Troubled
I’m doing the best I can. Under the circumstances, I don’t think Mom has room to complain.
“Dani do this. Don’t do that. Dani, won’t you think of your father?”
When don’t I think about my father? An IED in Afghanistan wrecked his brain and now he exists in a hospital bed in the living room. My world revolves around caring for him and aiding his recovery. All I can do is think about my dad, our past, and the bleak future that is all but certain.
Maybe I have the occasional drink, perhaps I use pot to escape, and yeah, my friends aren’t winning any public service awards. But my grades are decent, I mostly stay out of trouble, and I go to every damn therapy session she sends me to. Apparently that isn’t good enough, because now I’m getting shipped away to Tellure Hollow for the winter.
Cousin Bryan “The Blizzard” and his perfect perky wife, Liz, have kindly opened their doors to the troubled teen in the family. With an arsonist setting fire to the town and a massive blizzard closing in on us, I’m starting to think these two are always at the epicenter of crazy drama. Thanks, Mom! Merry Christmas to you too.
Troubled is a short story prequel to the romantic suspense novel, Trapped with the Blizzard. Readers get to meet Dani Marsh, Bryan "The Blizzard" Marsh's cousin, and one of the main characters in the winter sports standalone. The subject matter in this short is on the dark side and certainly for adults only. Caught by the Blizzard, Saved by the Blizzard, and Devoted to the Blizzard precede this prequel, but don't need to be read in order to appreciate it.

This Story is a follow on of shorts with Dani bryans cousin staying with him and Liz for the winter.
I'm Looking forward to reading the next book as the others have all been good and this one is heading in the same direction I think

Loved the prequel to Trapped with a Blizzard. Troubled is a must read before you read the next book. I love that we get a little insight into what is going on with Dani in this book. It makes a lot of the actions that happen during the events in Trapped make sense. And as I have stated in other reviews, Adele is a fantastic writer and storyteller. I am never disappointed in anything that she writes :)

if you are going to read trapped with the Blizzard i would highly recommend reading this first, it gives you an insight into Dani's past and why she behaves as she does, and how she ends up in Tellure Hollow, a very well written prequel. xx

Good prequel
It was nice to see the before. I had somehow not seen this before today but was happy to download. The author did a great job of answering what happened before.
