I swore never again, but now that I have Susan, I can't let her go...I had it all, and I threw it all away.Bikes, tats, a body to die for, and girls lined up by my bed.I lived for the road, the parties, and the adrenaline rush.Until I f***ed up and fell in love. And when they lowered that coffin in the ground, I swore never again.Once was enough. Then along came Susan.Smart, sassy, with lips begging to be kissed. She thinks I’m just another dumb biker. An organ donors on wheels. She has no idea who she’s messing with. She’s too prim, too proper, too good …All the more reason I want to make her bad.To keep her in my home.To keep her in my bed.To make her mine and NEVER let go.Wreck Me is a full-length, standalone romance with hot sex, strong language, and an HEA.
It could have been so much better but the heroine is extremely unlikable for 2/3 of the book. And not just to the hero. She pretty much doesn't like anyone but her EMT partner. She's judgmental and shows a big lack of compassion for someone who states she wants to help people.
The H & h don't spend enough time together and there is a lack of tenderness until late in the book. The love scenes were boring and lacked heat.
What I can’t quite understand is, are Evelyn Glass and Kathryn Thomas the same author just different pseudonym? Both have published this book, but under different titles, Kathryn Thomas have called hers “Arsen: Blacktop Blades MC”..
So bummed!! The blog on this story looked so promising & after having read "Damned" by same author I was hopeful. This particular story read as if it was a broken down MC and the relationship was just like what the MC was doing: counterfeit. But I am not giving up hope!! On to some more of this author!!
After reading several other of Evelyn Glass books, I have to say this is one of my favorites. The grammar and spelling mistakes were a minimal and the story was exciting from beginning to end. This was definitely one of her better books. Jim was having a hard time forgiving himself for his wife's death. After ending up in an accident, he met paramedic Susan. At first she didn't like him, but did desire him. After coming to an arrangement between each other, they soon find out that keeping to that arrangement is going to be harder than expected. I highly recommend this Evelyn Glass book above all others.
The writing was pretty good. But, the characters were off. The H I just didn't get. I couldn't judge anything about his relationship with his dead wife. I was confused on that part. The h, well she was just plain neurotic. They went from hookups to BAM, I love you, and it didn't work out for me considering they were still judgmental about each other. I just didn't believe in this love story.
I really read this book fast. Jim is a fantastic H Susan?,not so much, she redeems herself in my eyes ,but, she is such a brat and so judgmental that even though Jim forgives her, I have a really hard time liking her. She has her reasons ,but it really affected giving this book 4-5 stars. I sure hope there is a book with the secondary characters. I would say read this book. It really was a good story.
First time reading anything from this Author, really enjoyed this book but was kinda long in certain spots. But she has a new fan , on to her next book.
