Emma is a Black/white Muslim American mom of five, ages 6-22, in her mid-forties just trying to live her best life…which usually includes coffee, wine, and an unfortunate habit of one-clicking any pretty special edition that winds up in her feed. (If you DM it, she will come.)

She likes K-pop (#army, #moa) cultivation dramas (Till the End of the Moon,) precioussss silence, and collects more makeup than she uses.

She bends knee to Michelle Sagara West, Anne Bishop, N.K. Jemisin, Grace Draven, J.D. Robb, and Nalini Singh—a nod to Sanderson, Goodkind, Eddings, McCaffrey, and McKinley.

If you are looking for romantic epic fantasy set in complex, diverse, sex positive worlds with morally gray societies, powerful anti-heroes with THAD energy, multi-racial heroines at least 35—if not 350—coming into power, and a central theme of family, both dysfunctional and supportive, then you will binge her stories..

Don't mess with a female bear

Great shifter book. This story has a very strong plot and subplots about shifters and continuing shifter lines during a crisis of genetics.
There is a very strong female lead. There is some light D/s as is to be expected with an Alpha male. Hot and steamy!

Title: Norelle’s Bear
Author: Emma Alisyn
Genre: Paranormal Romance
Format: Ebook – part of an anthology
Pages: 130
Rating: 4
Heat: 5

Main Characters: Norelle & Cassius

Thoughts: I read this as part of the Men Love Curves Anthology not realizing that it was part of a series but with that being said, I really enjoyed it! Norelle was really snarky and I just love that type of character. Geeky sex god, Cassius, steamed up my glasses! Love geeky! I can’t say I was overly fond of the Council and their rules but I loved the characters. Great little stand-alone that will definitely warm you up!

Quick Info
Standalone/Cliffhanger?: Standalone
Part of a Series?: Yes
POV: Cass and Norelle
----------------------------------
Meeting the Characters
Cass - he is to me quite the typical Alpha
Norelle - Brainwashed, bitter and bitchy
----------------------------------
What happens?
Norelle is sent to get Cass as he needs to do his duty and produce cubs. However a spanner is in the works because it turns out Norelle and him are mates. It is a bit forbidden because they both have the gene which means their children may not be able to shift.
Final thoughts
I didn't like Norelle. She was so anti humans it was annoying reading her. She got better as he turned her opinion a little bit.
Would I read again?: No
Would I read this author again?: Yes

I liked Cass and I liked Norelle, and I’m completely fascinated by the lions, but there’s just something about this book that didn’t click with me. Whether it was the heavy political spin or the fact that this pair are, in essence, being asked to sacrifice their happiness for the ideals of a bunch of meddling mothers, I’m not quite sure what the root cause was. I enjoyed the story and it has some very funny moments, particularly with the young lion princess. This series has prompted some questions to my mind, so I plan to continue reading to find the answers.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout as part of the box set.

Not as good as books 1 and 2.

The story had plenty of playfulness and steam, but it touched on some serious subjects as well. I was confused as to why those subjects were not explored more. The lions, for instance, seemed superfluous.

Read it!!

Another great addition to the series! About Norelle and Cass. If new to this series, start at the beginning. Not necessary but does help you get to know the characters better. Took off one star for grammar errors. Give this series a read!

to heal and forgive

When Norelle was banished, she was a determined and set in her ways bear. But seeing Cassius again, has softened her inner bear and made her realize that in time, one can heal and forgive.

*explicit content*
Norelle is Alpha in every way, except she is female. She has been raised to follow the Councils orders, no matter how she feels, and believes they are correct. That is, until she is reunited with Cassius and sees the many options available. The council may have chosen the most short sighted option to their problems. A wonderful, standalone story.

Norelle's Bear

Norelle has been exiled to Seattle for 30 days. She can come back if she brings Cassius with her. Class knows she is his mate but due to a genetic issue she has been told she can't mate or have children. There is lot going on in this novel. Very well written.

ved this story for a honest review , I was not to sure about it, because it was different from the first 2 books. This is Liam sister norelle, she can't stand Liam mate, she is the daughter of the guy that killed their father, she has some argument with liam, about his mate, and tries to go against them, then is banish from the clan for 1 month, to go find Cassic. Who is a bear who should not of been born, or should be at least weak, but turn out to be a alpha, he helps norelle find peace and become his mate. There is a interesting twist at the end. Nice way to meld it with the for her 2 books. There is a box set of all there stories. I would recommend reading them

Norelle had challenged her brother (alpha ) and lost so she had to leave the pack and go to the big city to live for a month. The mothers (older clan women who make rules and get in everyones business) ordered norelle to talk Cassius into mating with a human woman and have cubs for the clan. Once he and his bear saw norelle they knew there was no possible way they were walking away from their mate to have mate with someone he didn’t want for any reason.
This story was awesome so much going on fun, drama, action and hot spice. You will not be disappointed in this book. The characters development on this is wonderful. I connected right away. I can't wait for the next book
Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Great love story, Bear shifters, great new take and some lions thrown in too. I love Norelles character. I can't even think how to say it. She's a good girl doing what everyone tells her is right. She loves her mom. She's respectful and she has a temper and some sass. Love it! Now she meets up with a childhood friend, Cassius, well he's not your average bear anymore. Sparks fly literally. She has no previous experience to measure against so, what's she do? Jumps in, not all the way, she's a smart girl. She has limits and her own ideas.Yes, she wants romance.. Yes, she wants hot, steamy sex. Does she get it? I guess you will have to buy the book and find out...

This is the third book in the Clan Conroy novels. Norelle has a big chip on her shoulders. Not only is she not allowed to mate by council law. She has to make nice with the daughter of her fathers killer. Sent to Seattle as punishment she must bring Cass back to the Den. Unfortunately Cass won't mate a human, he wants only Norelle. How is he going to convince Norelle that they are mates? Will the council agree to his demands about the mating? I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review. I give this story a 5 star rating.

When Norelle is sent by the bear council to convince Cassius to return to the Den to find a mate, she never expected to find something she didn't realise she was missing, but can she really disobey the council and overcome her own convictions to get something she never thought she'd have ?
I loved this story, events have Norelle questioning everything she's ever believed but she's a fiesty female who's not in the least bit intimidated about facing down an Alpha, whether it be bear or lion.
A truly enjoyable read that I couldn't put down.

Received this free Arc copy from the author for an honest review.
Norelle challenges the Alpha, loses and has to leave for a month. She visits Cassius to ask him to come home and face the Council. He won't. Norelle is a strong feisty woman/bear who secretly longs for her own cub. Can she mate with Cassius and get him agree to the Councils demands. loved the banter between them but the Lion king wants Norelle too. Glad things worked out in the way they did. absolutely loved it

Really enjoyed this story. Loved the two leads, they were both very enjoyable characters.
It is hard to change the habits of a lifetime to do what is right for you and not what is right for others.
Norelle had been raised to do everything without question that the council asked her to do. When she is confronted with other truths she has to make a decision that will affect the rest of her life.

Bears & Lions Oh my

I really liked this 3rd book in the series. Norelle is banished for challenging her brother for 30 days and little does she know she's about to meet her mate that will change everything. If you loved the book 1 and 2 you will love Liam's sisters story! Makes me hope there is more to the series!

This is a cute, fun bear shifter romance. Norelle is a strong female lead, and Cassius is a sexy alpha that's the perfect match for her. It was fun seeing these two meet, and their relationship develop.

I'm looking forward to seeing more from this author, and more books in this series.

I'm not exactly sure where to start on this one. I liked parts but others I just felt Norelle was being a bit stubborn. But then again after years of being told you can't mate and reproduce, you start to believe that it would be wrong for a child to endure the same pain you have.

I really LOVED Cassius. I'm a big sap for the geeky bear that looks like sex on a stick =)

A really quick read. Norelle is sent to Seattle to bring Cassius back home. As soon as they meet, sparks fly and, suddenly, she becomes the object of more than one male's attention. There is even a bear and lion fight (talk about chauvinism).

This is an excellent story well written and flows off the page, you will not want to put it down. Strong characters both taking a stand to find there happiness and claim there mate against the council. Forbade to mate because of a genetic flaw that might cause there cub not to be able to shift.
