A beautiful and mysterious neighbor offers to use her unique abilities to help him find his mom. But in exchange she requires Jacob to train as a Soulkeeper, a protector of human souls. He agrees to her demands, desperate for any clue to the mystery of his mother's disappearance. But soon Jacob finds himself trapped in a web of half-truths, and questions her motives for helping him.

˃˃˃ Weaving Destiny, Book 2

Malini Gupta thought Jacob Lau was her destiny. But after months of failing to decipher how she fits into the Soulkeepers, frustration threatens to tear their relationship apart. And it doesn't help that a new Soulkeeper named Mara is ready to stop time itself to earn Jacob's love.

When Malini faces her worst fears, and even death, she learns a funny thing about destiny. Fate is a tapestry of choices, and she has the power to weave hers.

˃˃˃ Return to Eden, Book 3

Dr. Abigail Silva has waited over 10,000 years for redemption and a chance at a real relationship with the angel she loves. But when you're made from evil itself, it's hard to remember if salvation is worth the wait. With Lucifer's plan coming to fruition, she must decide if God's offer of humanity is all it's cracked up to be, or if a deal with the devil is the more promising solution.

˃˃˃ Soul Catcher, Book 4

A murder. A mission. A mystery.

Dane Michaels has been to Hell and back and isn't interested in repeating the experience. But as a human caught up in the Soulkeeper's world, his life isn't exactly his own. No one can explain why Dane was allowed through the gates of Eden, but it's changed everything. Now, the only one who can make him feel safe is Ethan, the telekinetic Soulkeeper with a dark past and a heart of gold.

When Malini asks Dane to be part of a mission to find the last Soulkeeper, Cheveyo, more than one team member thinks she's tempting Fate. But Malini suspects Fate has had a hand in Dane's life for some time and that he could be the key to unraveling Lucifer's latest plan of attack.

˃˃˃ Lost Eden, Book 5

Rules. Balance. Consequences. War.

When Fate gave Dane the water from Eden to drink, she did more than save his life. She changed his destiny. Since the beginning, a covenant between God and Lucifer has maintained a tenuous peace, balancing Soulkeepers and Watchers and the natural order of things. Dane upset that balance the day he became a Soulkeeper. Fate broke the rules.

Now, Lucifer is demanding a consequence, requiring Fate to pay the ultimate price for her involvement. God intervenes on the immortal’s behalf but in order to save her soul must dissolve the covenant and with it the rules, order, and balance that have kept the peace. A challenge is issued. A contest for human souls begins. And the stakes? Earth. Winner take all.

The Soulkeepers are at the center of a war between Heaven and Hell, and this time nobody, anywhere, is safe from Lucifer’s reach.

˃˃˃ The Last Soulkeeper, Book 6

The end is near.

Just when the Soulkeepers think they’ve established a foothold in the war between Heaven and Hell, the playing field shifts.

Spectacular Story

I received Soulkeepers book one free, with the promise to read and review. After reading it I had to purchase the next book, and I got a great deal the six book st was $9.99. This was indeed a deal this is a very well written series. Each book is as good as the one before. It is sort of a worldly version of the Book of Revelations. I loved all of it, and wouldn't omit not one single character, there it's only one unforgivable sin. If you have an open mind and heart you will also love this series.

Couldn't put it down!

I thoroughly enjoyed this series! I've been reading a lot of zombies, vampires and werewolves, but I'm so glad I gave the Soulkeepers a try. Good vs. Evil, God vs the devil and God won! I fell in love with the main characters and was engrossed in the action packed story line; I didn't want it to end. I can't want to start the next series!!

Good read in general

I read all of the books straight through. The first held great promise and I thought good theology. As I continued to read, ugh. The author did a great job of mixing her various theologies, and the concept that all Roads lead to heaven. While I do not agree with her mixing of theologies, this work of fiction was riveting and thrilling.

The story line was pretty ok. Not sure why this was classified as christian fantasy. But a decent YA series.

I started this series after reading the first book for free from iTunes. The books are relatively short young adult novels, and you can tell that they are self published, but I still found them enjoyable.

Spoilers:

Pros: The plot was catchy. It moved along relatively quickly, and I found myself invested in it. The characters in this book (and there are many main characters, if few detailed secondary characters) are a diverse group - you can tell that was intentionally done. The books include discussion of prejudice and bias, which is interesting.

Mixed: This book is religious in two ways. There is a general theme of believing in God; the main character at the beginning of the book doesn’t believe in God but during the book series finds his faith. It can get a little pushy, but just read through that.
In the other sense, the author takes the bible and other biblical pseudepigrapha, like the Book of Enoch as fact and then puts her own spin on it. This is to the extent of characters being the warriors of god, interacting with god and other supernatural beings. It included multiple gods (i.e. not just Christian, but other gods like Native American gods are included.)

It is possible to read this story as just a story, rather than a religious novel. I find it harder to deal with what these books do to science. I prefer books that, if they include elements such as magic or powers have in-universe laws but don’t necessarily explain them using science. This book tries to use science to explain what is happening in the series. This includes water that “affects soul keepers DNA” and is inherited “as a recessive gene” (but all offspring of two people with the gene always are soulkeepers, instead of 1/4), odd misuses of the word osmosis, kidney function being instinctual (as if it was under conscious control), equal and opposite reactions = light must be balanced with evil, etc.

Cons: While there is a focus on having a diverse cast and includes discussions about prejudice based on race, etc. It falls into other stereotypes such as all people in a small town being small minded, and girls who don’t wear makeup being somehow nicer/more natural people.

Again, it is nice to have a diverse cast. However, as the book series goes on, there are more and more characters. While the main characters are reasonably well developed, not enough focus is spent on the rest of the characters and they can be a bit flat. This stuck out most for me in the jump from Dane coming out and not being accepted to the sudden acceptance by his family that he “has wanted for so long” but very little of the intervening story is told.

Amazing Book!!!

Best book series that I have read in a very long time. The characters pull you in and become like real people you know and love. A great way to portray good and evil in today's world..and portray the apocalypse.. I loved every moment of this book and didn't want it to end!!!

Great Series

This series is a great, relaxing read. I'd recommend it for young adults and up. The religious themes are not exclusionary though mainly Christian. A great story arc with lovable characters. Well done all around.

Interesting books with the traditional Good versus Evil theme, with a religious perspective.
