I really like the story line ...ok well I mean the small amount I was given within a 170 page book . I love Bella's character she is one of those take no crap kind of women. I still don't have Jax figured out. Is he good or bad? Who knows. Salvatore left just as quickly as he entered. My only problem is the length of the books. I wish they were longer. Story seemed rushed like so much to fit in to the story that it all kind of blurred together. I understand with the book only being 170 pages that there are only so many details that can be fit into it, and don't get me wrong even in that short amount of time I feel like I already know the characters but it seems to me the story ended just as quickly as it started. I just wish the story was more developed in this one book. In order to know what happens next I have to buy book 2 which is only 70 pages long and spend another .99. I get it in any series you have to buy the next book to continue the story. I guess if it were me I would have combined the first two and made one novel out of the two of them. (of course that is why I am the reader and not the author) with that being said I am excited to pick up book 2 and see where this story goes.

Can't wait to read book 2

This book hooked me in right from the start. Kimberly Blalock is Absolutely Amazing !!!
Bella #1 is a very fast paced read that starts out right in the middle of chaos. It will suck you in and you will not be able to put it down.

Isabella is a strong, solid character. She has a fire in her that just makes you want to applaud her.

Isabella Sagatori has always known her fate.
A girl could dream but I knew the reality. I’d marry a made-man because that’s the life I was born into, that’s who I am and what’s expected of the only child of Anthony Sagatori

Bella wants to be more than just a trophy wife, she wants to marry for love and not because she was ordered to. She wants to take over for her father and run the family business, however being a woman it is unheard of in her world.

What worries me the most was being trapped in a loveless marriage, so that someone I didn’t love could steer the famiglia while I sat idly by being a princess for the rest of my life

Jax starts out as Bella's savior, but things are not always what they seem. He has a darkness in him that leaves you questioning his actions.

I am very intrigued overall with this read. I seriously need more...

ARC was kindly provided in exchange for my honest review. With that being said I loved this story so much I purchased a copy for myself..

This was a really good book that made me want more. Isabella Sagatori is a mafia princess the apple of her daddy eye. Bella only wants to take over her father's business and to marry for love she doesn't want to be a trophy wife. This book hooked me right away. When start going south to gain protection her father offers her to Jax Moretti who is also a mob boss. I really liked both of these character's Jax is hot sexy and all alpha male. Bella is no push over she has a smart mouth and although she wants to take over she knows that women aren't really bosses in the mob this book did leave off on a cliffhanger. This was my first time reading this author. This book did have a few errors in editing. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

~ 3.5 Stars ~

This is my first time reading anything from Kimberly Blalock and I was super intrigued by the serial series releasing once a month. Especially since it's a mafia book. One of my favorites! Since I'm late to the game, I'm going to review Volumes 1-5 together and make sure it is a spoiler free as possible.

Isabella Sagatori is the epitome of mafia princess. She has grown up as the apple of her father's eye and has gotten everything she ever wanted. That doesn't mean that she hasn't learned a lot about the "family business." Over the years, she's learned how some things are run. In fact, she's actually always been interested in taking over for her father when the time is right. Unfortunately for her, she's the princess. She's living in what everyone tells her is a man's world and she knows she will never be able to get her father to see that she might actually be a good choice.

When Isabella's life is put in danger, she is forced to flee and fight for not only her own life but for her father's as well. As she is running, she runs into a man who seems like her hero. He finds her at dark time in a stressed situation and helps her get to where she needs to be. Little did she know that the very man that she though was her hero is now that man that her father is telling her she has to marry. Claiming it is the only way to protect her.

Jax Morretti quickly recognized who Bella was after rescuing her but doesn't let her know that. He makes the decision to keep her blind to what he knows and who he is. Although, he has plans of his own to make Bella his.

To maintain loyalty to the family, Jax and Isabella end up together. Both of them are full of secrets. Bella still wants to be involved in the "family business" and Jax wants to keep her out of it, claiming to protect her. He's cold and indifferent towards her a lot but there are times where he actually becomes vulnerable and shows his true feelings. They are both fighting off the fact that they are falling for each other under this unique situation that they have.

The series is shaping up to provide a lot of great twists and turns. Each volume will keep you guessing and make you want to get your hands on the next one. For me, there is just the right amount of danger element to stand up to my expectations for a good mafia book.

What I like the most is just how strong Bella is. She quickly learns that she is much more than the princess that she was raised as. She should be feared. She should be respected. She's made for the life that she's always been around.

Overall, I enjoyed reading these serials and I look forward to reading the rest of them. If you are looking for a good mafia storyline with plot twists that keep you wanting more, then this might be for you. A new serial is released each month.

Request for Honest Review by Author

I burst through the last set of thin trees as a bright light blinded me. A loud screeching screamed through my ears,
Leaving me to gasp as I pulled my hands to cover my face.
The car was going to hit me…

How do I began? Bella is a mafia princess and she is accompanied by the swoon worthy Jax. Set in the mafia world in Detroit, Chicago and New York, with alternating first person point of view of Bella and Jax. The book began with a rather thrilling episode but then the story became kind of slower, not matching the pace set initially. I was hoping for a much faster pace but it was fine as the introduction to other characters had to be done. There were a lot of stuff that was introduced from people, places to traditions common in these several families that are mentioned in the story.

Bella's fragile but strong. She was like a flower, they wilt if not kept watered every once in a while, but could survive harsh summer heat if needed.

The book overall was okay and it's not shortish, I don't really read book this short. There were a lot of editing errors the most common were grammar mistakes like sentences beginning without proper capitalization, sentences ending without making any sense, no punctuation what so ever and suddenly the next page a new chapter begins. These are the common mistakes that I observed are so obvious here. These sort of mistakes just should not be there. The writing style was fine, the author kept me engaged till the end but with much effort. The pace was unsteady, it kept going fast and slow. Plotwise I was kept in suspense regarding the next part of the story. Otherwise it is a good read. Enjoy!!!

"You're very insightful."

Sights are helpful, then I realized I can't see everything, I can only see what is shown by my eyes and years of experience as a human but some claim they see "everything". I wonder how?

REVIEW
Bella Sagatori is a Mob Boss's daughter. Her father is trying to protect her the best way he knows how and now its even more important than ever. Two men have asked for her hand in marriage and Bella wants no part of either of them. She wants love. One man took her but she manages to escape only to run right into the arms of the other man. Jax has managed to convince Bella's father he would be the best man for the job of protecting Bella and thus begins her life as a kept woman. But Bella is not one to keep her trap shut and things just went from bad to worse for her. And the man she needs most of all may not be there for her in the end. This is a good beginning to another great series by this author. Yes, we get a cliffhanger and boy it leaves you wanting much more. Awesome story.

I LOVED EVERY single minute of this story! Isabella Sagatori is her father's princess, but to others, she's the way to mafia power. She's running for her life when Jax Moretti comes across her path and saves her. Her father decides to marry her to Jax for her protection. Bella is not happy about this at all, especially since Jax has told her he will never love her. Will Jax be able to handle the strong mafia princess?

This story starts out with a bang, and keeps my heart racing cover to cover. The character development is great, and the way the layers are slowly peeled makes it very intense. An addictive, and well written storyline flows smoothly. Kimberly Blalock's easy writing style captivated me from beginning to end, leaving me needing more immediately, so I seriously HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

It was a very quick read, but so worth it!

When I read what it's about I was immediately sold.
I have a soft spot for this kind of stories.
Bella is a strong woman who knows what she wants, but doesn't always get in their maffia world.
Jax is a strong commanding alpha who has a little soft spot for Bella. At least that's how I felt it.
What was a bit odd was that she always say's that her papa treated her like a princess and all but every time they where together I had a different view of them. So I don't know maybe it's just my opinion. I know in their world it's normal how they treat her and al, but I didn't really loved the father from the beginning.
I'm glad I can read the next one immediately.

Loved this book, wish it had been longer. Bella is the mob princess, as a woman she has no say or place in the family business but is daddy's princess, he wants her to marry so somebody can take over the business when he is gone. Bella wants to marry for love not convenience and is reluctant, bellas dad thinks she is being a spoiled brat when it comes to marrying, and things she is making up lies when he nearly raped her. Enter jax, you can't deny his hotness and he just happened to be in the right place at the right time. Bellas dad sees that she is comfortable with had and makes a deal with him to marry her. Can Bella do it when jax has clearly stated he will never love her after his horrible past?

First of all....quit it with the short books!
I devoured this book and just as I was getting to a nice juicy section....you left a bloody ginormous cliffy!! I'm not sure I'll be able to stand the wait until Bella 2 hits my kindle! What were you thinking?!

Bella...strong, sassy and independent. I adore her. My heart stuttered a few times, then it sighed, then it stopped. Her while life is seemingly lead by a series of cliches that she so desperately wants to move away from. She thinks she kind of gets that chance with Jax...until we really meet him!
Speaking of him...man oh man! He's a bit scary, dominant, possessive yet you get the feeling he's going to dote on her and protect her with all he has.

This is going to be one hell of a series!

I haven't read a mafia read for awhile so I was really looking forward to reading this. The author didn't disappoint me- I loved it.

Bella is a 'princess' in the Mafia world. Her father adores her and will do anything he can to protect her. However she's a badass girl who wants to be herself and it just her daddy's princess.

This book starts off with a bang and the pace stays steady. I sat and read this until I'd finished it.

This is book one of a series. Usually I would wait to read a series when they were all released. However I'm glad I've read this and I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series. Brilliant read.

3.5 stars for me at the moment....

If I'm honest I probably shouldn't have started it because these types of story's grip my shit!! I hate when men treat their women the way Jax does in here and yes I know it's the life and women are not equal blahblahblah but it angers me I can't help it.
It also makes me want to slap bella to because there are moments when she stands up but the immediately back down ...grrrrrrrr.

I'm honestly half and half because I want to hate them but it's sucked me in and I need to read the next one now! I will see how that one goes then come back to this review.

Kimberly has done it again. This mafia series is by far amazing. Bella is a strong female living in a mans world. Your typical Italian Princess in her fathers eyes. He has done everything in his power to protect her. Then comes Jax Moretti, who has rescued her from the man she was promised to marry. Bella wants love, not to be some mafia trophy wife. Now she is being promised to Jax by her father to protect her.

Can Jax give Bella what she wants or will she just be his trophy wife. Total cliffy need book 2 now. Kimberly you have outdone yourself again.

This book had the potential to be great. If you want the book to feel authentic Italian mobb you might want to use Italian terms more. Some of the things the characters said and did was a joke. What crime boss let's someone bust into their home and let's them walk out when he threatens them?!?!?!?!?!?!?! Utterly ridiculous I tell you. This was just not my cup of tea and the Beta readers should have said something about how unrealistic and unlikely the characters and situations were being written.

Isabella is daughter of the mafia boss who's lived her life being adored by her father and some what sheltered. Her life is about to be changed by a series of events. This is a great start to the series but this book was not proofread properly. The mistakes are so blatant that it bugged me while reading this book.

This was a nice story about two people who are attracted to each other. It was refreshing to have their relationship flourish instead of having these two people "fall in love" within a week like some love stories. I can't wait for the next book in this series. I can't wait to find out what really happened to Jax wife before she died.

I have absolutely no idea why I waited for so long to actually start reading Bella!

The Sagatori Family Saga series is set in the mafia romance genre, one of the rarest genre I have ever read, yet this mafia romance novel has one of the best story out of all my reads, and I’m really excited to say that it was beyond amazing!

According to the author, Bella is a serial series set to be release every month. As the first volume of a serial, the length of this novel is just right and not too short, considering the fact that the entire series is set to be released in parts.

Although this is only the first part, and it might seem a tad too early to say this, but I actually think I’m might already be addicted to this serial!

I have read quite a few serials before, and usually, the pages do not go over 100, which kind of feels like someone just threw a bucket of ice water over my head whenever I finish a part of the serial.

Yet for Bella, it feels just nice. The story is neither too rush nor too slow, building at a steady pace and exploring the depths of the characters, especially Isabella Sagatori’s. Something rather unique, and one that I love, was the alternating point-of-view in the story.

I love how Bella Sagatori is being portrayed. A woman born into the mafia family, loyal to only her father and refused to be do what she is being told. She takes orders from no one! Though, there is just one thing that doesn’t quite sit well with me. How could her father not trust her?!

Jax Moretti is literally the most confusing character. One minute he’s protecting her, the other it seems as though he hates her?! Of course, he does seem to have redeeming qualities sometimes, but what I want to know is, whether Jax have any feelings for her.

I know he does, but from Bella’s point-of-view, it doesn’t seem that way! Guess I’ll be starting the second volume very, very soon!

I do think Kimberly Blalock is pretty awesome! Fitting in an amazing story, the depths of the characters, with action and romance into 120 pages is definitely not easy and if the first volume already looks this promising, I can’t wait to read the rest of the volumes in this serial!

Highly recommended for all romance readers, especially those who loves mafia romance novels and fans of Kimberly’s The Angel Trilogy!

Great beginning of a new series. This book jumps right in to action! But, hold on to your hats, because it's fast paced and unfortunately, a short book!

Bella was a mafia princess and was "promised" to Sam. Our story begins with her running through the woods, trying escape her supposed future husband. She runs out in the road and almost gets hit by a car. The man (Jax Moretti) jumps out yelling at her but he winds up giving her a ride. She calls her Papa and he tells her to go to the "safe house". That's where Jax Moretti takes her. She's grateful to him and when she gets to the safe house, it seems Jax knows her father. Or maybe she was mistaken? Bella definitely feels "sparks" from Jax.

Jax gets Bella's Papa to promise her to him, instead of the jerk that was abusive to her. However, our little Bella is quite the rebellious one and doesn't want anything to do with Jax (even though she does have the hots for him). Will her Papa make her keep his promise?

This was a good book, it had twists and turns, sadness, sweetness and a few laugh out loud moments.I had a love/hate relationship with Jax. One minute he was sweet and seemed to care for Bella and then he was the typical mob boss. The jury is still out on him, for me.

I loved at the end of the book where the author assured us that even though this was a cliffhanger, book 2 would be out soon and even though this wasn't an erotica book, the next would be. I'm looking forward to book 2, for sure!

Let me start off saying that I love me a good Mafia Romance and this did not disappointment at all.

Isabella Sagatori is the daughter to the head boss and his princess. Bella as they call her is headstrong, and she thinks she knows what she wants out of life... She wants the power, love, and well she wants it all. That is until she meets Jax... ahh insert SWOON for this man now.

What worries me the most was being trapped in a loveless marriage, so that someone I didn’t love could steer the famiglia while I sat idly by being a princess for the rest of my life

Jax Moretti doesn't know who she is until he rescues her and bring her home to papa... But... There is always more than what meets the eye. Jax isn't who she thinks he is...

Let me say the tension, the agony I felt for the tension between them, the suspense, and the words from this saga had me up late flipping to the next page...

Kimberly Blalock has created a true version of what I imagine a mafia romance would be life in real life. I was swept away by her writing style, and the powerful words from the way she portrayed it. I can't wait to dive in round 2. I just pray I get more of my Jax in return.

Recap.. Strong female... Strong male.. Suspense... Hidden secrets... Danger... Attraction...

I love a good mafia romance. I love a good suspenseful romance as well. Add in a dominant male going head to head with a strong willed female who just happens to be the mafia princess and that just makes that clash of wills even more powerful. Add all of those components together with some sexual tension that is off the charts then you have the beginning of this Sagatori Family Saga, Bella Vol 1.

I loved how Bella is strong and even though she at times has to keep her mouth shut when she doesn’t watch out because this princess has a huge bite to her. I did also feel for her because you could tell that all she wanted was a chance for her father to see that she was strong enough but in the way of the mafia, women don’t have any power. When she is forced to marry Jax I wasn’t sure what to think.

Jax is the head of the Chicago family, marrying Bella will raise his position even higher and he vows to protect her even if she wants nothing to do with the whole thing. Now is Jax and asshole at times? Yes he is, so much so if I were him I’d worry about her taking him out but then he is also sweet at other times. With this being the first Volume of this saga we will have to wait and see just how things are going to play out not only with Bella and Jax but within the families as well.

This is my first Kimberly Blalock read and I'm hooked. I love Mafia Romance books and Kimberly's book did not disappoint one bit. From page one to the end i couldn't stop reading. Its a fast read and you are immediately thrown right into chaos.

Isabella while a little bit whiny at times to me is strong and determined. Shes got a mouth on her and isnt afraid to tell anyone what is on her mind even when she shouldn't. Especially being the Mafia Kings princess daughter. She was promised to a certain person but she wants to be more than arm candy and a made-man's one way ticket. She wants to marry for love. But is that even possible?

Jax that man can save me any day. Thats how he started off was being Bella's savior on a crazy night but things are so not what they seem.

I'm pulled in and need more. The ending wasn't a horrible way to leave it but it does leave you wanting more. No let me rephrase that i will leave you needing more.

This is my first book by Kimberly and it was really good. I like that it was short and sweet but left me wanting so much more! Yes, there is a major cliffhanger, but it had to be done and executed perfectly.
Bella is a woman living a mans world - literally. Her father is the mob boss. She wants to be in charge but knows that will never happen. She is promised to a certain man, she will marry him. But just like in all mafia cases, it's a matter of convenience. Bella wants to marry for love and not because of a business deal.
Jax is a good man - or so we think. His actions are questionable and make you wonder where is loyalties lie. Does he love Bella? What is his end game?
Kimberly did a great job of keeping me on the edge of my seat the entire time and making me want more. Only thing "wrong" with book is the lack of sex...there is none. And when I say wrong I just mean it wasn't there. Didn't take away from the story though.

Bella- this mafia princess is a promised woman.
Raised by her father, she desperately needs guidance. My heart hurts for this amazingly selfless and tough woman. She wants a normal life. To find love. And to marry for love, not convenience.
Running for her life, fate intervenes, and collides into Jax’s path.
Truths unfold, both pushed together due to dying circumstances, Bella feels her world shifting.
She’s lonely, sad and hurtingly angry. Will she find what she’s desperately seeking?
Bella’s world shifts once again, the outcome extremely painful, gut wrenching.
Omg so flippin sad!! Felt her pain in my own heart.
The end threw me for a loop, making my brain work overtime trying to make sense of this mysterious plot. Grr…… Cliffy alert, hate those:(
But an amazing start to Ms Kimberly’s mafia series!
