This book is clearly explained. You’ll enjoy it no matter your skill level. Don’t hesitate to buy it. I like the way she explains how to transform the cookie cutters to obtain other figures.
The Cookie Companion by Georganne Bell Dedication page then reviews. Table of contents where color schemes and charts are highlighted. Intro talks about book and its chapters and how they play an important part in cookie decorating. Examples of different decorating icing is enclosed. Tips about how to decorate cookies or cupcakes are given. Color charts are fantastic tips as it tells you how much of one color to add to get a slightly different shade of the color. Love how it uses one cookie shape and if you turn it upside down it's something totally different but still in Christmas collection. Teaches you step by step how to ice it to make it look like something different. so easy to follow the instructions. Animal shapes are fun to imagine with colors they show. There are charts that show you what items you can get at each store, even online links. Index is also included at the end. About the author is included also. Lots of work and time went into this book. Great compliment to your other cookbooks.
When I first flipped through this I thought, “oh never mind this is beyond my abilities”. But then I sat down to read a few pages and read the whole book in one go. I can do this! Or at least this book makes me think I can.
Great information, clear and well explained. I do have a few basic questions (how do you time the mixing of colors in a way that the icing doesn’t dry out?), but I am going to dive in. I love that the author doesn’t use any cookie cutters for the shape they come in and provides step by step instructions.

Found on a free site, this is a fabulously instructive book. I especially love the dogs and mermaids! Not the kind of book you read from cover to cover, but, rather, keep for reference!
