Liberated from his prison, young Warlock Conner Sorensen is eager to mingle with the mortals. He has lived the last few years of his life at the family manor, locked down for protection from opposing forces. It is Conner’s destiny to produce an heir of unimaginable power, to turn the tide of control back in the Warlock’s favor. Despite his fate, Conner is gay, thus loathes his magical obligations. Regardless of his preferences, Conner must keep trying, for the glory of the Warlocks. Even after years of failed attempts.
Scott Owen is a timid young man who has focused his entire life on work. Forced to take Conner in as his personal assistant, the junior antique appraiser finds himself enthralled by the man’s good looks and charm. Scott knows it is wrong to fall for Conner. Hell, Conner is even dating the boss’s daughter. All it takes is a little bit of magic to bring these two together.
Destiny can be cruel and unusual, leaving Scott with more than one little surprise. Furthermore, the Warlocks are not the only ones interested in what Conner’s new boyfriend carries inside of him.
A Warlock’s Charm is a must-read, full-length novel featuring a sexy Warlock, his tempting boss, their secret relationship and male pregnancy, or Mpreg. It contains explicit, unprotected love scenes and smoking hot action.
Growing up, Wolf believed there was a ghost in his attic. To this day, he still believes that ghost creeps out of the shadows from time to time. He wishes it would say hello.
Wolf's stories explore the complicated, sensual bonds between men. There are always happy endings just as there is always a dash of otherworldly delight.
I've read many books by Spector, almost all of them really, but this was one of the worst for me. Usually it's the characters that make me hate a story, but this time it was everything. Connor's dad is an asshole, Matilda is a bitch that needed to be slapped and have her uterus removed and her lips sown shut, and the entire war with the witches is a farce. Even at the end, nothing is clear. Which side was good, which side was bad? Both, probably. It just felt like so much was left out and I don't think there is a sequel. Not to mention the editing is lacking. The most reoccurring mistake was using a conjugation of "come on" as "common" which would be fine except "common" is already a word, like the "common people". Yeah, the book is filled with mistakes like that.
But it was good enough to read on the car ride home, and I finished it, so three stars.
For a mature men, they're talking like 12 years old girl. I feel like reading chick flick with penis. This one is a no for me, I did skimming their 'conversations'. It was so boring and girly. No, nothing's wrong with girly, but these guys, exhausted me.
This one is a disappointment. It's sweetness overload. I can't. I'm not letting myself catches Diabetes.
Conner pissed me off in the beginning. He acted like he was superior to Scott. He knew he couldn’t be with Scott and could tell Scott was uncomfortable but still flirted and pushed him for sex. Then he changed his mind after he got his kiss and pushed Scott away. Like a minute later he changes his mind again. He got better towards the end and finally stood up for Scott against his father.
Scott was a little gullible with everything. But I like insta love so I didn’t mind to much. He should have figured out about the tea right away. Conner should have noticed too, I think he was in denial about his fathers intentions. But Scott just went along with everything.
I wanted to smack Matilda she was such and evil bitch. Good evil character. The father was a good and kind of obvious evil too.
Good book I hope there will be another. Maybe a romance between Harry and Tanner. I think that would be very interesting. I want to see more baby Anora too.
What fun! Great paranormal aspects, lots of dramatic action, sweet romance, and hot sex! There were deep questions of good and evil juxtaposed against a hilarious man-whore brother. Conner teases Scott terribly with double en-tenders but also throws a mean fireball. It has so much going on but it all really works. The romance is really satisfying and there's no instant love but one that grows realistically. There is real evil and lots of zealots to be the villains to fight and win against. I just found this a great rollicking jaunt and hope others enjoy it too.
OK, so I really like this author as a go-to for fun, mpreg-filled goodness, but this one missed the mark for me. It just seemed...way over the top and ridiculous. And childish too. Who says "I'm taking a sickie" where "sickie" is a sick day, are you 12? And there was screaming and abuse of caps lock. I couldn't tell if this was all supposed to be light hearted humor, but it just didn't work for me. I look forward to her next werewolf or dragon story, but will probably not be reading the next wizard one.
At first I thought it was just confusion from the lingo, but the editing was very off. It was like this was typed on a mobile device with auto-correct filling in all of the wrong words. Most of the time the writing was fine, but every few paragraphs the word would be a letter or two off (making a different word). "Brought" instead of "bought" or "there's" vs "theirs". It kind of detracted from the story at points.
Wolf Specter is getting better as a writer, usually anything outside of werewolves was just unbearable. While they are improving as a writer this is still only worth it if you have kindle unlimited. It was fun in the beginning but the ending was kinda bad.
This is a well written story. The characters are well written. The chemistry between the characters is hot. There is some graphic violence. This is a good story. I just hope they have another part about his brother or what happens now that the baby is born.
one of the authors better written pieces, story line is really good there are just some parts that feel rushed and not as well fished out as a whole. entertaining read though
This book was just okay for me. I'm a fan of Wolf Specter, but this book wasn't as good as the other books I've read from the author. I felt like something was missing.
