The Technique of David Russell: 165 Pieces of Advice from a Master Guitarist

Rate this book
From 1992 to 1998 David Russell was given an annual course in Seville. His last visit encouraged us to look back over the notes we have been accumulating since his first visit and the idea emerged of presenting a summary of the most outstanding ideas. Our aim is to use them as a basis for reflection and as the beginning of a deeper analysis of the technique of this famous concert performer.

Some of the advices are more like philosophy of playing/learning, some are so specific as how to play the first note after having a big jump so the music doesnt feel disrupted. Surely not gonna cover everything to be used as a guide book but highly recommend as a pick-up reminder.

Magnífico libro. Todo un clásico de la técnica guitarrística del maestro David Russell. Amena lectura y muy práctico. Imprescindible para todo el que se plantee seriamente una carrera como guitarrista.
