I would recommend this book to anyone looking to improve their life. Though that is a dramatic and broad statement, the underlying science behind this technique is sound and has been rigorously tested in more than 10,000 studies, and continues to be studied at the HeartMath institute. I got this book because I have heard of this technique and wanted to use it, but didn't have a clear-cut way to know I was doing it correctly. I was thinking of investing in a heart-coherence monitor. But after reading this book he says you can almost guarantee the breathing method to put you in resonance. And after practicing a few times I already notice a difference in calm, adaptive emotional attitude. For five dollars you can't skip this truly enhancing strategy. I highly recommend.
Ma neuropsychologue m'a prêté ce livre pour m'aider à bien comprendre la pratique de la cohérence cardiaque. Il contient une panoplie d'exemples et de moyens d'atteindre et réussir à maintenir cette pratique. J'ai pris plein de notes pour m'y référer plus tard.
Petit livre très intéressant. J'ai découvert la cohérence cardiaque grâce au livre de David Servan-Schreiber et comme je traverse des bouleversements j'ai eu envie de me pencher sur la question. Ce livre nous apprend ce qu'est la cohérence cardiaque, comment la pratiquer et ses benefices et utilisations possibles. Plus qu'à pratiquer !
Livre concis qui explique de manière très claire les bienfaits de la cohérence cardiaque et comment en faire une pratique concrète au quotidien. J'ai commencé à l'inscrire dans le prolongement de ma pratique méditative et j'en ressens déjà les bienfaits!
A wonderfully written introduction to the world of heart rate variability (HRV). But most of all, a skilfully written introduction to one very simple intervention that can improve your HRV and in so doing, your overall health and chance of a longer life. Or so the research would suggest. The writing style is succinct, easy to follow and has a kind of literary flourish.
I am intrigued and will commit to putting this into practice myself. My own HRV stats are pretty concerning and some intervention is certainly required. i will update the review in due course and report on the outcomes.
I was looking for breathing exercises to control anxiety, high blood pressure etc. There are so many books out with so much helpful information that I felt overwhelmed. I discovered this book which is short, one breathing exercise to follow, simple to do and immediately relaxing. All I have to do is remember is to keep doing it!

Les explications sont très claires mais pas suffisamment étoffées à mon goût. Il s'agit plus de donner la technique que d'expliquer en profondeur les causes physiologiques. Peut-être faut-il se plonger dans des livres plus spécifiques et scientifiques pour mieux comprendre ce phénomène de mise en résonance du cœur et de la respiration. Mais c'est une très belle introduction et incitation à pratiquer tous les jours avec des promesses de résultats alléchantes sur notre santé.

This is so well written, so we'll paced and made accessible. Once started, it becomes a sin not to finish a page, a chapter, the entire book. Only trailed it so far, but it is clear that this is a powerful tool that will work for me. The later chapters on reinforcing, demonstrated that it has an awful lot in common with simple meditation techniques previously used and long forgotten - e.g.the right paths. The advantage here? It's so much simpler to apply and teach.
Ce petit livre est outil salvateur. Il est remarquablement précis et extraordinairement efficace pour appliquer la meilleure et plus rapide méthode pour se relaxer et aller mieux. On est ici davantage dans la pratique que la théorie car ce manuel pragmatique est fait pour agir rapidement sur la santé mentale et physique du lecteur. Il devrait être remboursé par la sécurité sociale tant il évite de forcer sur des médicaments beaucoup de traitements chimiques moins efficients que cette élémentaire mais fabuleux technique de respiration.
