Shaun and Addison married to secure the future of their families' respective billion dollar companies. They’re expected to stay married, and produce children. In the beginning, Addison waited for Shaun, but when she saw it was going to be a loveless marriage, she found passions elsewhere in her cooking.
Shaun had hoped for a good marriage. When he discovers his wife is as cold as her family, he only stays long enough to do his duty as a husband. When he sees his wife on a television interview, he discovers a whole new side to Addison that he’d only hoped existed.
Away from their families, can these two people find true love? Shaun is determined to be more than a billionaire husband, but can Addison allow herself to fall for a man she knows nothing about?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
Ummm I don’t think I can go on! *Spoilers and then some* An arranged business marriage of 3 years - apparently she stood in for her ‘wild’ runaway bride sister.
Living separately for 3 years. In fact, each isn’t aware where the other lives. She arrives on time at the ‘museum’ (house picked up by her mom) where he thinks she still lives, have the duty baby-making sex, locks up after him and leaves. You would disappear for weeks at a time, and only return for that once a month ‘inoculation’.
She’s a big-O virgin. Wedding night was bad and each of the 12x3 times isn’t any better. Well, there's no pain, thankfully but she’d rather contemplate painting the ceiling while the husband grunts over her. She didn’t even think she liked sex, and it was all his fault.
He doesn’t know that she actually has a career - cooking and blogging and writing. She sees him pictured with models and such on a regular basis. Bit hurt but goes on with her life.
Bad? No! Nothing wrong with this scenario cuz I dig just this kind of ugly, cruel, uncaring behaviour from the H.
But then we get this .. From the moment he first saw her, he’d been infatuated with her. Whaaaatttt? So how come she thinks you were marrying her sister and she replaced your true love. “I wasn’t. I can’t stand her.” *Whiplash Brain injury*
”Those women I went out with, I went out with them to help the company. I have never cheated on you. *Facepalm*
”I’m going to give you the wedding night I should have done.” So what stopped you all these years? Lazy louse! “Today, in my office, was that the first orgasm you experienced?” Dude, either you know the answer to that or you don’t….deserve to!
She moaned and wrapped her arms around him, holding him tightly. Suddenly from contemplating the decor she goes to orgasming at just his touch. How damn wet she was. All the other times with Shaun, she’d been dry…!
“I’ve fantasized about these, baby. They’re so full and big, and damn, they make a man wild.” *And some other unprintable, unmentionable stuff* And from a silent grunting lover, he turns into a garrulous dirty talker.
And they start living together. My biggest confusion is - why did they never do so before? They married presumably under family duress/business reasons. The families, of course, think they live together - in that ‘museum’ of a house. Were there no family dinners/get-togethers? So when and why did he move out? They presumably live in the same city. It’s said he got too busy with the business. But when did he shift out his clothes and stuff and where does he put up? Not living together would mean a conscious decision of packing up and leaving. If they lived separately right from the beginning, was it a mutual discussed decision? It's all so vague and hazy! So he’s lives somewhere, leads his own life, socialises with these other women but visits her for the wham-bam-door-slam. And her periods are so regular, they don’t even set a date - he just visits! (Is it programmed in his phone calendar or does his PA remind him?) To a place where she doesn’t really live but he think she does. For three years? The families are none the wiser as well? Sheesh! This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. And he's allowed to run a multi-billion business!
I wasn't even shocked/bothered by her dishonesty in having a contraceptive implant from the beginning and letting him sweat monthly over a dead loss mission. Bet she had a few tee-hees at his expense.
Is there more? I stopped at what looked like a hea midwayish. “I’m your girl?” “You know you are. You’ve got my dick inside you, my ring on your finger, and you have my name.” Cool! And Classy!!
A/N - I reserve the right to rate, review this dnf-ed book as I've invested enough time, money and patience on it. And that includes writing this piece.
I've read Sam Crescent's books and I can say that this is one of my favorite books of hers.
The story was about Shaun, over 30 and Addison, almost 24.
Shaun and Addie had been married for three years but lived separately. They only saw each other once a month to have sex in order to have a baby. There's no passion. And for her, sex was boring.
Their parents demanded them to marry each other. They're married and yet, he had his own life and she had hers. There's a lot they didn't know about each other.
Addie loved to cook and bake. She had the blog, video channel and cookbook and Shaun had no idea about it. Not until he saw her on the television. He was shocked and that's when he found out about her career.
He went to see his wife and found out she's not living in the house he bought for her. Instead, she's living in an apartment where she also makes the videos with the help of her best friend, Darla and a neighbor, Dean who tries all the foods. He went there to see her. They talked for the first time. He wanted to be part of her world. Get to know each other and make their marriage work before having children. He also wanted to be involved in her videos.
He's so proud of her career and success and supported her too.
Their parents especially their mothers didn't want Addie's career. Their families were cold. Lucky for Addie, she had grandparents who loved her when they're still alive.
They had their late honeymoon but it was cut short because of a scandal. But Shaun did everything to protect her and their marriage. I liked how he fought for her.
There's an epilogue. I loved the epilogue. It's great to see Dean and Darla together. Shaun and Addie cut ties with their families but they had their own family now and true friends.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION This is one of those books that has me questioning my taste in books. Things I hated about the book: 1- she is lying to him the whole of the first 3 years of their marriage with an birth control implant while they are actively trying to have a child 2- they are just bad in bed together for 3 years and all of sudden they talk and his penis and her vagina are magical (yes that's not suspect at all) 3- he doesn't know anything about her life and she is on TV and on the Internet. What has he been living under a rock? 4- he was a lousy lay for 3 years and she put up with it to have a baby that she was preventing in the first place. One bad lay, ok even two I can understand but 36 lousy lays? How stupid do you have to be to even show up the following month!? 5- he dates other women for business he said "I did not fuck them" who the hell cares? You could not even be bothered to ask if your wife was available. YOU JUST SUCK! 6- she lets him get away with being an asshole for 3 years? Again that is just TOO STUPID!.
Things I liked about it; 1- they did not sleep with other people 2- they cut off their parents after they told the press about their fake marriage 3- he tries to make it up to her and have a honeymoon and start supporting her decisions. 4- the secondary character drama was great (better then the MC drama in my opinion) 5- they have a cute little epilogue with babies.
This story was an ok read with some smut to make up for the lousy sex that the beginning where the heroine was thinking about the ceiling getting a paint job while her husband got off. Yeah that's exciting. Not!!! I will not be reading this one again and I would only recommend it as a second chance romance.

Earlier i gave this book 3stars but now am changing it to 4stars ! They had a rocky marriage at the beginning(for the first 3years),both made mistakes but they were both faithful :D which is very good :D
Finally they decided to try and save their relationship ! They started communicating and they WORKED to make their marriage strong and i think that's what matters :) Plus you could feel the love between h and H <3 Steamy read + Pleasant epilogue :D
In this story, Sam Crescent knocks out two HEA with Shaun/ Addie and Darla/Dean. The main protagonists in 'Billionaire Husband " was Shaun Woodside and Addison (Addy) who had an arranged marriage in order to bring two failing companies together (similar to a merger). What started out as an arranged and boring union, it took Shaun seeing Addison work magic in an TV cooking interview. He had no idea what Addison did when he wasn't around and even worse he thought the house he met her in each month to have sex was where she lived... WRONG! He later learned that she hated the house because it was cold not the type of house she wanted.
Dean, a handsome model was in love with Darla, camerawoman for her best friend Addy. Because Dean was this well-known model. Darla just didn't think their relationship could work because he was surrounded by beautiful women everyday. Wrong again! Dean wants sassy and opinionated Darla and he goes to London to show her he means business !
I enjoyed this story because both, Shaun and Addison had the wrong view of each other and it didn't help that they had very mean, pretentious and controlling parents who only where about "keeping up appearances." When Shaun put his foot down, well all hell broke loose and his mother take her vengeance to a whole nother level. Then.... no, no, no... TMI...! There will be no more spoilers given... just read it and enjoy this jewel of a goodread!
Mostly just okay. Those "business dinners" could be debated but he was faithful to his wife even though their marriage was cold and they barely saw each other. I enjoyed how he chased her after he found out the truth about her life outside their marriage and was determined to make it work.
I liked it but it was lacking a good enough explanation for the first three years of their marriage husband’s behavior. All I got was he didn’t think she wanted to talk and she didn’t think he wanted to talk and he was so desperate for her that he just wanted to bang her without making it good for both of them and because he thought all she wanted was children because someone else told him that. What?!?
The reasons given for three years of neglectful and abusive behavior doesn’t work! Seriously, three years of once a month dry s e x cannot be explained away by a simple lack of communication. The MMC did his duty in a most appalling way without any attempt at tenderness or affection or even a backwards glance. The MMC even had his assistant handling all the “details” of his wife because she was so unimportant. But then the about face of the MMC because he saw her being normal in an interview. Now all of a sudden he can start showing real interest in her and their marriage and he all of a sudden always loved and wanted her. Bullish!t!! I also call bulldookie that he was celibate during those three years with all those other women he publicly dated during that time and the once a month lousy bang sessions. It was so unsatisfactory.
Again I liked everything besides the reasoning. It was sweet but I probably won’t read this again because it failed so massively with its plot. Good luck.
Addison has been in a loveless marriage with Shaun for 3 years a set up by their families, they don't even live in the same house and only see eachother once a month and it's for sex. Shaun is fed up with how this is going and thinks his wife is like their parents cold and unloving.. what he didn't think she was when he first laid eyes on her.
Addison thinks the same thing about her husband so a misunderstanding is what is going on. Until Shaun see's his wife on TV doing a interview about her cooking videos and cook book. Amazed with how she loves to cook the warmth and how much different she is, he tracks down addison who doesn't even live in the house he bought her. They meet up talk about the last 3 years the woman that have been on his arm (he never cheated) and why they never talked. Determined to change there ways they do. Shaun is at her place all the time watching her cook with her friends Dean and Darla. Flirting back and forth and fixing their sex life since she said it was boring and meh in the beginning 😂😂😂
I gotta say I truly enjoyed this one.. it was a good second chance at this couple really giving their marriage a chance..
Instalove/lust Rough charming asshole-ish alpha male Stubborn innocent sweet curvy gal No OW or OM (he took woman on dates but they were clients nothing more) Slight push pull No cheating Drama Sex Anal play/sex Hea
Rating: 3 Stars. What I liked the most: (1) Addie (2) Drama-less story
The Verdict: The Story's kinda same with this book I've read 2 years ago. There were similarities, except that Billionaire Husband doesn't have so much drama in it (and honestly, the lack of it made things quite boring) .
The book overall, is okay for me (okay bordering on boring--sorry) but, there are scenes that made me raise my brows and got me confused.
Some really dirty, hot scenes and a beautiful HEA - the story itself wasn't terribly plausible (30 yr old billionaire and his wife being controlled in some ways for 3 years by their parents??) but who cares, it's fiction and it was a good read!!
From Everything's Sooo Wrong... To Everything's Just Right!
WoW~ this book takes you on one huge rollercoaster ride, & even though I've read it several times it never fails to sweep me up into the story & carry my heart on a breathtaking journey! I absolutely loved every single moment! Sam Crescent brings well written HEA's onto the page with flair... They're always packed with HEAT, Drama, Hunky characters (Ohhh Yes~ Bring on those Alpha Males!), & all the feels we need in Smexxy RoMANce!
This was okay. The beginning felt a bit clunky and some of the dialogue felt awkward and repetitive but as a whole it was an okay read.
It’s novella length, Scrib’d said 129 pages. The premise was Addie and Shaun were in an arranged marriage. He says he was enamored with her immediately but she thought that he wanted to marry her sister and only backed out of they and married Addie because the sister got knocked up by someone else.
So she was reserved with him, feeling self conscious about being second choice. He says he was overeager on their wedding night and it didn’t go well. With the awkwardness he took her to the huge home her mother claimed Addie wanted and dropped her there. He apparently only dropped by once a month to have unsatisfying sex in the name of procreation. Apparently her mother told him she wanted children right away.
During the first 3 years of their marriage he sees her only once a month for bad sex. He doesn’t realize she hates the house and moved out - she only visits it for the monthly bad sex. She’s actually on birth control and afraid to tell him because she thought he wanted an heir immediately but she wasn’t ready. She has a whole life, a successful cooking blog, a cookbook about to release and possibly a cooking show in the works.
She saw media images of him dating other women. He says he only took them to dinner for business reasons and he’d never cheated on her. It was a fluke he saw her giving an interview on tv and realized she had a whole life he knew nothing about. He didn’t even know she didn’t live in the house.
The weird part here is… WHY?
They met up once a month for awkward bad sex for 3 years. Why didn’t they have a conversation at some point? They are both adults. It’s a jump for my suspension of disbelief. It was nice to see them get their act together but a stretch to believe it took 3 years for them to do more than have bad sex once a month.
Story 3/5, Heat 2.75/5, Angst 2/5
Fast-ish medium burn , they actually have real “good” sex for the first time on page 53 out of 129. Scrib’d doesn’t give percentage and I’m bad at math lol.
No condoms, virgin h, no manwhore, fairly vanilla but hot sex, anal, no major push away from either once they realize the situation - both a bit insecure though, tiny OW drama, smidge of OM drama, no separation once they get it together. No cheating, no sharing, no cliffhanger and HEA.
Safety - she does assume he’s cheating because of all the pictures of him out with OW. He says he’s never cheated and it was all for business stuff.
One of her best friends is a guy, Dean. He’s jealous of him because they are friends and he always tries her cooking. There’s nothing between her and the guy. Dean actually wants her best friend Darla.
I laugh while reading the first part of the book. When Addie and Shaun having sex. And she's thinking about other things rather than her husband. So the book description mention that they are married and led separate lives from each other. And for 3 years, Shau only appear when she's in her fertile state. So that he can get her pregnant. And other than that, there's no communication between them. Until he accidentally saw the interview his wife gave, about her upcoming cooking book release and he's shock. He couldn't believe that the 'cold' wife he married is passionate about cooking. I was like what?? Lol... Idiot who doesn't surf Internet and watch tv?? I couldn't believe that. Then he went to the house to look for his wife and realize that she doesn't live there. And he managed to track her down. After 3 years of loveless sex marriage, they finally had a decent conversation. Like who she really is and who he really is. I was like.. Fine... Ridiculous fine.. I like how they managed to grow close to each other, how he fight for her when their parents oppose Addie in her career. I like how he finally put an end in their intervention by cutting them out of their lives. And the ending of the book is a plus for me. I like reading they have kids and the interactions they have with them. Darla and Dean is totally important in the book. Cos Darla and Dean are best friends with Addie and they love her as much as she loves them. I like it when Darla and Dean end up together. It just add sweetness to the book. This book have too many similar sex scenes. Other than that, I'm fine with it. I'm not a person who enjoy cheating plot. So this book doesn't kill me cos there's no cheating.

Shaun and Addison. The plot was pretty rickety on this one. Their marriage is arranged by their parents, somehow they get off on the wrong foot and make assumptions based on pretty much nothing. Hmmm. They get together once a month to have perfunctory missionary sex to create a child. Not much hope of that happening is there!? Then, by chance Shaun sees his wife interviewed about her successful cooking blog and realizes how VERY little he knows her. So the book is mostly about him trying to reconnect with her and being stunned over and over with what he thought was true (for no good reason) and now realizes isn't. Then there's those that set them up for failure and aren't interested in seeing Addie succeed. This one is a stretch in exercising your suspension of disbelief, but if you can manage it, it's a fun read. Yes there a multitude of plot holes, but the characters were good and the ending was sweet with justice for the evil doers. It was like a good Jordan Silver ending, but without the swearing and the painful sounding sex.
I found this book confusing. For three years Addie and Shaun were married meeting each-other once a month for sex. Sex was awful but hey it was once a month. They never talked or communicated in any other way. FOR THREE YEARS!
Then one day Shaun finds out his wife has a life. One he new nothing about. Shocking that lol.
Shaun is determined to get to know his wife and boom the sex is suddenly A.M.A.Z.I.N.G.
A couple of inconsistencies. One whilst Shaun was getting head he touched his forehead to hers. Damn flexible guy. Two he takes her anally at the end of chapter 7, then Chapter nine he takes her anally for the first time. hmmmmmmmm.
The story had a nice romantic aspect to it once you get past the first three years of nothingness. But it was weak at best. However I did enjoy reading this.
This book felt different and all the same but by the end or just from the beginning I liked it, it was warmed and lovely even if they lived in a "museum". Shaun gave some glimpse of hope, love and dedication. It wasn't that much logical but it was like a belief in someone. So see not so logic but ended up so great.
This story has been told before and while this one didn't make me wanna pull my hair out, it did have some issues. They both misjudged each other, it wasn't just one sided, like others of this trope. With that said, I felt that they completely changed overnight wth each other, especially Shaun. He flipped a switch so quick that I couldn't understand why he didn't see the truth sooner. Another thing I didn't like was that he kept repeating the same thing "I want to make this marriage work. I want to work out our marriage." This sounds harmless but the way he kept repeating himself and saying the exact same thing, it seemed like he didn't care about her or want to get to know her because he wanted to start over with her. To me, it sounded like he wanted to salvage their "marriage" out of duty, to keep up appearances, because it's expected of him to avoid scandal and divorce doesn't look good in the media. I know that's not what it was but the way he said it could have been worded much differently and more nice and sincere.
The way they immediately connected was too fast for me. There wasn't any getting to know each other, no buildup, they just called a truce, started living together, immediately adapted to the other's ways, and were having sex like it was no big deal that they'd been living separate lives for three years. I didn't buy it and personally it was kind of boring just seeing everything fall perfectly into place for them, there was no excitement or thrill, they went from married strangers to married horn-dogs. I just think they skipped over all the important things in building, in their case rebuilding, a broken relationship rather one that never really had a chance to blossom in the first place. Too much time was spent on making sure they connected on a sexual level and everything else suffered because of it. This would have been a lot better with this author's approach to this type of plot if there had been more focus on them taking things slowly and starting completely over. As it is, it was very much a letdown for me and I can't say I'll read this again.
Billionaire Husband is the story of Addison or Addie and Shaun.
Marriage of convenience, CEO dominant hero, innocent curvy cook heroine, their main goal in the relationship was to make a child and they met once a month to fuck which was not pleasurable for her. She tolerated him while he was in love with her but their communication issues were getting in the way. She never showed interest and for the past three years they had sex and it was not good. She wasn’t getting pregnant because she had a birth control implant in her arm. They didn’t speak to each other at all just some words and a goodbye. He finds out she’s a cook and has a book coming out then realises he’s been a terrible husband. She often avoids speaking about him on her show. He comes and they have their real first conversation as a married couple and she’s taken aback because he’s never fully spoken to her. He decides he wants to make the marriage work and she agrees. They make love and it’s pleasurable this time and it’s HOT. Their families are conniving bitches who are interested in money and image. Not their own kids. They call Addie so many names and body shame her for being curvy and Shaun daddy does something about it and walks away. PERIODT. They have twins and a son. After 3 years.
I was hesitant about buying this book, because Amazon listed the page count as 97 pages and the price was $3.99. Normally that's too high for me with that page count, and if you are the same, you should know this isn't an accurate page count. I would say it's about double that page count.
On to the book I liked this book, however some parts needed more explanation in my opinion. Why did Shaun never talk to Addison in the almost three years they were married. He thought she was cold, but it seemed as if he never tried to talk to her. Surely he would understand she was scared after being forced to marry a man she didn't know and thought her sister would marry. He disappointed me with that. I wish Addison has more backbone and strength. I feel she endured a lot but went with it because it was only once a month. I think my overall feeling was that they deserved each other and it's good it worked out for them.
They started out Ricky because they didn't talk and let things start between them.. He is lucky she forgave him because he was more of a shit to her than she was too him.. He made everything an arrangement but she let it go like that.. But he was wrong when he says he never cheated on her, he may have been physical faithful but everyone he took another women on a date he cheated, every tone he talked and spent time with another women he cheated .. Especially because he never tried with Addie .. Sweet sexy hot
I love it greatly! It's longer than the previous books I read written by the same author. It's cliche but not really again! I love the twist. Also, how the story pointed out that you don't have to be thin/sexy to be loved. Sometimes being curvy means having a little fat. There was no boring part! I love Shaun and Addie!
It's too unrealistic. After 3 years of bad marriage, he's suddenly make an effort in the relationship, it's like he just realized he had a wife. And after 3 years of once a month bad sex, he makes her cum for the first time now. He said he was infatuated with her from the first time he saw her, but how can all these years he keep fucking her without trying to make his woman enjoy it.
