Keeping Friends Close

Rate this book
Episode 13 of Bookburners, the urban fantasy episodic series from Serial Box, will be unlucky for someone—but whom?

After Sal, possessed by the Hand, turns on her friends and teammates, Team Three has to decide whether she is a victim or a target. As Father Menchu tries to buy time, Teams One and Two gear up for the kind of action usually filed under "extreme prejudice." And the Hand, with the dark power of the Codex Umbra at his command, begins to assemble an army.

This episode is brought to you by team-writer Mur Lafferty, who recommends against reading it on a dark and stormy night.

Keeping Friends Close continues the 16-part Serial, Bookburners, presented by Serial Box. From a team of writers, this collaborative effort unfolds an epic urban fantasy narrative across an entire season in weekly installments.

Bookburners Season One: Episode 13...

After the last episode and the damage inflicted upon Team 3's library, the Vatican is in an uproar. The Hand is still here and it's trying to create a portal to let all of the demons into the world. Team 1 has been tasked to come in and clean up Team 3's mess using any means necessary-- but they have to find them first! Can Team 3 stop The Hand & save their Team before Team 1 finds them?

These episodes always pack a punch and this one was no different. They are quick, action-packed & loads of fun and you can fit them in when you only have a few minutes to spare.

Moving on to the next one...
