"Beast" is the story of Bridget and Beast

Bridget, what a weak woman. I could not feel sorry for her. She was naive, and weak. She looks at herself in the mirror and doesn't recognize the woman she's become. Her ex changed everything about her, her hair, her clothes, etc. And here she is, changing just as quick as she can for Beast.
Beast's "inner" monologue was much better than when he opened his mouth. And of course, we have to have a male character with an 11" penis. Really? Realistic much?
But I do want to give her props for taking all 11" of Beast.. *anally* .
Beast and Bridget are step siblings. The last time they saw each other she was 14 and he was 18. They have not seen or spoken to each other in 20 years. She goes to him for help, her ex, who is in the mafia, is looking for her and means to kill her because of something she's seen. Beast is the only person she knows to turn to for help, even though they didn't leave things on a very good note when he left to join an MC and she and her parents moved away.
And what does Beast do? He tells her that he'll help her "for a price". How nice. But, at this point, she'll do anything to save her life. Even give up her body to Beast and all his brothers. Beast takes full advantage of her and her naiveté.
Beast goes on and on about how she played center stage in all his sexual fantasies. Ummm. Dude, when you saw her last she was FOURTEEN! One line that turned me off immediately.. "I want to fuck your pussy and fill you with my spunk." Said the same day they meet after 20 years. And seriously? Who says "spunk" anymore?
Finally, finally.. at chapter 11 we start to see some discussion about Rafe and what the club is going to do!!
It lasts for less than a couple pages and we're back to sex.
It does pick up again around 70%. We do get to see Beast when he isn't a complete dick. But Bridget is still a hot mess. But she's his hot mess, and I can't think of two people more deserving of each other.
I like these authors and have read other books they've written, but they totally missed it with this one.

Not even sure what I just read. It was like some guy, Beast, playing at being a dominant and a bad ass biker. It seemed to me that the only way he could get to Bridget was to hold his, and the club's, protection over her head. Fuck me; Submit to me; Suck my dick; if you want my protection.
By 45% I was ready to DNF this book. Forty-five percent! Up to that point it was sex, sex, and more sex. Don't get me wrong, I love sex in my books, but this just wasn't believable in the least, and I didn't get the warm fuzzies from it. But I figured I needed to keep going to at *least* get to the damn story. Where was Rafe? Was there going to be a showdown? Was I *ever* going to find out?

This story was dark, gritty and very, very smexy. Bridget was a good girl and Beast, a bad boy but they both wanted each other. You instantly see their relationship change from just sex to love although Beast tried hard to keep his emotions in check. They were steps not blood sister and brother so the taboo was not a bad thing to me although King, Payne, Grim and Reaper continuously threw the quasi-taboo in his face a lot!
Although, the authors Sam Crescent and Jenika Snow mentioned that this book can be read as a standalone, I think differently. Demon from the main chapter of the Soldiers of Wrath is mentioned with his wife, Deanna as well as Zeke because of his too sadistic way of killing people.

The timeline was all messed up. Bridget has a stepbrother named Beast..their parent got married when she was 10 or so and Beast is 4 years older. He left home to join an MC at age 18 so now he is 38 and has not heard from his step sister in 20 years. She calls with trouble and in exchange he gets to fuck her.

This is the first book in the Soldiers of Wrath MC: Grit Chapter series. Bridget is in trouble, her ex boyfriend and his father are looking for her so they can kill her. She goes to the only person she can trust her stepbrother, Beast who is a member of the Soldiers of Wrath MC in Grit. They haven't seen each other in a long time and they are both surprised at how much they've changed. Beast offers her the club's protection in exchange she must give him her body.

Epic Fail
Really poor way to introduce a new MC chapter series. I don't understand why authors would do something like this unless it's because they just crank out so many sex books that they don't really care much about any other aspect of the story (and there are plenty of writers that do that). At any rate, they dropped the ball on this one when they could have done so much more with a little more effort, and it's really disappointing.
Anyway, this is the first book about the Grit Chapter of the Soldiers of Wrath MC (a series I've read) and one would think there would be some more world-building, a setting, character building, etc. Instead, we are treated to a bare bones novella that doesn't further the series in any way I can figure out. Maybe I feel this way because I have been reading some outstanding MC books by other authors lately and this comes along, and it was so offensively bad. I know these two can produce better stories because I have read a lot of them. I'm also talking about the basic writing style... this seemed like it was written by a high school boy.
The first big sex scene was gross... humiliation and abuse. Nothing sexy about it, imho. And what's with beating a woman with a belt? WTH!
I kept reading because I paid money for the book and I figured that if I got past this disgusting, not-sexy part, there would be a story. So, the bikers decide to go after the bad guys threatening Beast's girl, Bridget (and the MC because they protected her). Of course they do, good so far...
But... then, you have a bunch of bikers storm into a casino and murder the two head guys and no one is caught on camera? No witnesses? Messing with security guards at the door and nothing happens? Seriously? Have these authors ever been to a casino? There's muscle and cameras everywhere!
While that happens, the h is shot in the clubhouse by a sniper across the street. What competent, 1% MC clubhouse would have windows vulnerable to a sniper from a building across the street?
This was like reading a book that tries its utmost to insult the reader's intelligence.
So, a lot of the rave reviews you will see for this book are from people who get free books for a (good) review. I purchased this and I feel ripped off in this particular case.

Spoiler Ahead
This was a short quick read that I really liked. (The Soldiers of Wrath MC: Grit Chapter, #1) is a spin off of The Soldiers of Wrath series. Bridget is in trouble, and knew the only person that can help her is Beast, a hardened biker she's grown up with. He isn't just a man he is also her step-brother his father is married to her mother and he hasn't seen her in 20 years. Beast has wanted Bridget for year it was the reason that he left home. Growing up Bridget was the good girl after she graduated from college she got a job as an accountant at a Vegas casino and became the personal accountant for who she thought was a business man Francis Rodriguez who was involved with the mafia and on top of that she was engaged to marry the man's son Rafe who she gave her virginity. Beast has spent his years with the club doing club business and having sex with club women trying to forget about her. This was a pretty good book lots of sex and it was pretty hot. I love reading both of these authors this book moved fast it was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. This was the first book in a new series and I am looking forward to reading the next book.

After witnessing something she should not have, Bridget is on the run. She knows of only one man she can run to, Beast. Beast is crude, rude, and likes playing games. I think the games put me off a bit as he seemed to get off on trying to hurt Bridget. Bridget falls for Beast and than midswitch Beast becomes sweet and caring. Might reread to see if different perspective.

I don't know what I was expecting but it wasn't this!
It wasn't a dude humiliating his step-sister turned lover just for shits and giggles by telling her to crawl on the damn floor on hands and knees towards him and she's so fucking stupid that she actually does it. You can already tell that I don't like Bridget, the female lead right?
It also wasn't an insta-love scenario either! These two haven't seen each other in like two decades but supposedly all they ever did was think about each other during those years? She was like 14 the last time she saw Beast, WTF was his real name anyway? What the fuck does she know about love at that age? All of sudden she sees him and she's madly in love with him! I really hate scenarios like that! Just keep it real for once, you don't necessarily need to fall in love within three seconds of seeing/meeting someone or even fucking someone to make the story plausible.
It was nice to see Zeke has influence over so many people..lol. We get it BTW, you are the Grit Chapter of the Soldiers of Wrath MC, no need to keep mentioning it over and over again. Though this chapter seems more like druggies than anything else but it's to soon to judge so we'll see...also it's pretty farfetched to believe that a whole group of bikers can just waltz into a casino armed and kill two men and waltz right back out with no repercussions? That's very unbelievable, even for a fictional MC book...just saying!
Two stars because the sex was super hot and the story did have some potential but that's basically it. (I think I'm being biased with my ratings because I like these writers and have read basically everything they have put out there, at least MC related, so I'm always willing to give their books a try, negative reviews and all!) With two awesome writers at the helm, I'm hoping this doesn't turn into a crap series because at only 96 pages on my Samsung NOOK tablet, not only was it short, it was disappointing as hell. Sadly they missed the mark with this first book into their new series...

I'm not sure what to say. This simply wasn't well written. The story was overly rushed, characters one dimensional, dialogue childish. The storyline itself has been done, many times, so nothing original there. Better places to spend your $

Bad Writing! Awful repetitive rubbish!
Reptitive doesn't even begin to cover this. On the first page the town of Grit was mentioned over a half dozen times alone! 'She stood in front of the Grit sign', 'She'd grown up in Grit', 'She'd left Grit', 'Now she was back in Grit', 'She walked to the only diner in Grit', 'Her stepbrother was an MC member in Grit', 'The Grit chapter of the MC'. I get it, the book is set in Grit! Grrr!!! That alone tells you how little attention the authors paid to how badly repeitive this is. I thought I'd scream if I had to read 'Soldiers of wrath Grit chapter' one more time!!
There are wrong words used throughout, something as simple as 'is' instead of 'if', and 'leg go' instead of 'let go' and missing words. And OMG seriously just stop talking about fucking and just do it already! The male lead talks about how he's going to fuck her so good for about 20 pages, before he actually does it and then it just cuts off before they climax, going to a completely different scene with different character's. They talk constantly before and during the sex scene and it's all this repetitive, long rambling talking and internal monologues, that really destroys any heat there should be in it. The scene is also beyond unbelievable, it is over 20 pages long and yet neither of them climax, despite 20 pages of him jerking off and her rubbing herself! The sex scenes are Awful!!!

It's really annoying that these authors seem not to care about giving their readers a decent read for the money they're paying them! Do not bother with this!

The scene is also beyond unbelievable, it is over 20 pages long and yet neither of them climax, despite 20 pages of him jerking off and her rubbing herself! The sex scenes are Awful!!!
The writing is seriously repetitive, sentence and phrases repeated constantly. Basic vocabulary poor punctuation, bad grammar etc. I don't get how it's possible that this is so badly written, because even a quick re-read would have caught these mistakes and repeats. The story is just so boring. It was just pointless for him to tell his brothers to treat her like she would have to fuck them, when seconds later he repeatedly tells her that she would never have too fuck them! It's really annoying that these authors seem not to care about giving their readers a decent read for the money they're paying them! Do not bother with this!

Well that was interesting..
Well, another addition to The Soldiers of Wrath..the Grit chapter is sadistic. Their members are crazy and they love it.
Bridget and Beast haven’t seen each other in 20 years..out of the blue, she calls him when her life is threatened and he’s there, ready to help her...for a price.
The book is a typical MC book..it was a little more raunchier than I liked and Beast was more brutal than he had to be plus his emotions were all over the place in the span of minutes. While I prefer the original Wrath books, this one was ok.

I typically really like the stories these two authors write together a lot of the time there's a little bit of kink, roughness, and taboo but at the same time romance, but this story felt like it missed the mark.

Wow. That was a good way to start new series. I loved every little plot here. I enjoyed the club. I enjoyed secondary characters. And I'm impatient to find out more about them. I enjoyed kinky, sizzling moments between Bridget and Beast.
Though, I have to confess, I didn't connected with Bridget. I don't say she was a unlikeable character. Just she was to... Naive? I really can't find the right word to describe her. The little snippets we are giving into their past, I could tell, though she was young, Bridget was something with backbone. But at the present and seems for a few past years, she lost all her fire. She was scared doormat. And thought, Bridget acknowledged that in the past years was one mistake after another, it really didn't make me look more favorable towards her. She came to me as a mess. I don't say she needed to be some kicka$$ b¡tch or something like that. Sometimes sweet, angel like heroines can made you so proud of them. And I was missing that feeling. On the other thought, not all heroines need to be the same. But still.
But I loved Beast. Even though he can be a really kinky bastard. Lol. And stubborn. That man really can be hardheaded. He has these feelings for Bridget for twenty years and he tried his best to ignore it. Well, at least as much as he could. I thought of those long waisted years, that they could have been together. But again, maybe it wasn't theirs time then. They weren't ready for their's feelings. They needed to live a life more. To grow up.
Despite that I really am not a big fan of Bridget, I liked connection between her and Beast. I saw it. I felt it.
And this being Jenika and Sams story, we are introduced more deeply with other club members. And though we are given snippets of next books bikers POV, and I really looking forward with his story, I found myself more intrigued with another. Actually, two others bikers. With twins. The Master of Torture. They really made impression on me. And I kept thinking, what kind of woman will be able to tame them?

Bridget was a good girl growing up and her step-brother Beast was the typical bad boy. He's was always getting in trouble so once they became 18 they went thier separate ways. Beast is now a member of the Solider's of Wrath:Grit Chapter MC ands he's a no nonsense take charge alpha. Bridget is on the run from the Mafia and needs Beast and his MC's protection. Can Bridget finally admit her desires or will she keep her inner bad girl hidden? Will Beast finally claim Bridget as his or will he just play with her? This is one of Crescent and Snow's more gritty MC's with lots of alpha's who don't take crap from anyone. Beast is all about the brotherhood and will do anything to protect what's his. There's plenty of hot sexiness between Beast and Bridget that will leave you panting for more. Warning Beast is crude and rude but man he's so hot while doing it. There's nothing better than a alpha like Beast.

While they may be step siblings they have never acted like it and when Bridget gets into trouble Beast is the only one who can save her. But will she be able to repay him for the favor and will she be able to deny what she knows she feels for him?
This story about the Grit Chapter was an exciting beginning to a new series. I do hope there is more crossover with the original Soldiers of Wrath series and Zeke's series too. It would also be nice to expand on the character background a bit more.

A Great Book!
I liked reading Beast, all about her stepbrother Beast a head of MC club & his stepsister Bridget. After college she got caught up with two very bad men Rafe & Francis Rodriquez, you see they hired her to do bookkeeping for them, but she got wind of a murder and she ran for her life. That's how she got reacquainted with her stepbrother. She went to him because she is in danger! The author wrote a very interesting story and the characters brought said story to life! If you like hot steamy taboo stories, then this might be the story for you. It was hot, hot, hot!

Loving Grit
This starts a new series with new members but the same Soldiers of Wrath attitude. I find I like this chapter a little more then the original. The woman aren't pure as snow. Can't wait to read more. Bridget is still a little naïve but she still has backbone. Beast has always wanted Bridget but he felt she wasn't strong enough. Now she has nowhere to go to get away from the man that wants her dead. So she goes to the one man that has always scared her. Good read and hope they continue with this series.

Book 1 in the Soldiers of Wrath MC: Grit Chapter series.

This is a good start to a series. A really enjoyable book. Has a bit of everything you need in a good read. Just wasn't quite there for me. Strong men that are definitely Alpha material. The relationship between Beast and Bridget is well established for such a short book. I believe this book really sets up the Grit Chapter series well by incorporating the other books related to this and Zeke. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of he series will pan out.

it felt really pedestrian in its flow and the characters a bit 2 dimensional. maybe it is because this is a quick read (at least I hope it was restricted as a quick read) but I did not connect as well as others might have to this MC.
