I did enjoy this book and it was well written by this experienced author. However, she does write a lot of internal dialogue (which can get annoying). I prefer seeing stories unfold in real time without so much reflection and recollection by the H/h. Quite often there were many paragraphs (even a couple of pages) after one sentence and I found myself having to skim back to see who spoke and understand what the answer was referring to. Apart from that, the novella had an interesting back story and can be read as a standalone. It had very good, steamy romance scenes. 3.5 stars.

4.5 🌟 Like You're Happy To See Me
A wee bit of mystery, a deceased husband you're glad is so, and more to a person than the covering on the outside. Really good story. Well rounded characters and storyline with no cheating or cliffhanger. There is some steamy intimacy scenes and a happy ever after. Enjoy 🤓

A very interesting and twisty tale that was fun to read.

Warm fuzzy feeling!
Don't you just love a lovely sexy story? I do and this whole series has been fantastic! I wanted these two books sense book 5 with Daisy and her love interest , other great story, take my word for it. I'm so glad I found this author.

Oh, this is such a fab series. I usually only read historical books, but reading this was so enjoyable. I love the sexy Alpha men. Just one more to read. 4☆

Fast Read Novella That is Hot
FINAL DECISION: This novella is action packed and very sexy. The story is very straightforward and simple, but I liked the connection between the main characters. This is an easy and enjoyable read.
THE STORY: Diana Moore believes someone broke into her apartment although no one else does. Eight months ago, Diana's world fell apart when she was kidnapped and held for ransom and then her husband was killed. Fearful of what might be happening now, Diana turns to the only person she can think of -- Seth Armstrong. Seth works for Grayson Security and was the one who rescued her from her kidnappers.
OPINION: This is a straightforward and quick read. For a novella, there is a strong storyline with a lot of action and suspense. This book, however, is rooted in the relationship between Diana and Seth. The two have an immediate connection (which works because of the short length of the story). The story is hot and sexy. The connection might be too quick for some readers, but the length of the story gives some excuse for the quick progression of the romance between the characters.
WORTH MENTIONING: There are no appearances by the main characters from the previous novels only brief mentions for some.
CONNECTED BOOKS: ROGUE ALPHA is the seventh book in the ALPHA series. Although there are overlapping characters, ROGUE ALPHA can be read as a standalone.

Grayson Security operative Seth Armstrong, bad-ass alpha male complete with sexy scar, takes center stage in this 7th Alpha series novel. (Like its predecessors, it works as a standalone.) He doesn't recognize the woman who comes on to him in a bar, but she's smoking' hot! Turns out she's a former client who needs his services again - or is she just imagining the stalker who has her so terrified? So begins a wild ride: a fast-paced plot, scorching sex, an alpha male hero with the courage to love, and one kick-ass leading lady who can match him in and out of bed! Carole Mortimer has it totally right this time. Loved every minute!
