Please Don't Mind: A Complete Detox of One’s Head

Rate this book
Conflict seems to be everywhere. From the conflict we have with our thoughts to the conflict in society. This book explains how conflict is created and sustained by the human thought-structure and society. And in doing so, exposes a majority of ideas, beliefs and thoughts held dear by humanity to be either assumptions, or misinformation spread by a few to control the rest.

The book is divided into two parts. The first part explains the reasons an individual may be in conflict with themselves by exploring their dreams, hopes, fears, beliefs, ideas and thoughts. While the second part talks about the reasons conflict exists in society by exploring an individual’s relationship with oneself, with others, with society, god, religion, government, law, countries, ideas and environment.

If I am here creating other people’s dreams and nightmares, did someone create my dreams and nightmares? This thought stuck me while working as a copywriter in the ad industry. And when the answer was an overwhelming yes, I wondered if there was anything truly mine.

It was then I started looking at all the things we are made to believe and take for granted. And the closer I looked, the more stupid they seem. The book 'Please Don't Mind: A Complete Detox of One's Head' is a result of all that I learnt and more importantly, all that I un-learnt.
