After the training, there was the desert.
Deployed to Afghanistan, the brutality of desert warfare shows no mercy to neither man or dog.

And then, there was the Collapse.
When the apocalypse strikes, Bravo is cruelly torn from his handler in the dying days of society. Bravo fights for survival in the city, longing to be reunited with his handler, his friend.
His journey will take him into the most dangerous parts of the city and country, into the heart of the apocalypse. He will meet new friends, and he will fight for them.

Great book-the story of how Bravo came to be a Marine dog trained to sniff out bombs in Afghanistan with his handler Nathan Ingalls.

When the Apocalypse strikes San Diego where Nathan and Bravo are living after their mission in Afghanistan, Nathan leaves Bravo to find his girlfriend and never returns. Bravo is left on his own and tries to track Nathan down through his scent-unsuccessfully.

Bravo has some adventures (good and bad) until he is rescued and taken to Camp Pendleton.

The first of a 2 book series.

A wonderful insight in the collapse through the eyes of a dog. We meet Bravo as a pup, watch him grow and go through his training and finally becoming a military working dog. We experience the war in Aghanistan through his eyes, and to finally come home, only to find another kind of war - a much personal war.
We experience the panic, chaos, hope and the heartbreak of loosing every thing dear and familiar. Truely a great piece of work.
Miss Summer take this wonderful new spin-off of the Collapse series to newer heights. Can't wait for the next one. Semper Fi Bravo !

An incredible story

This one grabbed me from the first paragraph and never let go. Who would think to write a book from a dogs point of view and make it work so well! I fell in love with Bravo and felt his emotions. Excellent book by a very talented author. And yes Ms Lane, I just spent over two hours reading about these special soldiers and the many wars they have bravely served in with our brave men and women. Thank you for challenging me to learn about them.

Phenomenal. I spent the entire book holding my dog for dear life. This was more than personal for me as a dog lover. My son leaves soon for the Army where he hopes to be a dog handler. I kept picturing his future dog thinking this way, and my son's face as Nathan's. Still a great book from a different perspective. I had read Summer Lane's books about Omega before. I cannot wait for the next segment of Bravo's adventure.

Wow! I'm such a huge dog lover but honestly wondered how a book could be written from a dogs view. This book was amazing and went back to when Bravo started out as a Military dog. It definitely made me look at my girls more and wonder what they're thinking. Thanks Ms. Lane, I can't wait for the next installment.

Good story from the Bravo perspective

This was a surprisingly entertaining story told from the perspective of the war dog, Bravo (USMC). I enjoyed the relationship between handler and K9 war dog and felt that anyone who enjoys post-apocalyptic stories and animal-based perspective dialogues would like this book.

Excellent Reading!

This was my first time reading Ms Lane and I enjoyed it very much. I am a dog lover and a former first responder so this story was right up my alley. It was interesting, fast paced and fun to read. Looking forward to the next book.

I'm a big fan of the collapse series and the zero trilogy. I wasn't sure about a book from a dogs point of view, but I'm glad I read it. I laughed, I cried, I loved it!
