This sits between chapter 22 and 23 of Ghost in the Seal. It adds context to Kylon's feelings towards Caina as well as affirming some choices he has made. It is not needed to enjoy the main series as with many of the side books they just add extra context and spice. I highly enjoyed seeing Kylon's side and also the hunt that he takes a part in.

A bit of a boring short story, I think Kylon is a bit 'nice but dim' and I prefer the books from Caina's perspective.
