The blue text boxes in the margins give specific information about political leaders and groups – an example “Jihadi John: the Man Behind the Mask”. Several chapters include a page entitled “More to the Story” which include information on a topic such as “Life on the Run from ISIS”. The author provides information and photographs many may know from new reports, but delves deeper into the relationship of ISIS with other Middle Eastern terrorist groups, the different names the group is called and why and how the terrorist group came to be established. It also shares little known information about Camp Bucca a United States run prison during the war which brought together many jihadists that are now leaders of ISIS. The index of the book needs to be more user friendly. Many terms needed to access information are not indexed. a more in-depth glossary (more terms) would be helpful to the reader if using the book for research,
