong reasons. I’ve been to edge of never and wondered why I was still breathing.”
“You, I’m still breathing for you. My heart is still beating for you. As broken as I am, I am who I am for you. Call it fate, call it destiny, call it whatever the fuck you want, but I was made for you. I was made for this moment. Nothing in my life will ever compare to being able to bring you back from the brink. Pami, please, I’m begging.”

We did get more Axel, I love that kid. Just like I have loved every character in this series!
