Finding Smoke
Alex volunteered to work as a fire spotter in Yosemite National Park for the summer, hoping for a couple of months of quiet -- and all the time in the world to read books and relax. And that's how it started off...until he nearly runs head-long into a bear.
He watches the bear make its way to his front porch and collapse, and then gets the surprise of his life -- the bear turning into a gorgeous man named Smoke. Smoke still bears the injury he obtained as a bear, and ends up crashing at Alex's house. After all, you can't really go to a hospital as a werebear, can you?
The isolation and close proximity force them into a tight relationship very quickly, and it rapidly progresses from friends into something much, much more...
