Zombie Rush 2: Banished From Hell

Rate this book
Yesterday… the world changed. Most remember it as a Tuesday; others as a Thursday, but it didn’t matter. Days became as inconsequential as a fly in the swarm. The only thing that truly mattered was that you got to see one more and a friend or family member could see it with you. Whether that was lucky or not depended upon the level of blood the day delivered. The long awaited weekend and the looming dread of Monday morning disappeared into a distant memory, much like the lives of so many people who now marched to feed upon the living. One more day of life; one more day to try to set things right, one more day of grizzled gore and one more day to –try- for the three who cared. This was what each day now brought as the basis of survival and it was more than some could handle.
Three cops doing their best, find themselves surrounded by undead and insurmountable challenges as they try to ensure the survival of humanity. Fast zombies, slow zombies and a sociopath determined to thwart their goals. Zombies hell bent on feeding upon the flesh of the living as the evil mind lusts for terror.
Thousands flock to their banner to fight, to survive to stand beside those who think, feel and breathe. Love comes easy when all else is lost, trust is a given when there is no one else as courage and cowardice walk hand in hand.

This fast paced, pulse pounding read had me trying to escape my skin and on many occasions my stomach soured as it is very descriptive. I loved this zombie read.

Full of action, gore and depravity with a well written plot and strong characters. You'll find yourself unable to put this book down as you'll want to know what happens page after page.

Lose yourself in this bloody, teeth sinking read. You won't be disappointed.

Rush is an apt title!

I burned through this one in less than a day. Picks up right after the initial one and keeps the foot on the gas. Great work by the author!

I only made it 8% and had to stop. The immediate "tone" of the book with all the immature squabbles between all of the characters was so annoying that I didn't bother to read on.

Bloody good time

This is a wonderful added continuation of the book Splinter,if you haven't read that book you should go and read it first you don't have to but you would definitely know a lot about what's going on and how it all started, as for this book it was Non-Stop zombie carnage from the beginning to the end it really never lets up, there's also some wonderful characters in the book, especially the main one Lisa she's one tough bi#$h that puts a whole new face on zombie-killing,the only thing that kind of bothered me while reading was Miss spellings and bad punctuation kind of messes up the flow of the book other than that it would have been a five-star,all in all it's still a great zombie apocalypse book for anybody that loves this genre, you won't be disappointed

Amazing

Wow, I am so impressed with this book! So we'll written! I was amazed at the strength and will of the survivors. This story is packed with action from start to finish. Instead of running and hiding a call to arms is made and a stand is taken. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

Picked this up because it was a recommendation from one of favorite Indie authors and the price was right. Nothing to loose. Was I glad I did. The action is almost immediate. From the beginning, it's easy to see the police officers are fighting a loosing situation. Officers are called in early, the night shift has not checked in or returned and it appears whatever has taken hold of the country has finally trickled to Hot Springs, Arkansas where Lt. Lisa Reynolds has arrived taking a much coveted position. She is instantly disliked because she is an outsider, a woman and what they believe is one of the major reasons she was hired, calling her Mexican, Spik and other obvious names. Lisa has heard them all although she does not fit the later, she doesn't attempt to make friends either. She is a loner, has traveled the country and has never really settled any place long enough to call home. Once she and her group are thrust into a situation they can not win, they join in an uneasy alliance against the hordes they encounter. Cut off from any help, they soon realize they are on their own and the best they can do is make a run to the station not only for safety if possible but for what might be left of the weapons. Fighting their way block by block she soon acquires a group unlikely survivors: a possible drug dealer, a land lord far more upset at the loss of rental revenue and a very large dog called Sgt Tonka. Eventually, Lisa and small group make it to a radio station that is still broadcasting. She is immediately put on the air and Lisa, it seems decides to tell it like it is. There is very real danger, no one is coming to help, certainly not the government or the police so it's up to people to take a stance. Her words are brutal, she makes no promises but she is determined to find a safe haven and lets them know that she and her group are making their way down to what she believes would be a safe place anyone is welcome to join as long as they realize everyone is going to be put to work, no slackers wanted or needed. It soon becomes obvious she will be a figure head, a rallying point for hope and although she doesn't like it, she has no choice. Lisa is anything but politically correct, has never really played the game in her short career and in this new world she doesn't have the time or patience for it. Justice is swift and rarely does she hesitate. It's a new brutal world and nothing is made more clear than the serial killer is enjoying the Zom-Poc making it easier for him to take victims. Lisa Reynolds is a strong female character and the author does her justice although at times she seems a bit too strong, almost too macho in her acts and situation she finds herself in. She takes way too many chances and sheer luck or a very busy guardian angel, saves her. But then again the author does a good job of giving us just enough of a back ground on her to prick our curiosity; her life appears to have been anything but stable growing up and of course being a woman in a man's job has toughened her to the point of callousness with a tough hide and a backbone to match. Then you see her caring side, not soft but something close to it. In all, it is one wild ride as the action starts almost immediately and it's one running battle after another. Really looking forward to the next installment

Wow!

This story has me sucked in from page one and I am now anxiously awaiting the next! If you like non-stop action, characters you will love or hate depending on the situation and the writing style that just flows smooth as silk, then sit down, strap in, and get ready to rumble!!!

This is a solid story. Mister Hansen takes zombpoc and gives it a fresh spin with characters that you can relate to. Set in an environment that is fleshed out to the point where you can easily see the map in your head. This in now in my top five zombie books of all time. Get it, you'll thank me.

Action from beginning to end.

It was a great fast-paced read, would've given it 5 stars but there were noticeable errors in wording/punctuation. Really enjoyed the book and would recommend it to others.

I liked the characters for the most part, but the story can get a bit convaluded. It seems like there are a lot of background things the author assumes we know that we haven't been told.
