Iain wasn't just rough around the edges—he was uncivilized, despite all the elegant trappings and expensive suits. And Brynn wanted more of it. She wanted Iain in full-on barbarian mode.

She wanted to be taken.

Filthy rich British bad boy Iain Chapman made a name for himself as a ruthless businessman, but if he can secure an investment from Vegas powerhouse Trevor Blake, Iain could take his business to the next level. Solution? Hire beautifully timid corporate trainer—and Trevor's sister-in-law—Brynn Campbell and seduce his way to success.

Brynn's everything Iain is kind, delicate, decent. But she's also got a taste for something a little beastly, and it doesn't take long for Iain to break through her every inhibition. Brynn was supposed to be his pawn, but as Iain gets closer to his goal, he begins to realize he's not ready to let her go, not now, not ever—even if it costs him everything.

Beauty and the Brit Series
His Every Need (Book 1)
To Be His (Book 1.5)
His Kind of Trouble (Book 2)
His to Keep (Book 3)

His to Keep is the third book in Terri Austin's Beauty and the Brit series. Each book can be read as a standalone and not miss out on anything in each couple's story.

Iain Chapman has a simple business philosophy: do what he wants, when he wants it or you can find another job. He's ruthless and cold when it comes to his business. But that ruthlessness has made him (and his business partner) a very rich man. And he sees a chance to get a jump on a development in an up-and-coming Vegas area. Now he just needs the investors to help fund his vision. His solution: hire Brynn Campbell. He saw Brynn at a party several months ago and was instantly attracted to the shy woman. And the fact that she is the sister-in-law to Trevor Blake is an added bonus. He can hire her for her connections to Blake and seduce her at the same time. But what he doesn't expect is for the timid Brynn to get under his skin the way she does.

But secrets have a way of coming out and will Iain be able to repair the damage with Brynn before he loses the one person that he his willing to lose everything for?

On a side note:

I need to go back and read His Every Need and To Be His because for the life of me, I can't like Trevor Blake. He just seems so cold and money-oriented that it is hard to like him after reading His Kind of Trouble and His to Keep.

Rating: 4 out of 5

I really enjoyed His to Keep, great characters and a very entertaining story.

Loved both Iain & Brynn, were such likable and relatable characters.
Watching their relationship unfold made me laugh, I got so caught up with their interactions I couldn't put it down.

For me this series has been a fun and entertaining read and I highly recommend it.

Oh my word. These two. Iain and Brynn. Well, they were a handful.
"Stay on your best behavior and try not to say fuck so much."

So the basic gist is Iain's a wanker. He's working on a business deal and his best idea for getting close to a potential investor he has his eye on is chatting up the bloke's sister-in-law and waiting for his chance for an introduction. Yup. Wanker. His in? Hiring her to help boost morale at his company since she's a conflict resolution specialist and, well, his employees fear the hell out of him.
"Remember your new motto. Don't be a dickhead."

Okay. So, yes. Iain and Brynn are characters I usually wouldn't like. She's a total doormat--lets her boss, family, coworkers take advantage pretty much constantly--and he's a total prick most of the time. But damn if they didn't charm me somehow. I don't even know how. He's full of dick moves, she's straight out of a conflict resolution manual. She is very tender hearted, though, nd kind and just wants everyone to be happy. And he's focused, determined, hardworking and has pulled himself up from nothing. They both just needed some balance to not be full of suck. And somehow together they found that balance. lol
"I do care about you. Moe than I should.

"I care about you too, Brynnie. It's bloody inconvenient, isn't it?"

She laughed and drew her finger down the length of his tie. "Very. I don't want to like you, but I can't seem to help it."

I loved that they really were exact opposites in most ways. But when they were with each other he poked and prodded and brought out her fire. Got her voicing her actual opinions instead of avoiding conflict. And she brought out the softer sides in him and had him starting to see people's feelings and needs and realizing they weren't just replaceable. They really were better people when together than on their own. And had some pretty dang steamy moments, too. Woo! Yes. There's a little dominance play and exploring which was super hot and so fun. They could be a little silly now and again, too.
Brynn slammed her bottle on the counter. "For God's sake, I can't eat with your penis staring me in the face."

All in all, I'm ready for more from Austin. She took a trope I typically dislike and character traits that usually have me rolling my eyes and instead of feeling all growly I was totally smiling over these two and enjoyed watching them butt heads, steaming up the sheets and falling in love.

Iain Chapman is a fighter. Born into very poor circumstances, he scrapped his way to fortune and has his eye on more. To get to the next level, he needs an opportunity to convince one of the most successful businessmen in Vegas to invest in his venture and he'll go as far as seducing a family member to get an introduction.

I had my eye on this book from the first time I read the blurb and I was looking forward to a very enjoyable experience reading it. Well, it wasn't exactly what I expected but I learned one thing: I have a terminal aversion to passive, weak characters who let people walk all over them and Brynn Campbell is by far the worst of them. My issue isn't that she actually had a mild personality, it's that she never stood up for herself and even in her internal monologues, she talked down to herself.

Iain on the other hand, is the alpha male you always look forward to reading about. Barely contained, quite crude in spite of the high end suits and very ruthless in business. In the bedroom, he's very untamed and absolutely dominant. With a woman who is strong enough to go toe to toe with him, it would have been a combustible combination. Sadly, Brynn was not that woman. In fact their every encounter made me think of a big cat playing with prey before going in for the kill and way he steamrolled over her all the time was so annoying, I found myself throwing my tablet to the side a few times. The only place Iain and Brynn were a perfect match was sexually because it was where they completely let go with each other.

Surprisingly, in spite of my dislike of the characters, the story was actually enjoyable and Ms. Austin's writing was really good. The changes in Iain were obvious because he went from uncaring and brusque with his employees to a more likable and friendly version of himself. Even personally, it was obvious that he had mellowed quite a bit so maybe Brynn wasn't so bad after all. And she finally grew a spine, very late in the game.

If you are not a fan of wimpy females, I'll suggest you pass on this. If you prefer you alpha males to be civilized, cultured and polished, then you may not enjoy this book. And if you don't enjoy explicit sex scenes, then this is not the book for you. If however any of the above flips your buttons, then this is the book for you.

This was a cute read from Terri Austin! I haven't read anything from her before, but I quickly found myself enamoured with His to Keep. Iain and Brynn, both have their different stories and together they write their own story.

Brynn is a character I found myself relating to way too much. The person who has a hard time saying no? That is totally me. Seeing her work her way through things was great. Paired with Iain, the guy who, at times, could have coined the phrase "asshole" or the like, the two of them seemed to balance one another out and work. It was a unique story, one that had its share of funny moments, hot moments, and all the other types in between.

The basis on which Iain started his suit for Brynn borders stalkery, but once the story moves past that and Iain begins to reflect on that, I was able to look past and focus on the rest of the story.

After reading this one, I was even more excited to read the blurbs for books 1 and 2 to see that they are completely up my alley, as was this one. I must read book 1 ASAP as it sounds amazing!

~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~

This is the third in the series - and features the third of the Campbell sisters, Brynn. Both of her sisters have settled down with rich Brit ex-pats and Brynn finds herself also in the sights of a Brit, Iain, but he is no toff, and he has selfish reasons for chasing her.

Iain, however is brought to his senses by this little dynamo of a woman - and really doesn't know how to deal with her. Their 'romance' is hot, fun, intense and clearly scares them both. Brynn has had to deal with so much, that she has some very clear expectations, which she is confident that Iain is not interested in providing. As time goes on, everything starts to unravel, but faint heart never won fair lady, as Iain finally works out...

Good story that gave us some fun glimpses into Allie and Monica's progress as well as giving Brynn a chance to find her HEA.

Another smexy, loveable alpha bad boy in Terri L Austin's Beauty and the Brit series! Iain can't keep his hands off or his heart from the youngest Campbell sister, Brinn, even though he wants to use her to further his own goals. His personal demons chase him toward conquest--first, overcoming his Manchester childhood's poverty and grief; second, making himself a Las Vegas tycoon; and now, making Brinn his.
Because of her own childhood tragedies, Brinn's grown into the ultimate people-pleaser while secretly harboring her bad-girl desires. A fling with Iain seems just the thing to get her out of her rut, but his demands may be more than she bargained for. Standing up for herself is a struggle at home and at work, and standing up to Iain without breaking her heart may prove impossible.

Austin's third book in the series melds two opposites while allowing the characters to grow to better themselves. In the series, finding happiness is a greater fight for this hero & heroine, which makes their struggle all the more real and rewarding.

This was a sweet, sexy and sometimes really funny story. I enjoyed both MC's, especially Ian. Yes, he is arrogant, abrupt and very blunt with how he handles people. There's no sugar coating for him. But he's also possessive, obsessive, domineering, endearing and just all out sexy as hell when it comes to his Brynne. He made quite a few mistakes but came through in end. Brynne, although a push over in the beginning, is sweet and I found her character to be relatable. I enjoyed watching her grow a backbone and step up to people that were constantly walking over her. A lot of this was thanks to Ian and him supporting her and encouraging her to stand up to people.

All in all, the was super sweet, funny and sexy with little drama and I really enjoyed it.

Iain is quite the charmer, “actionable how? Like we’d clear the desk and have at it?” Iain has no problems being naked but his woman sometimes has issues with it, "Brynn slammed her bottle on the counter . “For God’s sake , I can’t eat with your p***s staring me in the face.” Iain knows how to give a compliment, “you’ve suddenly become very brazen. I rather like this Brynn.” He grinned and unhooked his belt. His pants and boxers went flying before he sprawled out next to her." I liked this book, yes Iain could be a butt, but he was a hot butt.

Out of the Beauty and the Brit's series by Terri L. Austin this one was the most enjoyable to me.

Brynn, the youngest Campbell sister, falls in love with a rags to riches man, who did not have the purest intentions for their romance.

He has business aspirations and wants to meet her Brother in Law for funding of a project. But Brynn is shy, cautious, and not at all what he expected. The problems she encounters in the bedroom is more common than a lot of people think and he works with her to overcome any issues she has.

And while he is trying to seal the deal he falls in love. What I love about this story is that he needs to work to get her back. That they are both human and make a ton of mistakes. They are believable characters and are enjoyable to read.

I struggled to rate this book because there were things I liked and things I didn’t. I didn’t like how distant Ian could become. I didn’t enjoy how quickly they got married and I didn’t enjoy their dynamic. I did however like Ian and Amy’s dynamic. Overall I had many mixed feelings and am too indecisive to rate it.

In all honesty, this book was decent. The story line was kind of typical with a different edge. The ending is not how my life would’ve gone, but that’s not what makes good books, so I’m fine with it.

The sex scenes were amazing though. Makes me want to read her other books, especially Trevor’s because he was my fave. Overall, it was a good book. No regrets

Some coercion/harassment here. I wish that the consent were more explicit because the male lead is so forceful that it's hard to tell what the heroine would do if he didn't have financial power over her. Though she does get more independent later in the story.

Not for me

If u like fast love stories then this is for you, unfortunately not for me, why authors write falling in love is in overnight thing I don't know, give a little time to work it more time was given on the sex scenes than the characters itself!

I am almost finished reading His to Keep by Terri L. Austin.
Here are my thoughts about the book.
On the positive side, I enjoyed reading the story.

On the negative side, I thought the book had too many raunchy sexual scenes for my liking.

Also, I did not like Iain’s character. He was very bossy, demanding and foul mouthed.

REVIEW: HIS TO KEEP is the third full length installment in Terri L. Austin’s contemporary, adult BEAUTY AND THE BRIT erotic romance series. This is billionaire businessman/ British ex-pat Iain Chapman, and corporate trainer Brynn Campbell’s story line. HIS TO KEEP can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Some of the characters from the previous story lines play secondary and supporting roles. Any important information from previous installments is revealed where necessary.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Iain and Brynn) HIS TO KEEP continues on the theme of the Campbell sisters falling in love with British businessmen. Las Vegas is all about appearances but Brynn is a woman who is content to hide in the shadows, playing the yes-woman to her boss’s demands-a bit of a doormat when it comes to saying no. When Brynn is forced into working with wealthy British billionaire Iain Chapman, all bets are off when Iain vows that one day she will be his. What ensues is the building relationship between Brynn and Iain, and the length Iain must go to, to hide his original intent. Iain is looking for investors, and Brynn’s brother-in -law Trevor is the perfect man to help with Iain’s investments.

The relationship between Brynn and Iain is one of immediate attraction but Brynn is not the usual type of woman Iain has by his side. Brynn is a woman who has written a book about office and business protocol, and Iain refuses to abide by any of Brynn’s suggestions and demands. Brynn is a woman whose sense of taste and style is a throwback to another time, and Iain finds himself ‘charmed’ but her nuances and little idiosyncrasies. Iain is a self made man; a billionaire who makes demands and doesn’t care who gets hurt in the fall out. While Iain continues to push all of Brynn’s buttons, Brynn finds herself falling for a man who is determined to keep himself apart from everyone he knows. The $ex scenes are erotic, intense, provocative and seductive. There is some very light bondage and discipline play-Iain likes control both in and out of the boardroom.

The secondary and supporting players include Brynn’s sisters and their husbands: Trevor and Allie Blake (His Every Need #1); Cal and Monica Hughes (His Kind of Trouble #2); as well as Iain’s best friend and business partner Marcus (Marc) Atwell who is having some woman troubles of his own; and Brynn’s hopeless neighbor Natasha. We are also introduced to Brynn’s boss Cassandra, and Brynn’s co-worker Paige.

The world building focuses on Iain and Marc’s business ventures, and Iain’s inability to acknowledge the people who work for him –every day. There is an abundance of British terminology and slang that is interspersed throughout the story.

HIS TO KEEP is a fun read; sexy look at a billionaire businessman who loses his heart and his soul to an American wall flower who runs at the first sign of trouble. The premise is entertaining and enjoyable; the characters are charismatic and charming; the romance is an erotic path to a happily ever after.

His to Keep by Terri L. Austin
Book #3: Beauty and the Brit Series
Source: Purchase
My Rating: 4½/5 stars
My Review:

Last, but certainly not least in the Beauty and the Brit series is Brynne Campbell’s story. The youngest of the Campbell sisters, Brynne is the most introverted, shyest, and most insecure of the Campbell girls. Though Brynne is extremely good at her job, she allows her worthless boss to take advantage of her and can’t seem to say no when anyone asks her to take on some of their work. Brynne knows she is a sucker but she just can’t seem stop helping people even if it causes her discomfort. Which is exactly how Brynne feels when she is forced to work with Ian Chapman. Totally. Completely. Uncomfortable.

Iain Chapman is a driven man and makes no apologies to anyone for his behavior, attitude, mouth, or actions. When Iain wants something, it happens and it makes no difference at all who he has to steamroll over to get what he wants. He has managed to suppress most of his own feelings which in turn means he has no clue about the feelings of others. Nor does he care. As far as Iain is concerned, everyone is expendable. Enter Brynne Campbell, the only one of the Campbell sisters who is still single and the only one who can get Iain what he wants, access to Brynne’s brother-in-law, Trevor. Iain has big plans for the future of his business and he needs Trevor’s backing and money to make the dream a reality. In typical Iain fashion, Brynne is meant to be nothing more than a means to an end and if he gets to shag her, all the better.

Until he meets Brynne Campbell. Brynne is delicate, shy, intelligent, stunningly sexy, and the exact opposite of every woman Iain has ever shagged. Though she is clearly uncomfortable in his presence, Brynne has a job to do and she takes her work very seriously. If Iain could shut down his ginormous ego long enough to listen to her, Brynne might actually be able to make some positive changes in both his professional and personal life. In fact, if Iain can manage to be even the slightest bit respectful, he may get to see all of Brynne in a way that no other man ever has. The longer Brynne is in his presence, the more Iain likes her and for the first time in his life, he actually feels bad about his behavior and plan to use someone.

Brynne is at once completely turned off and completely turned on by Iain Chapman. He is brash, loud, uncouth, unapologetic, and domineering. The first four of those characteristics fall squarely into the character flaw column while the fifth falls right on into the completely intriguing, totally surprising, and super-sexy column. Well, what to do with that??? Turns out, Brynne decides to explore that domineering side of Iain and the results are explosive. The sexual chemistry between Brynne and Iain is absolutely off the charts and the deeper they delve into the sexual side of their relationship, the more emotionally attached they both become. While Brynne decides to embrace the good, Iain has to deal with his hidden agenda and how he will keep the awful from Brynne. If she were to find out . . . .

The Bottom Line: WOOOOOO! True to form and true to the series, His to Keep has a sexy Brit, a Campbell sister, a lot of crazy, some seriously hot naughty bits, and a story that has a blatant disregard for your commitments the following day. Yes, I stayed up way too late to finish this book and have not a single regret, not one. I have thoroughly enjoyed all three books in this series and love how interwoven all three books really are. The Campbell sisters are absolutely connected to one another, each sister finds a hot Brit (living in Vegas not less!), and each sister must overcome serious personal issues in an effort to find their HEA. The men are much the same in that they each have their own personal drama to sort through and each totally screws up his relationship before getting to his own HEA.

When the rude and dominant Brit meets the introverted people-pleaser, it's a major case of opposites attract.

For a woman who makes a living as a conflict resolution specialist, Brynn Campbell is a doormat. She's perfectly happy behind the scenes writing and creating leadership manuals, so when she's informed that she'll be leading a training course, she knows she'll end up doing it, even when her entire body is screaming "NO!!!" Her fears are confirmed when her client, Iain Chapman, wont take her training seriously, insisting on breaking every sexual harassment rule in her neat little book by informing her they'll be lovers. There's no way in hell she could take a man like Iain to bed…Brynn can't even orgasm for the love of Pete! She'd be mortified when a dominant man like him realizes he can't even make her come!

Iain has his own reasons for insisting Brynn be the one to train him, mostly because he needs an introduction to her extremely wealthy brother-in-law, but he'd be lying if he said he hadn't been captivated by her for months already. As their relationship deepens, it's what Iain isn't saying to Brynn that could bring them both to their knees.

HIS TO KEEP is book 3 In the Beauty and the Brit series and can be read as a standalone. Not having read any of the books in this series, I'm happy to report that I wasn't lost whatsoever, and that the plot was its own. That said, I was utterly and completely bored with this read. It took me three times the amount of time it should have to get through this book, as I found myself doing anything BUT flipping the pages. It's not that it was BAD, really, but it failed to capture my attention whatsoever. I think it was because it's a combination of a lot of other books I've read and therefore both predictable and dull.

Wallflower Brynn was uninteresting and forgettable, while Iain's over the top pompous ass persona did nothing to impress me either. Together, they did have intense chemistry and loads of erotic sex scenes, with light bondage and some spankings, but then again, it wasn't anything I haven't read a hundred times before.

While I didn't really care for HIS TO KEEP, it was blissfully cleanly written and damn near error free, which I appreciate immensely. I have no doubt that others will love this read, but for me, I just didn't find anything that I could sink my teeth into.

Bottom Line: HIS TO KEEP was just full of "eh" for me, but it's the kind of sexy and safe book that will likely make others swoon. - See more at: http://www.theromancereviews.com/view...

His to Keep,  Terri Austin

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance,

I’ve read all of this series so far, and each have been five star reads for me. This one lives up to the others though the first book is still my favourite – time for a reread I think!

Anyway, three sisters and how they met their man. Its youngest sister Brynn’s turn now. I really liked Brynn, understood her so well. I’m a people pleaser too – I hate to say no when I'm asked to do something. I even went to adult ed assertiveness classes for a few weeks but it didn’t help. I hate role playing and every time I had to say no I felt I needed to apologise much to the frustration of the tutor! It means I can really empathise with Brynn, with the way she allows herself to take on more and more, and has to work so much longer to just keep up.
Then there’s Iain, rich, rude and ruthless sums him up really. Yet when he saw Brynn some months ago he was attracted in a way he’s never been before and can’t seem to get her out of his mind. When he and his partner Marc need investors for his latest project and he targets Brynn’s brother in law Trevor it seems a good idea to use Brynn to get to him. Kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Of course we can see its not a good idea, and his partner cautions him, but Iain’s always very single minded and determined to make it work. He gets a surprise though at just how strong his feelings for Brynn are, how it pleases him that he and Brynn fit so well together, that she likes her sex a little out of the ordinary, that while he likes to dominate she loves to submit – it works for them both. Its not in a heavy BDSM way, just a little stronger than other people would like.

What I really love about Terri’s stories are the characters, they all feel so real, like people I could know, and the situations they’re in are realistic. I need that in a story, that things could happen that way. Its got some terrific drama too when things go wrong. We can take a good guess at what’s going to happen, but not when and how, and when it does happen its heart-breaking, and played out for some time, not over in two pages or so. Just the sort of dramatics that make a read special for me!

Stars: Five. a great read and terrific addition to the series.

Lighthearted and A Bit Humorous

Iain Chapman, arrogant and self-assured businessman wants Trevor Blake as a major investor in his real estate development project. What better way to get an introduction to Mr. Blake than to hire his sister-in-law, Brynn Campbell. From his first sighting of Brynn shyly blending into the background of a party, he knew there was something special about her. He’s British, and oh, so handsome, everything about him screams wealth and sophistication, but his rough and no-nonsense exterior is what’s got him to the top of Las Vegas big business.

Brynn Campbell is the youngest of the Campbell sisters, and her story is book 3 in the Beauty and Brit series. Since her mom’s illness and death, Brynn has shied away from anything dealing with the center of attention, she’s okay with being the wallflower. It’s affected her personal and work behavior, always putting other people before her needs. Brynn’s goodhearted nature is what endears her to friends and family, but it is also why others take advantage. Iain sees this as an opportunity when he underhandedly hires her in attempt to lure Trevor Blake as an investor. He can’t resist Brynn, and Ian wants her. But will Iain break her heart to get to the investor he needs for his project?

His To Keep is my first book by Terri Austin. This story is lighthearted and entertaining with some laugh-out-loud moments. Just love how Brynn keeps giving herself pep talks whenever she’s in self-doubt mode. How she calls herself “jellyfish” and very much aware she’s a pushover. Thank goodness she grew a spine by the end of the story, I wanted to virtually finger-pop her on the head. But she lived up to the strong heroine I knew she could be. And Iain, finally tuned down the testosterone enough to righteously claim his woman. Their “tacky” Las Vegas style wedding was so outrageous, funny and romantic. It was definitely high up on the swoon-worthy scale.Though I consider this a sweet romance, there is plenty of sex scenes that ratchet up the heat scale. My only complaint is the pace is a bit slow in the beginning and I struggled to keep my attention focused, but it picks up towards the end. Clocking in at 448 pages, it’s quite long but I enjoyed the the romantic ending and epilogue to help round out this story.

Let me start by saying this is definitely a sizzling read. Iain knows his way around a woman’s body and Austin makes sure you know it too so you need to be OK with that bedroom door being wide open, showcasing his every dominant moment. It’s hot and sexy but won’t be for everyone.

Outside of the bedroom, the story showcases the growth of Iain and Brynn – both individually and as a couple. Iain is ruthless and doesn’t really spend a lot of time thinking of others, having no issue using people to get what he needs. And that includes Brynn. But it doesn’t take long for her to get under his skin, making him change how he treats people. As for Brynn, she has issues saying no and domineering, arrogant Iain threatens her safe, comfortable world. But the more time she spends with him, the more of his take charge attitude rubs off on her and she starts to stand up for herself. I really like how these two help each other, changing and working their way closer to something in the middle for both of them.

Of course the biggest issue is the fact that Iain started their relationship to get to her brother-in-law and it wouldn’t be a romance if that didn’t get out at the wrong time, causing trouble. I don’t usually like romances that are based on lies but Austin does a good job of having all of it – the way it happens and the aftermath – fit with their personalities. It’s not pretty but it definitely works and I appreciate that while Iain put everything in motion he decided pretty early on to not go through with it but he didn’t know how to fix it. And once it all goes upside down, I have to appreciate his attempt to set it to rights and win Brynn back. It’s not for everyone – some aren’t going to like the way that Iain uses her (it is kinda old school romance, but that doesn’t stop it from being enjoyable) and others aren’t going to like the steamy sex scenes - but if you give it a go you are going to get a hot, enjoyable read with growth, heartache, and a fun HEA ending.

(This is the 3rd book in this series and while there were little things that I didn’t totally understand about Brynn’s siblings it didn’t impact anything – this one can definitely stand on its own)

This novel tries to copy the ultra-successful 50 Shades formula of ultra-rich, dominating bad boy and outwardly shy but inwardly passionate young woman who is secretly aching to be dominated.

It appears that 50 Shades is very much harder to copy than it looks.
