i read this just as we were heading into march madness in 1990. this was probably the peak of my college basketball fanaticism. by the way, i can't stand vitale anymore as a broadcaster, but back then he made every game that much more exciting.

In the 1980s during the infancy of ESPN, long before he became the parody of himself that he is today, Dick Vitale was a enthusiatic, informative college basketball color commentator. This book was written was Vitale was still cool.

Reading this book back when I was in High School helped launch my lifelong love of college basketball. If I read it today, I doubt it would be 5 stars, but at the time it definitely was!
