One thing I always liked about 2000AD was its punk rock spirit, the no-nonsense, unpretentious side that was lacking in Stan Lee's faux chummy missives from the bullpen, you know, the average American comic's sense of superiority. At the time, the Yanks were to graphic art what the French were to cuisine...and we 'umble Brits blew a lot of that hogwash away in an exhilarating burst of creativity. That is captured here, the book being as much about the interviewee's love for 2000AD as their own craft. The enthusiasm is palpable and contagious, and if you're a 40something like me, it brings the 70s and 80s zinging back to life in a most welcome way. Thanks guys!
