I read this book during my trip in Namibia and it felt like the perfect companion for the landscape. The storytelling is beautiful… clean, humorous and filled with stark, honest realizations through Muronga’s experiences.
I could feel the deep love and longing he carries: for his simple life in the village, for his wife and child, for his ancestors, the river, the birds, and the trees. At the same time, there’s a powerful sense of calling, to his people and to his country.
The details are so vivid that it felt as if I had seen everything with my own eyes. A soul-touching story that will stay with me.
