The Connect

Rate this book
The infamous story of Bonnie and Clyde is revisited in this modern tale of love and loyalty. Integrity wasn't what Boo searched for in a business partner, true enough it was vital but it wasn't the key to the game– the heart was.
How ironic is it that Boo's lover is also his business partner? The beautiful and ambitious Samira Harper was every dope boy's dream but she was Boo's reality. Boo could have easily planted his trust into any of the dudes he hung around but they didn't match the criteria of a certified hustler. Before and after every mission and meeting, Boo would tell Samira, "Till death do us part babe," and he meant every single word.
Samira played the role of wifey and rider very well. As good as she cooked dinner, she still knew her way around the trap.
Samira and Boo's union wasn't expected to be understood by family or friends.
When the couple sacrifices it all for love and hustling what good will come from it? Does greed lead to their downfall or was it friends disguised as haters plotting and preying on their demise? When two bull heads link up someone has to follow the leader but who will it be?

Ooooohweeeee. This book started with a BANG (I’m talking explosive) and then Nako switches between the past and present day to explain how we got to that explosive beginning. However, for me, nothing compares to what was revealed at the end. I was sitting there 😮 nawwww that can’t be! I told myself to go to sleep and then wake up because you ain’t read that right. I went to sleep and woke up and the fact still remain. Boo and Samira are the modern day day hood Bonnie and Clyde! I got so many thoughts and questions. This is a good read.

LOVE IT!!!

Man. From the very first page til the very last page this book wrapped itself around my soul. As I read the book I saw so many similarities between Samira and Boo within my marriage. I downloaded the kindle app for my husband and I am making him read it. Their love is so powerful and I love that so much. This was truly an amazing read.

Love\hate relationship

I loved the book but, I hated the fact that Boo was childish when he wanted to be. I really hope she pulls through. I loved the way Sammy always looked out for Boo no matter what. I can't wait till they find out about her friend Cee. Boo have a few screws loose but, they are the perfect power couple. All I wanna know is who shot up the car and why?

This was a good beginning to series with a balance of characters, some straight, some shady. Boo was reckless with his behavior. Samira truly loved him. Storyline held my attention. Looking forward to next part

Shocked

Nako never disappoints with her bomb pen game! Although I'm late reading this , I'm not new to her writing and once again she did that and more! All I can say is I'm shocked with this cliff hanger and can't wait to see how things unfold in part2!

Boo and Samirah

What an unlikely couple, but a powerful one! Other than some grammatical errors, this is a great story. Great characters, storyline flowed pretty good. Got to purchase Part 2!

Sammy♥️

So I read the underworld before reading this book. I love the background on Boo and Sammy. A true Bonnie and Clyde although she absolutely deserves a faithful man in the least 😒 on to The Connect II.

Another banger!!

The very first chapter immediately grabs your attention. I admit, I was a bit frustrated in the beginning because of how the story kept switching from past to present, but then I realized I couldn't put the book down because I was extremely interested in knowing the story that landed Boo and Samira in the situation they were in. The book then goes back to tell the story of how Boo and Samira first met to becoming the power couple they are today. Samira loves Boo and Boo loves Samira. That is one thing that stands true through all of the drama they encounter down that road called love. Once again, Nako does a great job of balancing all of the emotions we encounter in everyday life and relationships, from being madly in love with someone to hating the ground they stand on. I'm looking forward to part II now that there are some major and juicy secrets being revealed. This is a must read to add to your list.

Excellent

Omg Nako, you got me all out of character. I never write reviews because I don't like swaying readers one way or another (this is my 2nd review ever & the first was after I read the last installment of the CW... I don't want my opinion be the reason the next person doesn't give the book a chance... this book was soooo freak'n good. I feel like I know the characters personally and I really didn't want the book to end. Keep doing what you're doing. May God continues to bless you and your mind with good stories.

Wow!!! As I was reading this I was I was loving Sammy and Boo. They had a out of this world type of love. She was the ride or die chick. Love that the friends they have are more family. I don't like Cee sneaky ass she is going to be straight trouble for the love birds. This book will have you laughing at the antics of Boo and family. Ready to take this ride and find out who the Connect is. This is a true recommend read.

Pretty good

This book was just okay for me. It just took too long for the drama to really get started. By the time I finally get all wrapped up in it and thirsty for what's next, the book is us over and I'm waiting on part 2. Now the cliffhanger was good and the unanswered questions and hint of foreseeable drama has me wanting and ready to read part 2.

Just Straight Up Good

This was definitely a true Bonnie and Clyde love story and it just as crazy as the true life ones. This is a fast paced well executed story from the word go.The two main characters at times are going to come off crazy and occasionally weak but that is not the case. This was a very entertaining story and nailing biting at times but you will enjoy the story.

Great book! Boo & Samira has that fairy tale love. Boo took a good girl and turned her into a queenpin but you know nothing comes without adversary. Lies, cheating, killing & jealousy are all factors with an ending that leaves you wanting more
